Genevieve Taylor: This school is simply fantastic. The teachers are welcoming, smiling and enthusiastic. Their passion for teaching instills in children a love of learning. The groups are small, which is really safe and great for learning. There is a great bond between parents and the school team and we feel listened to, respected and supported as parents. Bonus: the children learn three languages and leave school trilingual! I have nothing but good things to say about this school and I am proud to be able to send my son there.
Mlc: . I've gotten to know people who send their children to this school despite having no German connection and I see them thrive and excel. They also have small class sizes which meant the teachers have more focus on each child. Not to mention, the school facilities are the best I've seen in Montreal!

Seohoo: I went here from grade 2 to grade 6. It is a wonderful school. When I first went there I could barely speak English but in a couple years I could speak English fluently largely due to the wonderful teachers and small classes that allow every student to get the help they need. I would recommend.
Helmut E. H.: Our son Nico went to Kells Academy for 7 years. It was the best choice ever for our son’s education. Smaller classes and the multi cultural environment made him feel very welcome; the tailored, individual support made him thrive . Despite not speaking English when our family arrived in Montreal from Europe, the patient teachers and staff helped him to get up to speed and within months English became his first language. His love for language, writing short stories and acting persists until today and that is thanks to the excellent education from Kells Academy.

Caroline Thomassin: years. I wish they had started their elementary schooling at that school. The small class sizes and tailored learning approach really made a difference to my children. Kells provides each student with his/her own learning experience and the child is able to learn as quickly or as slowly as is best for that child. The teachers and the Principal were always available and happy to discuss my children’s progress any time I felt the need. Both my kids loved Kells and were sad on the week-end and over the Summer because they could not go to school. Kells has not only taught them academic subjects but also life lessons and how to become good citizens of the world. Their Spring Concert is not to be missed and is such a positive experience for the students.I cannot recommend this school enough.

normand cote: I can only say good words about Kells and the staff from the secretary, teachers to the director. This school was a confidence booster for our daughter. Where rejection and problems were always an issue with the other school at Kells they were always finding ways and strategies to make the life easier for our daughter. Even now after all these years our daughter at Concordia University still visit Kells to say hi and for a chat with Mrs Perlman.

H Habash: What started off as a last minute resort turned out to be the best decision made!To give some context, I had signed up my son to an all French private school for his kindergarten year. Two months down the line, his teacher indicated that he might be suffering some worrying learning challenges! Knowing how bright this kid is I went to seek a specialist’s opinion, who in turn assured us that these difficulties are merely a result of facing a new language that he’d never used at home, and probably a lack of experience on the side of the teacher. I decided to move him out abruptly, and the only placement I found considering the time was at Kells. Within 3 months of joining kells he‘d learnt all the alphabet and begun reading. In one year he’s turned a bookworm and an a achieving kid who takes a great interest in learning. The small number of kids in classes and the focused and personalized approach to each kid’s learning needs is a big plus at Kells. I would like to thank Ms. Brady, a dedicated teacher who doesn’t view teaching as a job but rather a life quest. The principal, Ms. Perlman, with her hands on and detail-oriented approach. Ms. Miceli who’s a delight to watch around kids and Elizabeth in admin who goes out of her way in looking after the kids. Thank you all for doing such a remarkable job!

Terrance Mockler: Attended late 60's and early 70's. It looks like it has modernized quite a bit since then. Such as being co-ed. When I was there some senior teachers still wore robes on occasion. They used corporal punishment too. Certainly better than the public school alternatives back then. You get what you pay for. I have a master's degree from Harvard University and am close to retiring from a teaching career in South Florida..

Maye Ostowani: Marla Pearlman is a wonderful Principle at the Elementary School. She is always super encouraging and highly supportive of her students. Neil Banerjee is an outstanding Principle. He is involved in every aspect of the High School, knows his students inside out and manages to find the right balance between being tough and no-nonsense, and caring and supportive at the same time. His time and dedication are truly exemplary, and I have personally appreciated all the time he has given me whenever I have asked to meet with him. I also admire the fact that Kells Academy, under the guidance of Director and Founder Irene Woods, continues to actively seek new pathways to grow, flourish and excel. I couldn’t recommend Kells Academy enough to parents who are searching for high quality education in a small, warm, unique and highly supportive environment for their children!

Our nephew attends the high school and we have been consistently impressed with the principal, the faculty and the culture. The teachers are amazing with the students. Their focus on each student so as to ensure his or her success, how they deal with any challenges a student may have, and their overall compassion and kindness, makes Kells one incredible school. As for the principal, Mr. Banerjee has his finger on the pulse of the school and the students. It is most impressive to see how he knows what makes his students tick and his genuine encouragement of each of them. Probably most telling is the respect the students have for Mr. Banerjee and their teachers. If you are at the school, you can feel the extremely positive vibe. The curriculum is excellent and we encourage any parent who is seeking a positive, warm, success-oriented and strong curriculum to consider Kells. The same can be said of their sports teams and clubs. They are conducted in the best of ways. In short, we will always be incredibly grateful to Ms. Woods for her wonderful school.

The school promised to refund the tuition and most of the fees if this happened and we received the refund as promised. Jean-claude D.: For the moment I could certainly say according to my own observation of this College, it is a place with a limited reputation that I would even say limited that we do not hear much about their pedagogy and their teaching methodology and that is not very popular. (It is a College with a very specific particular mentality specific to itself which I consider as in the old days, that for me is the transparency of this Establishment, on the other hand it is a large and beautiful College which is very spacious, very clean and very well preserved with super beautiful grounds.

Kamran A: MB building is really modern with study rooms and a really live one
Farhan P.: JMSB is my University faculty. Always loved the design of the building and compared to the rest of Concordia facilities, this is much cleaner and significantly more modern. Lots of space, and the classrooms are actually well designed. There’s also a lot of nice spots from which you can get a good view of Montréal downtown.

Tatiana Kalashnikova: It's been almost two years since I did my CELTA at ILSC Montreal English Language School. I am a private tutor and use my skills every day I teach online. I teach both mini-groups and indivuduals. I've become very comfortable with breakout-rooms, using only digital teaching materials, and managing my classroom.I had a great experience doing CELTA, and I am a bit nostalgic as I don't have colleagues to talk about teaching ESL as I would if I worked in a regular school. I would gladly participate in more workshops and "reunions" as well as go for another traning session.

Youyue Chen: Great language school. Really like teachers over here. Thav is a great teacher, actually the best ever. In fact, it is a great place to study.
Laavy Adam: Really good pacing and hours. Holistic in that there is sufficient focus on phonetics which are often neglected in other language courses. There's an exam each Friday which forces you to be prepared. Overall great program.
