Lower Canada College: what do users think?

Reyhan Sofraci: Great teachers, great facility, good sports. A great environment that promotes individualism and leadership.

James Galbraith: Better teachers than some of the leading educational institutions in the US. Nothing like it

Karla Reyes: I arrived via the QR code on Lance Stroll's helmet.

Alexander Wright: It’s good the weather outside is weather the weather outside is weather

Terrance Mockler: Attended late 60's and early 70's. It looks like it has modernized quite a bit since then. Such as being co-ed. When I was there some senior teachers still wore robes on occasion. They used corporal punishment too. Certainly better than the public school alternatives back then. You get what you pay for. I have a master's degree from Harvard University and am close to retiring from a teaching career in South Florida..

Susan Ferguson: Amazing school with top-notch facilities, a wonderful staff and students who are polite, friendly and caring. My kids would have loved it there, as would I, had it been a co-ed school when I was that age.

Kyara Chalabi: I go there and it’s fun 😉 😁

The Sacred Heart School of Montreal: what do users think?

Coco Puff: EXCELLENT Teachers. If you put in a bit of effort, you can succeed very well there. Unfortunately not all kids are motivated to do so ... 😕

S Romanosky: Sacred Heart schools follow the tradition of their founder, Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat. An excellent education with focus on intellectual values, community and faith. A blessing.

Paula Worley: A wonderful school. Very welcoming and supportive. Highly recommended!

Louise Raker: Attended this fantastic boarding school in the 60s. I am so thankful to my Mom and Dad for sending me there. I received such a fantastic education.

Nathalie Garcin: Love this school! We're so glad that our daughter is here, receiving a wonderful education!

Rose Triolo: I go here and it’s an amazing school!

Joan S. Paiement: Excellent school.

Tim Murphy: My daughters attended here and both the conscientiousness of the teachers and the quality of the education/environment have made a positive impact in their lives. I've seen first-hand the extraordinary, go-beyond efforts ECS has made over these recent, difficult years to safeguard the overall well-being of the students. Even as I type this, teachers are online with my daughter's class helping them prepare for exams. The ONE QUESTION I think every parent wants to know about ANYTHING that has to do with their children - Do. You. Trust. It.? Yes. Yes I do trust ECS and I'm happy my daughters have had the opportunity to attend there.

Gi Gi: My daughters grew up here. They love their school and teachers very much.

Hayat Montreal: Very Good activities for kids

John Tessier: Great school with a heart for the community.

Rick Sala: My three sons graduated from St Georges. several years ago and I can not adequately express my gratitude to the school and staff for the efforts guidance and respect they showed my boys. While my boys were attending St G I met a Marianopolis College teacher and he described the St G students as standing out in his class by their questions and comments which were thoughtful and insightful.. He said the St G students were not the best at memorizing material but they sure could think.

Collège Prep International: what do users think?

Teodor Sauca: As an alumni from a long time ago, the school is good. Almost everyone from my graduating year still keeps in touch with each other somehow. Most of us did very well in CEGEP, and even better in uni. Some are doing med now, some have lavish tech jobs at FAANG or prestigious start ups, etc. The school isn't perfect, but no school is. But imo it helped develop a drive to do well. The family talk could be a bit obnoxious, sure, but the teachers really did care for your success. And a lot of them are extremely knowledgeable. I still say hi to any teacher I had whenever I see them. Genuinely wouldn't trade this experience for the world.

Alan Van Ora: As an alumni, College Prep is an amazing school with teachers who pay close attention to their students. The environment enables students to focus and succeed in their studies. You won't regret choosing College Prep as your first choice.

Ashley Oraka: College prep. is an amazing school with wonderful instructors. My siblings graduated from here and its principles equipped them to face life challenges right after graduation. They definitely focus on fostering a close-knit academic environment for their students.

andrea: An excellent academic institution with friendly teachers, passionate students and a family-like environment.

Albert Liu: Very good school, teachers are responsible, students are friendly and kind and well educated. This school just like a big family. It is warm and comfortable.

Centennial Academy: what do users think?

Martine Desjardins: This school is absolutely fabulous and does everything to ensure the success and inclusion of all students no matter the challenges they face. The staff is competent and committed and the teaching method is adapted to all profiles. An example to follow!

charlotte Taylor: Centennial Academy has changed my children’s school life. Staff are supportive and approachable. The school’s approach is centred around what benefits children in their learning. Extra curricular activities offered are wide and varied. We could not be happier both parents and students.

