Yuukai sushi: what do users think?

MC B: Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Sunnie Ma: Do you know Yuukai in japense means Kidnap? It in deed kidnapped my stomachache while we are there and my mind now while I m writing the review. We have ordered all the popular stuff! The most amazed dish is:Mont fuji! Cipse at the bottom, soft at the top which provides the combination for the different texture. All the sushi roles we orders are good, sunshine, special K and Thon deluxe. When we dined in they also have Uni. Hmm yumyum! So freshHowever I find the sushi pizza is a bit dry.Service is good and atmosphere is goodBest part is: BYOBAnd price is not toooooo expensive! Very affordable.Friends ordered to go right away to share with her familyWill definitely go back again and partyyyy

Kezia Sky Lonergan: Will definitely go again, food was great and the atmosphere was perfect, and the staff was extremely kind and gave us great service!

Simon Pks: Our hostess Mina was extremely welcoming and warm. She guided us through our evening with delicacy. The food was exquisite and fresh and I would especially recommend the chicken karage. The manager Will and our server Eric were excellent and met our expectations. P.s. : ask Tony for a bomb sake, he will give you the best performance, as will Jess

Sara F: I love the concept for a slow lunch or dinner. The premium meat options are worth the try as they have good quality that are well marbled.

Sonya Gill: Had a great experience here. We were able to get a same day reservation which was lovely. The experience itself was wonderful I’ve never seen anything like it. The staff were very helpful with explaining the menu and they didn’t charge us for the s’mores which was so kind of them. We will be coming back for sure! If you’re in the city and you’re looking for a great restaurant for dinner, trust me this is the place!

Restaurant Sho-dan: what do users think?

Ed Chunski: The sushi and sashimi are very good. Tempura and black cod are okay but not remarkable. Overall, the food is good, and price is not bad. The sushi and sashimi platters are excellent. Service is prompt. The restaurant seems very clean, and it's nice that they have a pianist playing soft music in the background. Very busy place, so I would recommend making a reservation.

Shiraori Rimuru: First, the food, delicious beyond control, they have perfected their menu, and their food presentation is 👌, for the service we had the nicest man I've ever seen he helped me learn how to use chopsticks and now I'm a professional, he was super professional and every time I took a sip of water another kind guy waiter would rush over and give me an instant refill, the atmosphere was perfect the layout of the building, the washrooms, the front desk, the tables and chairs, the candles they give you while you eat, the flowers on the tables, almost everything about it is perfected to the point where I don't understand how this is only a 4.5 star resturant. It was so good that I don't know where they could improve.Kid-friendliness: I saw plenty of families with their children having a blast at this restaurant, so as long as you're well mannered, I don't see why you can't.

Paige B: , but I have to say that the lawyer is my favourite, a very unique roll. This is not your traditional Japanese sushi dining experience

myra peralta: That piano music while dinning was very soothing. I love the atmosphere because you can still have conversations despite music. Fantastic service and great foods!Kid-friendliness: There was a baby in the other table and the whole time we were there the baby never cried, that’s how relaxing the restaurant was.

M. S.: Once inside Sho-Dan, I found myself underwhelmed by the overall atmosphere. The décor lacks character, with plain white tablecloths and a lack of any distinctive features. Instead of exuding a sushi restaurant ambiance, it feels more like an upscale Italian establishment catering to an older demographic. Unfortunately, my initial impression fell short of excitement. However, my disappointment took a turn when we decided to sample a variety of items from the menu. The sushi exceeded expectations, boasting a delightful freshness and appealing presentation. Accompanied by flavorful sauces, the culinary experience was elevated. The house drinks were also noteworthy, adding a positive note to our dining experience. While the staff exhibited kindness, there was a slight lack of enthusiasm, though the service remained decent. In conclusion, it's a venue worth considering if you're seeking exceptionally good sushi. The culinary delights outweigh the lackluster ambiance, making it a destination for sushi enthusiasts.

Restaurant Makoto: what do users think?

Alexandro Ruelas: From the moment we stepped into Restaurant Makoto, we were greeted by the warm ambiance that promised a memorable dining experience. The starters set the stage for the culinary delights that followed. The Pajeon was a crispy, savory pancake that was a perfect blend of flavors and textures, while the Takoyaki was a delightful treat, with its tender octopus filling encased in a light and fluffy batter. The main course was a generous display of the restaurant's commitment to both quality and quantity. The Chicken Katsu was a standout, with its perfectly crispy exterior and succulent interior, accompanied by a hearty portion of steamed rice, fresh vegetables, and two delectable gyozas. But the star of the evening was undoubtedly the Chicken Okonomiyaki. This Japanese savory pancake was not only huge in size but also in flavor. Each bite was a mix of tender chicken and a rich, complex array of seasonings that made it extremely flavorful. In conclusion, Restaurant Makoto in Montreal is a gem that offers an authentic taste of Japanese cuisine. The dishes we tried were not only delicious but also presented with care, making our dining experience truly exceptional. We left with our appetites fully satisfied and our taste buds tantalized, eagerly anticipating our next visit.

