The French School (Learn French Montreal): what do users think?

vinita palkar: for being amazing teacher. I was bit hesitant for online french class but the way Thomas conducts the session, c’est interessant. His every session is very interactive and funny. The way he structured whole course is commendable. He is very patient with your doubts. His session is like a dopamine for me, I used to wait for every session eagerly. Thank you so much for your training, highly recommended those who are willing to learn French.

Anthony Subero: C'est un excellent cours et Thomas est un excellent professeur! En anglais maintenant! Since coming to Quebec I attempted 2 french classes prior to Thomas' programme. I did not get the progress expected. One can challenge this my stating I may not have made the effort before, and this may be true, but with Thomas' approach and genuine relationship with the class, he pulls you out of your comfort zone and challenges you, every session! He allows you to make mistakes, yet guides you in a practical way....and prepare to laugh!!!Merci Beaucoup, Thomas! Looking forward to having that drink ....or two...and your next programme!

Patrick Lawton: Thomas is an excellent teacher. He is patient, relatable and dedicated to his students. He made an introduction to French memorable and exciting. - Thank you!

Priscilla Cabral: Thomas is an amazing prof!! The classes are fun, engaging and the course material is great! I recommend this course to everyone who wishes to learn french and acquire conversational skills!

Jeremy Franczyk: If you want to learn French and have a blast at the same time, you need to take a class with Thomas at The French School! Thomas teaches French with enthusiasm and passion. He truly makes the lessons fun and enjoyable! Taking Thomas' course strengthened my French language skills and now I am continuing to learn more French based on the awesome base he provided. Without Thomas and his course, I would be much less confident with speaking, writing and reading French than I am now. I highly recommend him and his courses. Merci beaucoup Thomas for everything!

Karen Bishop: Just fabulous. Took the thrice weekly zoom classes with 8 other students and our teacher, Thomas Faudon, was just so very excellent. There are aways one or two students who are reticent to express themselves; Thomas got them involved and encouraged them to see themselves as French speakers. If there were a second level class, I would immediately sign up for it.

Neilson Koerner-Safrata: Caring professor and great class, highly recommend.

Sarah Roche: I highly recommend Thomas’ French courses if you are looking for a fun and effective way of learning French. Even via zoom, he made the experience very personal, exciting, and fun. It was the perfect combination of lessons and conversations, keeping me fully engaged during each class. It was a safe space to learn, ask questions, and practice pronunciation, while never being made to feel silly or embarrassed. He was able to manage the different levels of comprehension, and never made anyone feel less than or embarrassed. Plus, il est très, très drôle. Highly recommend The French School with Thomas to expand your knowledge in the language of love 😉.

Susan Stevenson: It was a wonderful experience starting my French advetures and learning not only the words but the small differences in expressing words with a French passion! Thank you, ou Merci!

Ahmed Al-Refai: Thomas is a great teacher, I’ve had French classes in a variety of different schools after his course and nothing was as fun or educational as what he provided to us. He has an ability to make his students want to come back and learn more. I would recommend him to anyone interested in taking an intro to French course, his lessons are truly something else.

Rithy Mang: I have a great time learning with Thomas. Before begin his class, I thought learning new language online would be very boring and dead; but with Thomas class it is fun, engaging, and make us want to keep practicing outside class hour. Highly recommend! Merci Thomas!

Binu Thomas: cause you deserve it. I still use your lessons and video guide till date.

Eddie Diaz: The French School and Thomas have been amazing. The absolute best and most comprehensive AND fun program to learn, practice and master French. Thomas abilities to teach, coach, and entertain students are an asset. Each lesson for me has been transformational. My retention and comprehension has gotten better with his classes. Thank you Thomas and The French School Montreal. Merci!

Sitara Nair: .The material provided is extremely useful and a keeper. No matter you are a slow or fast learner Thomas will guide you all the way through with the most gentle approach . I looked forward to attending every class and really wish I could keep continuing my journey to learn French at Thomas's. He is a wonderful teacher .If you are someone who is an absolute beginner looking to learn French, this is a great place to start.

Karey Logghe: I highly recommend this class with Thomas! He is knowledgeable, understanding, and keeps you engaged in the class. His teaching style and homework assignments really helped me to learn the material well. I have taken other French classes in the past and this class was by far the best. I really looked forward to these classes. Thanks again Thomas!