Sylwia Bielec: I have a child at this school - they struggled academically in elementary school and currently are achieving at very high levels in the provincial at-level programmes for nearly ALL subjects. You cannot put a price on this success and the self-confidence it gives struggling learners. The one-star reviews are clearly vindictive and maybe even somewhat unhinged.

ELAINE BOROFF: My family love the approach that Centennial uses to educate its' pupils. Our daughter has been there since grade 7 and is now in gade 10. The educational growth and confidence in her is due in large part to Centennial. They also have very open communication with parents and online easy to use portal to view how your child progressing.

Michelle Smook: I have two children at centennial. Prior to sending them there they were drowning in the public systems issues. One had no chance of graduation and the other was poorly performing as they did not have the right support. It is hard to trust any school, administration, teachers or community that historically has done nothing but harm your children’s potential future opportunities and outcomes so when we arrived at Centennial I had to let that go first. I have read through the comments and will provide my most honest feedback on a few of the flagged issues of other reviewers.Racism: yes my children have reported this as an issue but not among faculty and admin. It seems to be what students are saying to one another. With the political climate both locally and globally I am not surprised by this. When it comes to diversity the school could do better. This year parents were polled and we were able to provide our feedback. I feel this will be addressed and this is why I still rate them as a 5 star. Please note I am a white woman and do not speak for the experiences of people of color.Violence: my child attended a school in the public system where a teacher was stabbed by a student. As a professional risk manager I can tell you Centennials policies on violence are solid. I believe at times they could do more to manage behavioural issues but again privacy laws do not always allow parents to know what is going on with another child who appears to be problematic.Price: fees may be cheaper at some other schools however I take into consideration the location, teacher to student ratio, resources, educational support , program development training, and I believe it fits the price.Teacher turnover: has been high. This is not the best scenario for our children. I am unclear what the problem is but if I consider what is going on in the job market for teachers, the public systems failings and how rough classroom life has been in this system that is behind the current times, I would say centennial is experiencing what all schools in Quebec are experiencing. I do not know if teacher salaries are just. Meaning I hope the school is paying them a proper living wage with benefits and regular increases that reflect inflation, experience and qualifications. Finally: my children are doing well at centennial and for the first time showing a promising future. Centennial is a University Preparatory school that will get your children to graduation on-time using current best practices.Take this as you will: as a parent of children who are neurodivergent this is the best option in Montreal for getting your children to “fit the box”, sort of, that they seem to either be excluded from or so challenged to fit that it seems like giving up may be worth it. I personally am torn about this but that is a societal issue not Centennials hill to climb. Education will always be a bone to pick in our family but Centennial has certainly been adept at getting through the provincial curriculum without brow beating my children for their learning difficulties. They in fact give them the learning strategies to get through a world that was not built for them. That is priceless.

p tremb: In other schools my son needed extra help in class everyday and barely passed, felt embarrassed and a failure. Centennial academy, with its small classes and emphasis on learning techniques, helped him succeed on his own.He now foresees going to cegep and university, which are within his potential.

Helene Coulombe: Excellent school! They use a different way to teach and truly help student to acquire learning technics. Both of my sons are smart boys but struggled in the regular program. This school is a blessing. Thank you to the dedicated staff.

Starlight: Awesome school, I'm currently a student there and it a really good school

Pat Gauthier: Best school for our son who needed extra help. I have never seen more dedicated staff who want to help each student succeed and reach their goals. We will be forever grateful for everything they have done for him.

alescio maria: I highly recommend this school I have seen a lot of progress that my boy has made he is finishing this year they help our children a lot to realize these dreams thank you for the good work you have done over these 5 years of study

Sakura: Excellent school, excellent supervision, very good teachers!!!

The Priory School: what do users think?

R M: The Priory captures the magic of childhood in a nurturing, enriching, and stimulating learning environment.

Ying Zhou: The cutest and the best elementary school we have visited so far in Montréal.