Maya Maya: Varied and balanced Korean and Japanese cuisine. The dishes are well presented, the food is delicious and the price very affordable. We tried the Kimmari, tofu agedashi and takoyaki and had a great time.We were offered tea and miso soup, both delicious. In addition, the staff is friendly, welcoming and very friendly.

Sophie Zhang: ordered Uber- Chicken Okonomiyaki will be more better if dine in. Karaage meat bit lean and tough :)also order bulgogi kimbab it was ok and takoyaki as wellVegetarian options: they have veggie dishes option

Antoine Perreault: Very good and the staff are welcoming.

Arman Izadi: WELL WORTH THE WAITTiny restaurant, huge lines, and for a good reason. The food quality is astounding. Never have I had food this good this fast for this cheap.Main courses under $18 abundant, appetizers under $10, service is crazy fast like a good busy restaurant should be.Get the curry get the bibimbap

Emilie Stewart: .Vegetarian options: Tofu. Get the tofu & salads. Fried Green beans are also delicious and pretty unique!

Maya Jacquier: Absolutely amazing. Automatically became a favorite due to the fast service, wonderful staff and mouth watering food. Delicious food, always fresh and at a wonderful price. I the lines can be long but they can be avoided if you come aliens 5:30, then you might wait only about 20 minutes. One of the best spots in the city, and a must try for anyone passing through Montréal

Sara F: Delicious ramen! Their fried chicken was also great

Billy Leung-Jok: A great izakaya with excellent price points. I've come to this place when it was first opened and I am glad to see this place has not only kept up with the quality expanded their operation as well. Between the 2 of us, we ordered 3 entrées, 1 yakitori and shared a dessert and the check came to $67 before tips. Excellent food and value. One girl was rather abrupt with her attitude but everyone else was nice and friendly.

Wei-Min Hum: . The dishes are to be shared. Very varied choice of fish and meat. A personal taste, I find that there is sometimes too much sauce in the dishes.Very small restaurant, but that's what gives the atmosphere to the restaurant. Not suitable for groups, 4 people max otherwise it is very difficult to find a place. You have to go early at 5:00 PM, otherwise there is a line-up and wait. The service is excellent and very fast. An absolutely must-try restaurant in Montreal!

Marlène M: It's impossible to go back to eating sushi anywhere other than this restaurant once you've tasted the originality and flavors on offer.Dietary restrictions: Gluten allergy

Mauricio Mendoza: I love all their dishes, they are delicious and in my opinion, not at all expensive! Super recommended!

Ghost MTL: One of the best sushi’s in Montreal, low key but delicious.

Nathalie Rochefort: Pure joy, absolutely delicious and the service is impeccableTip: don't hesitate to ask for the chef's suggestion and dare to discover new flavors, you won't be disappointed!

Rock Lee's motivation: The sushis of this restaurant are so fresh, it’s out of this world. The rice is very tasty so each sushi piece was already starting great. The sushis DO NOT break, *chef’s kiss*. So far, this is the best sushi place I’ve been in Montréal. I recommend it 10/10.

henry_b12: . Perhaps they could make it easier to spot for people walking down the street. It’s very hidden and easy to miss, but once you get upstairs the restaurant is super charming. Great people and service too.We had a big sushi plate and salmon, which were both fab. Just delicious. It also has a terrace from the 2nd floor with a view on Cote-des-Neiges that I can’t wait to try when the weather gets warmer.Ahhh I loved this spot!!!

Amel Benabdellah: Incredibly good sushi and the experience was wow it's worth the detour from Saint Jérôme in Montreal to eat the sushi at this place see you soon 😊Service: 5/5 …

Viriane Pes: - for lunch

Juliette Larosa: , followed by 3 pieces of grilled scallops with crab, that had such a nice crisp to them. The soup was served with 4 makis and it was delicious. Then, the 10 nigiri were delicious : we had salmon, yellow tail tuna, shrimp, wagyu beef, eel... And finally, for the dessert, we chose a yuzu cheesecake that was very good, even if the slice was thin.Worth noting that the restaurant closes at 9, and the omakase takes quite some time : we got there at 7, and finished eating at 9:15, rushing a little through the end.To sum up, it is quite expensive, but I've never been so happy to spend this amount of money on a restaurant, it is very worth it.

Andy L: , Bluefin tuna

Boravan Ung: I discovered this sushi place by recommendation. It was worth the try. We ordered the Nigiri Omakaze, and the chef prepared us freshly prepared Nigiri and some personalized ones not from the menu. They were some of the best that I've tasted in Montreal. We really enjoyed this experience, and we'll definitely come back!

Kurobuta Izakaya & Ramen Ya Restaurant: what do users think?