Nikki Agro: I cannot thank Thomas enough for this wonderful French learning experience. He does a great job breaking down the vocabulary, grammar structures, conjugations, and pronunciation. This allowed me to have a better understanding of the language in order to put together and speak more clearly and confidently, rather than just “read and repeat” phrases. As someone who is hard of hearing, I would emphasize how accommodating and accepting the class environment was. Even while our classes were online due to COVID, Thomas was very accommodating and provided verbal and visual means so that it was easy to keep up and follow along in the class. No matter what stage in your learning you’re at, Thomas does a great job at lifting people up with light humour and encouragement. There’s no escaping the hard work if you want to learn French , but Thomas sure helped make the process lot more fun and engaging!!!

Natsuko Nakamura: I think I was the oldest student he ever had. He treated me with respect with jokes here and there during the class. The class was very interactive and the homework assignments enforced what I learned that day. Thomas being a native French, he even taught us the difference between French and Canadian French, which was very helpful for me for many practical reasons. I wish there would be another level of his course I can attend.

Montreal International Inst: what do users think?

Sofia: a wonderful experience, thank you for teaching me ⚡️⚡️⚡️💕💕

Laura Hoyos: speaker. School is always clean and the class is practical and guided, with a fresh teaching perspective far away from only filling a book. You can find a cafeteria that sells some products, some fridges were you can store your meals, coffee machines, microwaves and so on. I go to 6pm classes as I work on a full time job and have not many options. I can say I enjoy and wait anxiously to go to class and learn. Thank you so very much!

Manuela Loaiza Jaramillo: I really like the school environment and the joy of the students and teachers. I love that we have free coffee at all hours and they even bring it to the classroom. There are incredible teachers from all over the world which is very interesting because I can learn from other cultures.

Jonatan David Alvarez: Outstanding, best language teaching methodology, totally conversational, excellent service, comfortable facilities and above all the coffee. What I was always looking for. 😎

Cali guillen: very happy to be part of MILLA, the school is very friendly and it’s teaching methodology is amazing!

Mauricio Ahumada Cortes: Unique experience, very good teachers and 100% recommended environment. Great people and professionals

TORRES CHAVEZ MARIA FERNANDA: I love Miila, it is a welcoming place, where you not only learn a language but also meet new people and learn about each of the different cultures, you learn to develop in a more social environment, without a doubt an excellent school to have a great experience 🏻

Andrea Me: I like the atmosphere at Miila, there is a team spirit and mutual support. I suggest you stop by so you can live the experience.

Uwikunze Olga: I like Miila cause in our days is giving more knowledges in French

Vianney Padrino: Restaurant François with a good reputationLocated in Mont Royal, this restaurant managed to seduce me.Foie gras is really good. A nice portion with briocheI had the braised beef cheek which literally melted in the mouth. For dessert I was already full but I tried my hand at the Pain Perdu and it was a very, very good choice. After the 3 services I couldn't swallow anything anymore. The size of the French toast is hugeI will definitely go back

Sony L: . Yeah, I know it's a restaurant's job to be at the top, no matter what, but there are plenty of restaurants that don't succeed. Anyways, you didn't steal your reputation as one of the top restaurants in Montreal. It’s well deserved

Le Tire-Bouchon: what do users think?

Sophie McGreevy: Ok atmosphere, good service, but could have been a little more professional in its approach. A little too "Chummy" and more at the front. The tartare duo was very good, particularly the beef one. The little beetroot and goat's cheese salad had very little beetroot and goat's cheese, in small cubes, lost in the lettuce, but with the little vinaigrette it gave a nice little taste. Not to say, we can't wait to go back. The mussels were very good and the portion was generous.Parking: Not many places, as there are several restaurants sharing the same parking lot

Khalil Awad: Good bistro, good atmosphere, good food

Lanto 78: Great service. Very beautiful place where it breathes. But above all very good French cuisine with excellent work on the sauces.Special mentions for the snail puff pastry and the chocolate fondant.Well done.

Nathalie Fregeot: Beer menu too minimalist, beer poorly served.Yannick learned his lesson. The service and food were impeccable. A good address.

Betty Jean-Baptiste: The cassoulet is excellent. I recommend it to everyone. The service is efficient and courteous, the price is very good.thanks to the whole team

Keven Gagnon: Le Tire-Bouchon: An Unmissable Parisian Bistro:Homemade Cuisine: The dishes are prepared with care, from lamb Jared to confit duck leg accompanied by homemade fries. Special mention for their Royal couscous.Warm Atmosphere The welcome is friendly, the service efficient and professional. It feels like home.In short, Le Tire-Bouchon is a must for lovers of authentic French cuisine. I highly recommend it ! 🍽️🍷Thanks to Nicolas and Fred!

