Parc Jarry: what do users think?

Jérôme Carrier: What an urban oasis, the legendary Parc Jarry, the perfect place to relax, have a picnic, play sports, in short, have the Holy Peace In the city...If we had to summarize the originality of Jarry Park in one word, we would choose “diversity”. This large 36-hectare urban park is both a favorite place for sports enthusiasts and a relaxation and leisure area for nearby residents. And every summer, the park hosts the prestigious Canadian International professional tennis tournament at the IGA stadium.Very attractive, especially following the pandemic, the park has attracted more and more people in recent years. The municipality plans to redevelop and renovate it. A public consultation process on this subject is underway. The sports center, located to the north of the park, provides athletes with a wide variety of facilities: they can practice skateboarding, baseball, cricket, soccer, beach volleyball, or even ping-pong. You can also play tennis in the Tennis Canada zone or, like many park fans, run on the 10 km of trails. There is something for everyone at Jarry Park and many clubs meet there, combining physical exercise and socialization. The vast central plain is the ideal place for yoga, meditation, free play or kite flying. The grassy expanse and its view of Mount Royal also lend themselves perfectly to relaxation and gatherings. The southern zone displays a more wooded and romantic character. The paths run through small wooded hills and converge towards the pond and its fountain, a symbolic and poetic place in the park. Residents of the surrounding neighborhoods like to sit by the water, under the trees, to picnic or meet. The numerous tables, barbecues, and free high-speed internet access help to make Jarry Park a place where you can stroll for a few hours, or even the day, alone, with friends or family. On hot days, you can cool off in the paddling pool and swimming pool. And dog owners love the large dog park and its community feel.

Ayel Mei Rubia: Beautiful park with different areas designated for various sports, basketball, football, skateboarding/BMX/Scootering…,Volleyball/Beach Volleyball, Tennis, Kids/Toddlers/Babies playground, Baseball. The paths are great both for walking, running and biking. The grounds are spectacular for hanging out, picnic, playing catch, frisbees, setting up kids camp, or flying kites. There are picnic tables where families can set up a portable bbq grill. The vibes of this park is so lively and everybody is just having a good time.Dog friendly park; And also a great venue for outdoor celebrations. The park is very well maintained.Good parking area, little puddles during spring and maybe a little rooster tail during summer.

Nesrine Yousfi: Recommended place to have a good time or have a picnic and enjoy the sunset

falling guys: really cool ducks and starlings

Parc Belmont: what do users think?

Yusuf Zubayer: A beautiful little greenery by the side of the river. Though it doesn’t have anything for the kids, it must be one of the most beautiful spot in Montreal. River lovers like us can spend a lifetime sitting on those benches listening to the river! We visited on a chillier than normal spring morning, trees were still long way from waking up from their winter sleep. We will come here again, I am sure.

JP Laf (JPL): A beautiful large park near the Des Prairies River. The place is more commemorative because it no longer has anything to do with Belmont Park, an amusement park, which operated for 60 years and closed in 1983. The place remains legendary for nostalgic people.

Skysim: My family used to go to Belmont park, taking the train through Mount Royal, long trip.

Andre Chartrand: This city could have done a little better...for this memory of Belmont Park

Alberto Gutierrez: Super cool a good place to fish

Khalid Tangi: too quiet with beautiful view

Kiram Qasem: Great for a nice, quiet night

Achille Leopardi: Busy, busy, busy.
