A lot of things that are mid century modern, but on the more modern chrome-and-glass side of things vs. super kitschy.The owner was away when I came, but she left a note on the door. I thought, “eh, why not,” so I texted her, and she was just 10 minutes away. So if you happen upon a similar sign, it’s worth checking.The store itself is pretty packed with fun things, so be aware you might have problems getting around if you come with a lot of grocery bags or something. I will say that after she returned and opened up the door, like 3 other groups of customers suddenly showed up to browse.She had no problem with me taking a photo or two of things I liked, which I appreciated. I would have liked to have asked more questions about some items, but I figured I’d be back soon anyway and left to make room for others. No stars deducted because small businesses gotta be in small spaces these days yet need to have lots for sale, so what are you gonna do? I’m just glad there were other customers because it’s a good vintage joint, and I’d like for them to stick around!

Jon Grieb: . I also realized their prices were actually quite good for a coat of this nature.Then there’s the customer experience. You can’t buy these online. Every piece is unique. It’s authentically crafted in Montreal by true family owner/operators. Perhaps some ppl assume touristy Old Port is going to be a bit inauthentic but I assure you everything about this place is as genuine as they come.And most genuine of all are the couple that owns the place. Without a hint of sales pressure, they both took the time to help me try on a few items, advise on best fits, point out key details, answer questions, and provide tips for care. And when ready to buy, they matched me up with some free gloves and even remembered my wife from earlier and gave me a stocking stuffer for her as well. They are true salt of the earth type ppl with a dedication to their craft and customers. Three days now back home, I’m still noticing new details that reflect the uniqueness and quality of this coat. It might be in my will, it’s that good!Anyway… Go for fun, go to shop, go to buy; but whatever your intent in Montreal is, go check out this store. You’ll be so happy you did.

Bill & Susan: While celebrating our anniversary in Montreals Old town we popped in to a number of shops looking at the many unique offerings in a historic setting.You don’t find many high quality furrier’s anymore but the moment we walked in we knew this would be a special experience. The owner Ivan greeted us warmly and professionally and it was clear he was a master of his trade.There were many many special coats, hats and accessories to choose from. Many marked down yet of high quality.My wife purchased a hat that was both practical, elegant and a special souvenir all at the same time. The time we spent here was a high point of our Montreal visit.Well worth a visit if you are staying in or near the old town.

Kurt Willett: Based on the Google reviews, this was our first and only stop for fur in Montreal and will certainly be our go-to place on future visits. We purchased a GORGEOUS leather three-quarter coat with a Spanish shearling lining for less than half the cost it would have been at home in NYC. Elizabeth and Ivan could not have been more gracious and accommodating and we spent a pleasant hour or so chatting with them as different coats were tried on. It was definitely a no pressure sale as they recommended a variety of garments at different prices. We can't recommend this store highly enough and are sure to be back again and again.
