Phil Sabbah: I received a friendly phone call from their head office, inquiring about the job and my experience. I had made the mistake of never voicing my displeasure with anyone aside from my project manager, so the office was never aware. Upon reading my review, they expressed their surprise and were adamant that they make things right, and asked if they coud come see the finished product. That phone interaction alone was enough to make me change my mind, but the site visit sealed the deal. The company president was one of two who came, and from the minute we shook hands it was clear that they take a lot of pride in their work and won't allow a job to considered complete unless all parties are fully satisfied. We took a tour, and collectively agreed that my concerns were valid. They were very apologetic, and have scheduled a team to come rectify the issues. Turns out my project manager is no longer with them, so I guess I'm partially to blame since I never thought about calling the main office directly. Coming back full circle, the reason I initially chose to go with Northstone was due to the attention I was given and accessibility of their team. It just felt like they cared, while others didn't. Although I started to feel like I misread them as the project progressed, I didn't. The team is following through exactly as promised - and more. When the president takes a trip to address your concerns, you know you're dealing with a company that cares, both about their clients and their reputation. I highly recommend them.Original:Not sure if it’s industry or company specific, but our experience was over-promise/under-deliver. On a macro scale, everything is done as per the plans.The issue lies more in the details/finishing, and the end result of some areas being opposite of what was promised. The issues were raised along the way, and the answer was always that they would be fixed before the finished product is delivered. Once they were ready to deliver, and the issues questioned, the answers completely changed to “that’s not possible”.

Ethan Zames: Services Prime did a terrific hardscaping job at my place, under unusual circumstances. A prior contractor had done most of a driveway job incorrectly, requiring it to be redone completely, per an inspector, a civil engineer and an architect with whom I had consulted. It was late enough in the 2023 season when I found this out, and most contractors did not want to begin the project before 2024, which would have left me with nowhere to park, and no access to my front entrance. At first Services Prime were also reluctant, having a full slate, but Paul, the owner/manager, and a very decent guy, seeing my situation, agreed. Although Services Prime are on the slicker end of the spectrum for this kind of work, they charged me less for materials and labor than the prior contractor had for just his incomplete labor, and Services Prime do beautiful work. A plumber whom I really trust happened to come by when the hardscaping project was almost complete, and he exclaimed “this is gorgeous!” And not once did Services Prime come back to quibble about the price, which I can tell you from experience, is rare in the contracting/construction business, where everyone pads the bill and always claims that the project was much more complicated than anyone could have foreseen. I also availed myself of their inexpensive in-house planner, which was totally worth it. The planner helped me come closer to what I had in mind, in a way that better suited my house, than when I had worked with the previous contractor and hadn’t bothered consulting with one. This is probably the smoothest, easiest transaction I’ve ever had with a contractor.