Daniel Halliday: Fantastic brunch good with a bustling atmosphere.I can thoroughly recommend the chicken & waffles in particular!Pricing is not cheap, not expensive, the staff are really friendly and helpfulKid-friendliness: High chair for little ones, kids menu and really accommodating

Alissa Aing: Succulent lunch as well as their fried chicken!Food: 5/5 …

Flora LB: . Both were ok, although the waffles were a bit tough & chewy and there were hardly any bacon inside. The breakfast poutine could've used more sauce, I guess that's why I was offered ketchup, mayo or hot sauce. The potatoes were good though. Our waiter only came back to check on us at the end. It's a busy place, with some unique items on the menu.

Karine Mirambeau: First time there and will definitely go back and try different things on the menu, everything looked so good. Place was packed, it was a sunday brunch so we expected a lineup outside but it wasn’t too long of a wait outside. The servers were attentive, fast and efficient. I would recommend this place to anyone and families.I also loved the decor too, it felt nice and cozy type of ambiance!

Yannick Turenne: Friendly and delicious restaurant!! It will definitely become a must-have!Thanks Sarah!Yannick!

Einar Tysén Wester: Loved everything we had, from muffins to loafs. Very nice bread demo counter that helps you choose what fits your current fancyRecommended dishes Focaccia Sea Salt, Baguettes …

Quynh Nguyen: Delicate pastries but a little too greasy for my taste. My butter croissant is very airy and the crust is very crispy and thin, however I would prefer it a little less greasy. Its flavor is very unique, feels like there is just a hint of spice or something but not overwhelming at all. Pain Suisse is a little too chocolaty 😭 Overall just not my style, but I do appreciate the level of craftsmanship that the chef has put into making his baked goods.

remi c: One of my favorite bakeries in Montreal. The croissants are excellent there too.

Анастасия Кулик: Your center left an extremely positive impression on me. The level of service is excellent, and the interior design is simply magnificent. Professional help from the staff makes the review process much less stressful. Even on my first visit, the feeling of nervousness was replaced by a relaxed atmosphere, and people are always ready to support and joke. The presence of a coffee machine allows you to take a short break between tests and enjoy a cup of coffee, which helps to concentrate and recharge your batteries. In summary, I was extremely satisfied with the entire process of taking the exam, and now I can only look forward to the results.

Erfan Abdollahian: I had a TEFAQ on December 8, the staff was friendly. The quality was perfect, there was nothing to complain about

Yana Ismail: Thank you Point 3. I did my EO and CO preparation courses and they were really helpful. I did them for two weeks and on the week after i did the exam at the same center Point 3 the professors are extremely nice friendly and knowledgeable. I took my level needed for my permanent residence application which is B2. Highly recommended to take the courses with Mrs. Arezou and Me. Nicolas.

Hamid Kiani: I believe that Point 3 is one of the best centers to offer educational services and determine the level of French language.Attend their workshops and participate in training courses and benefit from the knowledge and abilities of Point 3 teachersincreased my communication skills and helped me a lot in learning French.Thank you very much to point3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️I also wish good luck to all new learners as well as all participants of French language exams in Quebec TEF/TEFaQ and TCF, especially those who have chosen the beautiful province of Quebec as their home.

Azhar Goollam Kader: Excellent center to take the tef exam

NJN -: I think this center is fantastic. Thanks guys 👍

Saber Maaroufi: Very professional team, excellent support. I am very satisfied.

Shady Merhi: The french courses they offer are excellent when it comes to private tutoring. Since I am an advanced french speaker, I did not find the group tutoring to be that useful as they had students with different levels of fluency. With that, my private tutoring classes helped me get ready for my TEFaQ exam

Martinez Cordova: Wonderful school, wonderful teachers, wonderful and professional service. I took the TEFAQ courses and I accomplished C1 level in the exams. I am deeply grateful to Vincent and Arezou my teachers and Antonio Galindo who guided me every step of the way. Highly recommend this excellent centre!!!!

Félix Tremblay: The vegetarian lasagna is delicious, the sauce, the pasta, the cheese… Yum!Very good value for money, we were able to make 4 portions with our lasagna to take away! The owner extremely kind and helpful. The lettering on the front is charming.A perfect option for home-style food when time slips through our fingers!

Louise Bleau: With meat, rosé sauce or vegetarian, these are definitely the best lasagnas in town.

Victor Gandon: Tried their regular and vegetarian lasagna. Both were delicious. Portions and quality seem really fair for the price. Service was fast and nice. I'd happily shop again.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian lasagna available

Francis Guay: Excellent veggie lasagna at a very good price. I recommend!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian lasagna available

Florence Hawthorn: Delicious, quick and affordable!

