Cloakroom Bar: what do users think?

Franck Cellier: Cozy little speak easy.No menu, all drinks are made function of your taste.Service is excellent, waiters are extremely friendly.Quite on the high end pricewise, but worth it from time to time. The custom made cocktail makes you feel special which is really appreciated.

JESSICA: , and their willingness to engage. It’s cozy in here, perfect solo or date night. Expect a wait

: staff were very friendly, drinks and ambiance r great, very cozy. only complaint is if we could know the prices in advance. we ordered carbonated water without knowing the price and it turned out to be 10$…

Jose Sanchez: Cloakroom is a solid cocktail bar. I went there with the wife and 2 other people a while ago. They don't provide a menu, instead the server asks a few questions to provide a drink within your flavour profile. I found this to be risky as it creates some expectations, but was open to be proven wrong. Drinks were actually good but not extraordinary. We tried each other drinks and I found my wife's to be really good. Problem is I asked for my second drink to be exactly what they made her and I did not get the exact same. The drink was a different colour. Similar but not quite the same. That's the reason for my 4 star review. I think I could give this bar another go at some point. But it would be hard to do with other bars in Montreal like Le Mal Nécessaire.

Kayla Seider: and the drinks were truly the best I've ever had. There is no menu so the bartenders make your drinks after talking with you a bit and learning about you and every drink we had was absolutely spot on. We loved this bar so much, we came back after dinner and stayed until close. I highly recommend this spot and will definitely be coming back next time we're in Montreal.

William Gertler: Great experience, they make you feel welcome and help you decide on what drink to get.

Ian Benson: , you go underground for a really intimate setting, with great music and atmosphere. Relaxed, efficient table service, with an evocative menu of cocktails

Alicia S: We had a wonderful evening. We arrived around 6:15 p.m. and didn't wait to get in. The atmosphere is both relaxed and rhythmic. The dishes at Foiegwa were all delicious and plentiful. Our cocktails were just as good. My favorite was the “40 thieves” made with tahini, simply delicious. The cocktails are all unique and sophisticated, and there are good imported wines. The employees are all attentive. Despite the room full of customers, they are all calm, attentive and efficient.

Bar Le Sparrow: what do users think?

Michel Condoroussis: A great place to grab a drink, they have a nice selection of cocktails. I had a Fuego Fresco which was spicy and really good, followed by the Margarita Lime Kafir which was also great. You can pair that with some snacks or even a full meal as they do have a full restaurant. The food was good, the fries were excellent and the Karaage chicken served in little bite sized balls was very good, although I thought the sauce was a little too sweet. The service is fast and friendly and you can actually hear yourselves speak, which is a major plus compared to many other bars. It got a little louder as the time passed but still quite good.

Hooman A.: At The Cold Room in Old Montreal, every sip tells a story! From the moment we entered, the vintage ambiance set the stage for an extraordinary evening. With each cocktail, we embarked on a flavor journey, expertly crafted by the knowledgeable bartenders. Their friendly demeanor and keen understanding of our preferences made for a truly delightful experience. A must-visit for cocktail aficionados!

John Odonovan: Awesome place. Really hard to find because it's a speakeasy but excellent customer service and really good selection for whiskey at a fair price. Couldn't recommend this place enough for cocktail lovers or whiskey lovers. Wish they had a place like this near me

Jillian: Super cute and not too loud. Has very attentive and nice staff. Drinks were incredible and the staff explain how to best experience some of the ones that were more special. There are different levels of cocktails - some more classic and some more out there. It’s open pretty later and they serve snacks from the restaurant upstairs if you want a bite.

Wael Kallas: The DJs really know how to curate a vibe, incredible track choices if you’re into house/techno. The Moscow Mules were great and all the staff were accommodating. One of my favourite spots in the city - highly recommended!

El Pequeño Bar: what do users think?