Aaron Oh: Choosing the right elementary school was a profound decision for our family as non-French and non-English immigrants. We explored various prestigious institutions including Priory, St. George, and LCC, each exhibiting its unique essence and character. However, Priory captivated our hearts, and hence, this is where our focus lies in sharing our enriching experience. The delightful motto, "Happy Child Learn Best," resonates deeply with Priory’s ethos. It signifies the importance of acknowledging and nurturing the emotional well-being of children in their tender years, fostering not just academic growth but also the blossoming of dreams and motivations. We cherish the inclusive atmosphere of the weekly General Assembly. It's a commendable practice that encourages parental engagement, offering insights into the school’s vibrant life. In a touch of tradition and respect, each session commences with the harmonious singing of the National Anthem and the thoughtful recitation of the Land Acknowledgment and prayers. An exceptional aspect of Priory’s practice is the deliberate and gentle recognition of gender during these assemblies. The Principal’s kind habit of addressing the students as "Boys and Girls" subtly nurtures a sense of identity and inclusivity without overwhelming emphasis.Embedded within the school’s values is the quintessence of 'Care.' This ethos is celebrated in the unique 'Priory Pencil Aware' weekly ceremonies, fostering a compassionate and supportive community of learners.Priory's bilingual program is a remarkable feature, facilitating an enriching multilingual academic environment. This naturally weaves linguistic diversity into the students’ learning experiences, enhancing their global readiness.Every interaction at Priory is filled with warmth and kindness, emanating strongly from the Principal who graciously greets each student and parent, creating a feeling of a closely-knit family within the school community. While Priory’s building may be quaint in appearance, it encapsulates a universe of dynamic learning and joyous activities. This vivacity invokes nostalgia, making us wish to relive the enchanting experiences of childhood.Embarking on our journey in Kindergarten, Priory has unveiled itself as a divine providence. It represents a haven for immigrant families like ours, blossoming as a nurturing ground where our children are cherished and encouraged to flourish. In conclusion, would I recommend Priory School? With utmost conviction and warmth, absolutely yes.

Rosemary Jakimowicz: The Priory School is such an endearing and heartwarming little school. At The Priory, the teachers focus on being responsive and equitable to the individual needs of each child. The staff and faculty truly take the time to get to know the children as well as their families. My daughter has had such a positive experience setting the foundation of language and literacy in both French and English. My daughter’s positive feedback is a true testament to the teachers’ passion and dedication to the children’s learning! As a parent I feel valued, respected, and supported within the environment of this school! Looking forward to spending many more years being part of this caring community!

Eva Sokol: I would recommend this school to all my friends and family. It is a beautiful multicultural community! The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that your child has the best experience in education!

Lonneke Bank: The Priory School is the most lovely elementary school you can think of. Not only do they offer a very strong curriculum, their motto is 'Happy Children Learn Best" and they practice what they preach: the school and their fantastic faculty and staff offer the students such a loving and caring environment - I truly believe it is why my kids are so happy to go to school every day and develop so well. My oldest graduated last year from the school and could pick any highschool; they are all very happy to have Priory students. Another thing I like a lot about this school is the parent community being so warm and welcoming as well as being very diverse.

Claudine C: We are beyond happy with our experience at The Priory school and recommend it to all our close friends and family! The faculty and staff go above and beyond to make sure that the children have a positive and enriching experience. The curriculum is very strong all while nurturing each individual child's strengths. The entire school is such a caring community that you can feel as you enter the building. They really do live by their motto "Happy Children Learn Best" and we could not be happier to be a part of this community!

Amber Trent: We moved from BC to Quebec for two years and we truly felt like we hit the jackpot with The Priory. From the moment we started at the school, we were immersed in the community of the caring teachers, staff and amazing families. You get the sense of being a part of a big family, which is so unique. Our sons started in Grade 3 and Kindergarten and thankfully had an incredible amount of support, especially with the introduction to French and learning in general. The strong values and sense of pride and respect that the students learn on a daily basis will carry with them. Now that we are back home in BC, we are still talking about the Priory and our amazing experience and the friendships we made.

Martin Blais: really cared about the success of the children and their personal growth. It was an amazing 7 years that will be cherished for years to come.

Cynthia Coletti: We are a Montreal based family, with 3 children who attended the Priory from kindergarten to grade 6. VERY nurturing environment. Teachers are VERY dedicated. All of our children got into their 1st choice high schools. Their Priory education was very solid and allowed them to thrive in their high school setting. We highly recommend the Priory school as it teaches children to learn how to learn all while having fun.

Nathalie Petrucci: My three children graduated from the Priory School. We are pleased with our decision as not only did our children receive an excellent education, but an all round beautiful primary school experience that fostered curiosity, leadership, community involvement and ambition to continue with their educational studies. Fabulous caring teachers and staff, the Priory will always be a second family to us.

maria troiano: Such a wonderful little school with so much to offer. The Priory School was chosen from the onset with a warm sense of belonging. Today, many years later we are still happy to be apart of this wonderful school.

Sara Moreno: The Priory was a wonderful place for my daughters. A truly nurtured community of teachers and staff where they were able to explore their love for learning and be themselves. In the Priory, we found an extended family; one that accompanied us in the education of our daughters.