Co: Exceptional lasagna!! A real homemade tomato sauce, very soft and not dry at all.Possibility to eat on site or take away. I recommend 100% without any problem.

David Astrof: This is the best place in Montreal to have lasagna! You can certainly dine in but I think most of the business is a takeout business. I stop in once or twice a week to get my lasagna fix. I'd go more often but this restaurant is only open Wednesday Saturday. The owner has his own recipes and handles everything himself. I'm wildly pleased with each type of lasagna he makes. Definitely recommend him to anyone who loves lasagna the way that I do.

John Gosselin: Clean place.Service with a smile.Homemade tomato sauce.Excellent Lasagna.To visit.

The service was super efficient despite the lack of manpower. What a joy to see staff who know what they are doing! Average age around twenty years old with great maturity, worthy of more experienced staff, and all in silence. In fact, it’s one of the rare places where you can hear yourself talking in Montreal. Paltoquet (Le): what do users think?

Anju Patwardhan: Best pastries and croissants!Paltoquet a small place in the suburbs of Quebec that came highly recommended from a local and was worth the visit. Loved the flaky goat cheese and tomato puff. Coffee was great. Luckily we got in 10 minutes before the place got full. It was a wet rainy morning and warm croissants and coffee tasted heavenly.

Paul Desmon: Excellent quality of service, the waiters and waitresses are adorable and have their hearts on their sleeves, always ready to do anything for you, especially the waitress with a Spanish accent who is a real gem, very passionateFrom a food point of view, Paltoquet is a stopover in Paris in the heart of Montreal, although a Palto-poutine would be welcome, just to diversify the delicious menu. The soups are delicious, a delicate seasoning with Tunisian, Brazilian and Russian notes.I recommend

Gabriel Araujo Costa: .But hey, the pistachio tart could have been fresher, compared to last time, you know what I mean...The atmosphere remains chill but they could think of installing curtains to avoid the blazing sun in the afternoon. On the other hand, the hot chocolate, always at the top, and the impeccable service, as usual.I highly recommend it, my French friends loved it too.

Pizzeria Magpie Mile End: what do users think?

Jade Knepper: Very good pizza 🍕, as for the tiramisu I didn't find it to my taste but as they say, everyone has their own taste. The atmosphere is really nice and so are the staff. On the other hand, at the organizational level, it is not at the top. We had reserved a table and had to wait 30 minutes to be seated at our table because there were people. If you are a small group, do not rely on the reservation time, especially at the end of the evening. We had an error on our 7:30 p.m. reservation so it was moved to 9 p.m.Aside from these small errors which are part of the vagaries of life, we had a good evening.

Lucille Ouellette: Excellent and unusual choices. It's good to have something other than traditional pizza. Nice place and very friendly staff.

Bernard: Disappointment of not being able to get in warm at 5:15 p.m. although I know the start of service is at 5:30 p.m. We were two people over 70 years old and there was also a couple with a child under two years old waiting in the cold outside. We would have appreciated being able to just take a seat at our reserved table and wait for service to begin at 5:30 p.m. It really seems like a civil servant to open at 5:30 p.m. sharp and not really concerned about customer service! However, the new vegetarian pizza with, among other things, brie, aioli and sweet potatoes quickly made me smile again.

Ryan S: Probably the best pizza I have had since 2020Food: 5/5 …

Boulangerie Le Marquis: what do users think?

Roch Lavoie: are certainly the best. The dough is actually laminated, the way you’d expect a croissant to be. So many gluten free bakeries have let me down on that front but this is not one of them! You can buy them fresh or frozen. They store well in the freezer for up to a few months and are easy to reheat. Pictures attached are the pain chocolats reheated in the oven with an egg wash.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free. Best spot in Montreal to get gluten free pastries, everything here is gluten free.

Chris: +1 also has vegan options

Koby Diamond: Best Gluten Free Croissant in the CITY.

Andrew Sisk: A fine selection of gluten free breads, pastries and desserts. The quinoa bread we took home is superior to most gluten free breads we’ve tried. The pastries here give gluten free folks the opportunity to have the montreal “Chocolatine” experience.Dietary restrictions: Everything in their large selection meets the needs of the gluten free diet.

Corinne Yes: A dream come true. When I visit Montreal, I come here. Only 2 little stools to sit though.Dietary restrictions: The best gluten free and dairy free croissants in the country, I believe.

Soleien Gomez-Monastesse: Really good bakery and gluten free ✨

Dhifallah Rami: Recommended dishes Des Pâtisseries Sans Gluten
