WutSfu: Beautiful place full of nice surprises!

Chaitanya Mukkamala: Lovely bookstore with a bunch of unique books. Most of the used books are in really good condition. The lady who owns the shop was very kind and helped us search for books as well. If you are a book lover, I would definitely recommend a visit to the shop. They are celebrating 50 years soon.

Argo Bookshop: what do users think?

Helen Chambers: Really lovely little bookstore. The kind that you can spend ages in, even though it's small, because it's so well curated and there are lots of written recommendations and collections of books on the tables.Loved stopping in here and it's definitely worth a visit!

Eleuthera Diconca-Lippert: I love this place! I usually buy my books used, but any time I get them new, Argo is my go to. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and they have an online database where you can order in advance and pick up in store. Highly recommend!

Annyra Ly: Friendly staff and has a nice varieties of books there absolutely enjoy going there with some friends !!💕

sage green: The employee working at the shop was really helpful and friendly! My kids loved the children's section. There's a good variety of chapter books for younger kids and I had no problem finding some great books for my 9 year old. I'm really only a fan of science fiction and in that section they had many books by women and marginalized people.I really appreciated the mask policy which remains in place in 2024. More shops should take this stand. All in all my new favourite bookstore! I can't wait to come back.

Reggie Bourn: Wonderful little bookshop with great selection and browseability!

Michael Cunningham: Argo is amazing. Their online store is super easy to find and get books from. Their staff provide an excellent service and they keep you updated on the status of your order. I would easily recommend them to anyone! Thank you!

Gretta Conroy: . I love their staff recommendations wall.

Erlien - Bunda PZ: Great

Macha Lopez: A wonderful, queer-friendly and covid-informed bookstore with nice community events. Thanks to the staff for being so friendly!

Saira Hussain: . I personally loved the wall of staff recommendations with thoughtfully written notes to accompany each book. One of the owners was manning the cash register and give us more detail on his recommendation when we asked. Seems like the perfect place for someone to spend some time solo browsing. Hope to visit again.

Librairie Paragraphe Bookstore: what do users think?

Malik Forrest: Lots of books

Roger PJK: Helpful and friendly service, well worth a visit.

Matt: Great but limited selection.

mary boults: I love books; I love to read. I like to linger in this store, no rush and peruse the shelves; this makes me very happy, not to be rushed. The staff at Paragraphe always strive to get for me the book that I want to read and I so appreciate their knowledge, their efforts, and their efficiency!

Jon Yazer: Terrific bookstore, well stocked, many English titles, and the best customer service. An excellent local alternative to Indigo.

David Astrof: This book shop is a sweet established Montreal Enterprise. It is as good as many of the bigger stores and better than most. I've enjoyed coming here for a long time. I don't usually give a review for any place that I wouldn't give five stars to. In this case, my four-star review has to do with something that most might consider insignificant. With the fact that Amazon has taken over as the biggest book distributor in the world, it seems odd that a small independent bookstore would not compete on a relatively inconsequential matter - offering a bag of some sort with which to carry one's purchases out onto the street, especially when the weather is inclement. The cost of the books that I bought was significantly more than I would have paid had I chosen to order online and those books would have come well packaged. I suspect that many people will still enjoy browsing in book shops like I do but, when they find something that they'd like to own, they may just take note of the book and order through Amazon. If I had planned to come to the bookstore, I would have brought a bag for my purchases. This was an impromptu visit. So, if I hadn't been miffed at not being offered a bag, this review would definitely have been five stars. Visit the store and bring your own bag.

Lais Matuck: This is a gem! The cutest book shop, and only amazing books, to make you think and admire great women! Amazing place, made me feel so welcome and safe! Loved it!

Franck TROUVE: While passing through Montreal, I was keen to come to the Bookstore for a courtesy visit and present my novel A FEBRUARY 24 🌈 thank you to L'Euguélionne for the very warm welcome

Parker Houghtaling: Staff were lovely to talk to and had great suggestions. They also offer some cute enamel pins, and cards! They appeared to be setting up for an event so it was a little cramped but excellent vibes. I had a rolling bag and the couple of stairs at the front were fine for me, but if there was a more accessible entrance I didn't see/understand a sign for it. Wish there had been more text on fatness, but there aren't a lot of positive books about that still so that's not really their fault- they had one copy left of Fat and Queer so I finally got a copy of that, and a zine about "Friendship Fantasies" which was very relatable. Highly recommend stopping by!

Annabelle Morin: Very nice bookstore

Dave Vaut: Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, an incredible selection of non-fiction works from the left, covering feminist topics, sex work, racism in Quebec/Canada/internationally, Palestine, etc.Definitely will be coming back, it has been a while that I’ve been searching for an independent book store like this!

Sen Oglesby: Great selection, nice selection of English books, so nice

Jennah Landgraf: I’ll go from now on!

Jacques M: Best bookseller in town

issou: I love this book shop. Great service and if they don't have a book I'm looking for, they order it and it arrives really fast. Really interesting books on display. I always discover new themes or authors.

Zoe Roberts: Although their French section is larger, they've got an incredible english section with lots of novels I'd never heard of. A very welcoming space with friendly employees!