Jack Lin: A very educational place for teenagers.

Noah Leblanc: Really want to transfer there in grade 9

Gregory Kirk: As an alumnus of the school I can say that my school years there were one of the two greatest formative influences on the man I am today. If you believe you cannot afford to send your son, apply anyways, as the school maintains a generous bursary programme.

Ivana Fulminis: Excellent school for boys. Run with care and compassion combined with discipline and respect. Gives opportunities to all boys even those less academically gifted like mine...so long as he is doing his best they are there to support him. Incredible to find a progressive and modern school where our boys can be surrounded by like-minded individuals and their families who still maintain fundamental core values. Welcoming community of parents. Can't say enough good about them. Pity that there are not more schools like Loyola.

Académie Kells Elementary: what do users think?

Seohoo: I went here from grade 2 to grade 6. It is a wonderful school. When I first went there I could barely speak English but in a couple years I could speak English fluently largely due to the wonderful teachers and small classes that allow every student to get the help they need. I would recommend.

Helmut E. H.: Our son Nico went to Kells Academy for 7 years. It was the best choice ever for our son’s education. Smaller classes and the multi cultural environment made him feel very welcome; the tailored, individual support made him thrive . Despite not speaking English when our family arrived in Montreal from Europe, the patient teachers and staff helped him to get up to speed and within months English became his first language. His love for language, writing short stories and acting persists until today and that is thanks to the excellent education from Kells Academy.

Sayer wang: Yesterday is the international day Of kells elementary.I never know there is so many countries in one school. Every one have a blast .we learned a lot of other country’s culture, also we enjoyed the food.

Alex Mahutte: I especially loved the small classes and nice teachers while I was a Kells student. Plus, the staff was always there when you needed them. I would definitely travel back in time to relive those days as a kid.

Audrey Poon: My two boys attended Kells Elementary from grade one to grade 5 and we left the school when we moved to another province. Kells preaches about personalized education and in my experience the school delivered exactly that. Ms.Perlman the principal has always been very informed of the latest research findings in education and I appreciated the many initiatives that school has undertaken such as Healthy Mind Healthy School. I wish the school all the best and continues to teach children based on individual learning.

linda Nemeth: for me, and worked on my son to the point where that initial fear was replaced with confidence in himself and a joy in attending school once again. When my son graduated Kells elementary, he no longer was the hurt and scared child. Today he is

Patrice Clerk: We sent our son to Kells Elementary School from Kindergarten through Grade 6. He loved going to school and thrived in the nurturing environment where his strengths were celebrated and his challenges supported. The staff was dedicated and worked collaboratively with us to ensure his social and academic success. Our son is now a well rounded, confident young man, in part, thanks to the wonderful start he got at this school!

Deena Lieberman: When the time came to choose the right school for our kids, we agonized over the various options. We could not be more happy with our choice of Kells Elementary School.Through the small classes, warm and attentive teachers, novel learning strategies and most of all patience. Kells built a solid foundation that allowed our children to succeed and thrive in high school. The academic success that they have today is a direct result of their time at Kells Elementary School.

Emmy Aronovitch: Kells Elementary is a warm, nurturing and supportive school with a wonderful principal.

Anaya Lev - Rotem Shilo: and socially. As parents, we had an amazing peace of mind knowing our kids are learning at Kells. The atmosphere and attitude are great. The students get to know and respect the diversity of the community. They learn that everyone has his own needs and everyone is OK!! sometimes progress is celebrated by the teachers and the principal. Our sons arrived in Kells with zero English knowledge. Also thanks to amazing Mrs. Farid, the resource teacher, they became native speakers in just a few months. In our opinion, the schedule is very reasonable with a good amount of recesses during the day in a good-sized open yard all over the year. Very reasonable homework amounts that again could be adapted to every student's needs. Mrs. Perlman and the staff is always there for you

Caroline Thomassin: years. I wish they had started their elementary schooling at that school. The small class sizes and tailored learning approach really made a difference to my children. Kells provides each student with his/her own learning experience and the child is able to learn as quickly or as slowly as is best for that child. The teachers and the Principal were always available and happy to discuss my children’s progress any time I felt the need. Both my kids loved Kells and were sad on the week-end and over the Summer because they could not go to school. Kells has not only taught them academic subjects but also life lessons and how to become good citizens of the world. Their Spring Concert is not to be missed and is such a positive experience for the students.I cannot recommend this school enough.