Jules ZT: My favorite restaurant in Plateau Mont Royal!🍜The dishes are very delicious, complete and refined, their presentation is always careful. The drinks menu is generous and in its theme, you will even find Japanese non-alcoholic ones.🍥 the restaurant has a Japanese-themed decoration but modern, chic and on top of that the restaurant is well located.🍨 The service is always friendly and dynamic.Honestly this restaurant is incredible! Go there with your eyes closed ✨Vegetarian options: Varied cards

Seneca Smith: Everyone working there was very nice and welcoming, all the food was great and the avocado salad is a must have!Vegetarian options: vegetarian ramen option was flavorful and had a delicious veggie broth! Good idea to add vegetables to ramen as well if you’re interested in more of a variety.

S C: The food was excellent! In addition, the prices are very affordable. We were a group of 10, the employees were very nice but they didn't come to see us often. For the atmosphere, it was okay but there is better. No music in the room. The decor is good and the place is warm. We will definitely return. It's one of the best ramen I've eaten.

Restaurant Nozy: what do users think?

Michael: Price was 150$ per person for the omakase and you can drink as much as you want to try different sake with the multitude of course. The restaurant is pretty small so be sure to book if you want to eat there. Good japanese food that impressed me. It also filled me up pretty well. Since the restaurant is pretty small, the food comes out at the same time for everybody.

Sandra Mc: I recently tried the Omakase experience, and while it introduced me to new flavors, overall, it was just okay—nothing particularly special. Despite tasting some unique dishes, the bill was surprisingly over $200, which felt excessive. While the food was good, it didn't quite justify the high price tag. The restaurant itself is quite small, accommodating only a few customers at a time, so it's not ideal for group outings but more suited for intimate dates. On the positive side, the chef was very friendly, and I appreciate supporting local restaurants.

Dominic Huysmans-Tardif: This is honestly one of, if not, my favourite restaurant in Montreal. I went a few times already and it never disappoints. Their Omakase experience was amazing and a really good value considering the sake degustation. I wouldn’t necessarily come just for the atmosphere or the service, but the food and quality of the seafood is the star here

Suki Dakara Suki: . There sakés options were very good. And there yuzu saké was to die for. The staff a super friendly. The ambiance was good and cozy. It was a small restaurant. I forgot to mention that they also offered omasake menu. This is one of the thing that I would come back for it.I highly recommended this authentic Japan restaurant.

Luna Bee: I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kazumi Sushi, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience! The food was not only delicious but also expertly prepared to cater to my specific preferences. The staff were attentive and understanding, taking the time to understand my likes and dislikes. It is in a ginger apple reduction and is unlike anything you have ever tasted. Then the sushi… like the Bob Marley …. And spicy tuna… just out of this world and filled with PURE LOVE! mimi Fcs: Update from 05/12/2024: prices have increased significantly: $28.99/adult for lunch and $16.99 for children up to 10 years old. $39.99 to $42.99 in the evening. All you can eat sushi on a Friday lunchtime with the family. Everything was very good. The service is good and fast. The prices are also good. $20.99/adult - $14.99 up to 12 years old and $8.99 up to 7 years old. We will return.

Jade L: We went there around 5 p.m., the best hours in my opinion, because the service was very fast and the food was fresh. The servers are very friendly and fast. The food; hot and tasty.Small quantities, but the all-you-can-eat formula allows you to “get value for your money”. Well located too, near a bus stop, a few minutes from the Sherbrooke metro. There is a terrace, interesting in summer.Cons: The music was very loud. Also the path to the bathroom is a little "gloomy" and less well maintained than elsewhere.Plus, for $43 per person, you won't be disappointed.Vegetarian options: There is a small vegetarian section with tofu options.

Cédric Cobban: All around good experience.Food was great for an all you can eat! Didn't give 5 stars just because I've had better sushi at à la carte fancier places. Also, 50$ is a bit pricey but maybe that's just because the Mexican peso sucks.I recommend the place 👍

Sukyung Cho: We ordered Kamikaze, plate of sushi and sashimi mix and an Ashley roll. I started with miso soup because that is a must for me. The soup was great, they had enough toppings inside. We received Ashley first, the presentation was great. So was the taste. I loved the texture and the flavour, but it was slightly too saucy to my taste. Then, we had the kamikaze roll. Very clean taste, wish it had a bit more of tempura flakes. The sushi and sashimi mix was superb. The salmon was very fresh, melting in my mouth. Other fish were just as tasty and fresh. The makis were great, the titanic roll had some nutty taste to it which I liked. The service was amazing, the waiters/waitresses were very nice and accommodating. They answered our questions and concerns. It was a very pleasant experience.

Steven Palanchuck: Toyo Japanese Steakhouse, Montreal: Good Taste, Room for ImprovementToyo Japanese Steakhouse in Montreal, known for its teppanyaki grill bar, offers a decent experience. While the food tastes good, the portions have noticeably reduced and come with a high price tag. The chefs put on an okay show, but seem to be under pressure catering to multiple tables, which impacts the entertainment aspect. Additionally, the service tends to be on the slower side. Overall, it's a satisfactory visit but with notable areas for improvement.