Stephen Inniss: A tiny bar located right next to The Coldroom & across from Bar Bisou Bisou, El Pequeño bar stands out from its sister bars. Like it's name, its very small, seats less than 10 people and little standing room. But rather than detracting, it adds to the intimacy of the bar and a close knit vibe. The cocktails are all Cuban twists on rum based classics like the daiquiri and Pina Colada. I thoroughly enjoyed the drinks!

Kat D: Cute little bar. Good atmosphere. Service was good. Got a banana sazerac at $20 is was ok. Has an outdoor patio out front.

Richard Martz: and I was blown away. Beautiful, sophisticated design, but still feels intimate and low key. Staff were fun and friendly; drinks were fresh, interesting/unique and stiff.Loved the vibe overall and definitely worth making a detour for - it's a great spot for a date, to hang with friends, or to entertain business colleagues/clients.They've completely upped their game even further and cemented its status as one of the best cocktail bars in the city.

Dominic Ling: Great little bar that recently moved to a larger location. They have an extensive drink menu that will have you trying something new every time. Try the froot loops shots, you will be surprised. I had the Big Fun in Little China, great drink for those who love strong ginger. It even had a fortune cookie! The vibes here are just right on a night out. They even had a DJ when I visited.

Bar Pamplemousse: what do users think?

Raphaël Sylvestre Bouchard: Last night was a catalyst for a deep rethinking of my lifestyle over the past year. Lying on my bed, facing the wall and kept awake by my late coffee, the formerly exhilarating feeling of discovering delicious places to eat was replaced by a feeling of emptiness, of futility. Was Bar Pamplemousse so terrible and the source of this disillusionment? No, it’s quite the opposite! Everything was pleasant, starting with the sublime jerk half-chicken with its delicious smoky taste, through the warm and welcoming character of the bar, to the excellent choice of beers on tap at reasonable prices. In addition, I was in the presence of a friend who was precious to me and always excellent company. However, I did not seem to be able to take full advantage of it and this perception caused me deep distress. Could it be because I go there so often that the experience loses its exceptionality? Could it be because I should instead indulge in other, more “enriching” activities such as learning to cook or even dance? The answer to these questions remains unclear, but I am following a different line of thought. What if the discomfort simply came from ungrateful behavior? Being unable to feel grateful for all the blessings I receive daily. Being incapable of realizing how lucky I am to be in Montreal and to have access to such culinary richness which has nothing to envy of the tables of the kings of Antiquity... By dint of living in the abundance, even abundance is no longer enough.Gratitude, often compared to a muscle, requires a break from the hectic pace of life to exercise. You have to join your palms under your chin, take a deep breath and say “thank you”. Not an easy task for someone constantly looking for “productive” activities and allowing themselves few moments of respite. So, thank you to Bar Pamplemousse and the entire team for the hospitality and the delicious meal. I also appreciated the layout of the space and the reasonable level of the music which allowed discussion without raising my voice too much even at full occupancy. That said, three small churros for $13 seemed a bit parsimonious to me. Why not two more?Vegetarian options: Yes, but they are quite limitedParking: We went quite far to find a free one.Kid-friendliness: No... It's a drinking establishment.Wheelchair accessibility: We can say, we “just” have to take one step.

Martin Berger: . They aren't patient, cut off customers mid-sentance when totally unnecessary, and do not track the table throughout the meal.3. Ambiance... WOW! This building is an absolute gem and it pains me that the food and service don't do it justice.

Nutrizone S.: Stepping into this gem of a restaurant, we were immediately enveloped by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was nothing short of impeccable, with each staff member exhibiting a keen attention to detail that set the stage for a perfect dinner. Our waiter, notably knowledgeable about the wine selections, expertly paired the perfect wine- enhancing the evening's culinary journey. Chef Donnel English is a master. His creations were simply out of this world, each dish a testament to refined skill and creativity. The gourmet gnocchi, hands down, ranks among the top three in the world that I have tried. pillowy, perfectly seasoned, and just sublime.