Sai Narayan: Excellent Elementary School my son liked it and so did we the parents!!. The teachers and staff are very good, dedicated, experienced and take genuine efforts to see that the child gives its best and delivers the maximum potential inherent in them. By putting the Child at ease, by evoking their curiosity , by using good smart teaching and communication skills, the School gets the best out of the kids . Highly Recommended!!

normand cote: I can only say good words about Kells and the staff from the secretary, teachers to the director. This school was a confidence booster for our daughter. Where rejection and problems were always an issue with the other school at Kells they were always finding ways and strategies to make the life easier for our daughter. Even now after all these years our daughter at Concordia University still visit Kells to say hi and for a chat with Mrs Perlman.

Lynn MacNeil: Kells Elementary was a great confidence boost for both my children. The teachers are not only involved in academic learning but help with social situations as well. The school and staff were always very supportive and encouraging. It was a great experience!

Johnny Woldegabriel: , we mark & celebrate our son’s 5th year at Montreal’s finest elementary school - Kells Elementary. Tucked-away in the NDG community of Montreal, Kells is simply put, an outstanding, First-Class institution for learning. Our experience at Kells started at the Kindergarten level, and every year since, our child continues to build his education-foundation, brick-by-brick, one solid year after another, in academics, socially, and physical education.Kells offers an Individualized Education Program which has been the key to our child’s successes over the years, coupled with the extraordinary educators and staff, helmed by a remarkable & hands-on Principal, with a small number of students in the class, rich in diversity from all corners of the globe, thus affording our child the best possible environment to learn and grow.Kells Elementary is the best decision we have made in our son’s education and future. When your child is enthusiastic and looks forward to going to school each and every single day of the week, you know you are in a First-Class school, with First-Class Educators. With Gratitude, JW/NH

H Habash: What started off as a last minute resort turned out to be the best decision made!To give some context, I had signed up my son to an all French private school for his kindergarten year. Two months down the line, his teacher indicated that he might be suffering some worrying learning challenges! Knowing how bright this kid is I went to seek a specialist’s opinion, who in turn assured us that these difficulties are merely a result of facing a new language that he’d never used at home, and probably a lack of experience on the side of the teacher. I decided to move him out abruptly, and the only placement I found considering the time was at Kells. Within 3 months of joining kells he‘d learnt all the alphabet and begun reading. In one year he’s turned a bookworm and an a achieving kid who takes a great interest in learning. The small number of kids in classes and the focused and personalized approach to each kid’s learning needs is a big plus at Kells. I would like to thank Ms. Brady, a dedicated teacher who doesn’t view teaching as a job but rather a life quest. The principal, Ms. Perlman, with her hands on and detail-oriented approach. Ms. Miceli who’s a delight to watch around kids and Elizabeth in admin who goes out of her way in looking after the kids. Thank you all for doing such a remarkable job!

Soph Dimitriou: I took home ec. In high-school then I never heard of that kind of class again until my youngest child who's now in W.M.H and this is on of his courses this year.I was very pleased,I already at home teach my children real life skills but the continued education in this area along with the parents participation will teach our kids alot of very important life skills that they will take with them in life.

Lupa Duende: This is a free secondary school that is open to any student whose parents attended an anglophone school in Quebec. There are laws that prevent students from attending irrespective of linguistic origin. Unfortunately, there is a law that prevents staff and faculty from celebrating their religious and cultural diversity. The wearing of nikabs, kippas, turbans, and hijabs are all currently banned for government employees.Education in Quebec is meritocratic, which is a good thing. Educators should be chosen based on what is in their heads - not on their heads.

Collège Salette: what do users think?

Canelle94: Best design school in Montreal, the training is very comprehensive and the teachers are involved in our success. I found a great job very quickly after finishing my training in graphic design thanks to the Salette college placement service.

ED Riopel: Great College! Great teacher!

Math a Phaneuf (mathalphaneuf): and that they are accessible. Salette is like a big family, the management and the teacher are like cool parents. The other colleagues in the class are like adopted brothers and sisters with whom you get along well.Everyone has their own background, which brings a dynamic that I have never seen elsewhere, there is mutual support, I never had the impression of being in competition with them. The teachers do not train us to compete but to surpass ourselves. They also have their professional background, which is what makes the level of teaching higher than other colleges of the same category.Of course, being accepted by the college means a lot of work and not a lot of life

Lyse Paquette: I really enjoyed my two years of study at Studio Salette. I acquired a very good foundation in graphic design. I had a very successful career in the field. I worked in agencies for almost thirty years and I employed graphic designers who had studied at Salette College and I never had to regret it.
