Alice Xu: This rating is strictly about the french toast.The bagel is good, but you will leave with onion breath. I dont have french toast often, but the challah french toast is easily the best I've had. I should say I was expecting a little extra on the presentation because all the french toasts I've had come with toppings and whatnot. This one is presented on a warmed plate, naked, and bare with a small side of syrup. Fruit and bacon is optional and really not necessary at all. A superior display of simplicity at its finest. The challah.is.so.good. the maple syrup is the cherry on top.Clean restaurant and friendly service. No wait on a Thursday afternoon in May.

Best Quests: Going to the newest, flashiest restaurant in town is always fun, but discovering a long-established place for the first time is just as exciting.This was the case with here for us.Serving authentic, traditional Québécois cuisine since 1938, they have all the classics: poutine, shepherd's pie, pea soup, tourtière, pouding chômeur, and more.But the comfort food items don't stop there; they serve breakfast all day, and all their alcohol is locally made here in Quebec.The menu is just too vast to get a good sense of it in one go. We will have to return for more, but our initial impression was positive.

Tennessee Fats: After watching a YouTube review of this place I made it a “Must Go” stop on this trip. The place did NOT disappoint.It’s a smaller place and the tables are packed in there but that really helps set the atmosphere. It’s loud. For anyone that’s noise-a-phobic this one may trigger you but I found it great and could clearly hear the person I was with.The service was fast and they have no problem with English for the travellers in town that struggle with ordering in French.The food was great and you can watch it being prepared at the open counter.A very eclectic place to eat at and a must go for anyone serious about breakfast and brunch.

Otto Tai: It's not an Internet celebrity restaurant, but I still had to wait in line for 30 minutes. The food was delicious and the service was good. When I was serving the food, I adjusted the position of the plate and accidentally dropped the fork, but the waiter caught it with good skill and replaced it with a new fork. Audrey patiently introduced and recommended delicious dishes and delicious restaurants worth recommending.

The waitress asked me many times if our missing companion was going to be long. It took her a long time to understand that those of us who were there were going to start eating without waiting for whoever was missing.

I simply wanted eggs, sausage, potatoes, bread, and lots of fruits, and I got them here. I love going to different breakfast places, and this is now my new favorite. It’s simple, clean, and delicious. The staff are really friendly and caring.One thing I will say is that it wasn’t a problem for me; my boyfriend found it hard to sit and eat due to the narrow space.

Patrick Zielinski: We were pleasantly surprised. Food was decent and was served in a timely fashion, everything was clean. Menu is straightforward.What made it for me was the staff. Felt like pre-pandemic on Crescent vibes; jovial, easy, they were all approachable and super friendly.The background music switching from techno to RNB and then some other genre with varying loudness levels was a bit off-putting, we seated on the outside patio, the inside looked cool.

My food was just mouth watering. Everyone I was with cleaned off their plates. The owner is a top class gentlemen. Denise Brosseau: I went there on a Thursday evening with a group of 10 women. Many had the Thursday special, oysters at $1/ea as a starter, we enjoyed it, they were fresh and good. The service was very good, the food good, the quantities generous. I liked the atmosphere and the music, although a little loud, but less than several other places in Montreal, so I was able to enjoy the discussions with my table neighbors. I really enjoyed my evening, I recommend it!

Rachel Schuurman: Was walking by and noticed the cool decor through the window and immediately turned back to go inside. Place was busy and rightly so. Partner and I ordered a traditional poutine and a mushroom poutine. Both were delicious and I wish we had ordered a latte but we were too full for anything else. yasmine rz: We tried the Jack Daniel's and the Wild shroom Burger, and both were excellent, but the mushroom one was totally different and must be tried! Kerig Ahearn: Absolutely incredible food, everyone loved every dish. We went there with our 3 year old, 5 year old, wife and myself. We liked it so much we went back during our vacation. We had a minor issue the first time and it was taken care of immediately, the staff are very attentive and go out of their way to make your visit special. Would highly recommend for any age group!
