I was calling CLSC, and low and behold, they do not do blood tests. I was so close to home when I called E-ZLAB, and she was more than happy to take me on the spot. I told her I was feeling woozy and she already offered me water or juice. She was absolutely amazing . I would give more than 5 stars on this one. This girl is very efficient, and there is no playing around with vains as MOST nurses do. She drew my blood out so nice and easy it was insane. Astrid Hammermeister: Dr Paul Tabet was very patient when listening and answering question. I was getting a "cord goes deep in your nose" test, and he was kind and understanding about that difficulty and my discomfort.A lot of medical workers get annoyed or angry if you spazz out or can't relax during an uncomfortable or painful procedure, and instead he reassured me that I was doing well, and to me that's going above and beyond.Outside of that, the clinic was uncomfortable loud, which clashed horribly with the low quality speakers that announced which patient should go to which room.
NM: , and also you can only cancel/reschedule an appointment by calling at least 2 days before the scheduled appointment so that you don't pay the cancellation fee. Whereas you can confirm your appointment in the automatic appointment reminder email that they send you the week of your appointment, however, you can't cancel your appointment through that email/online confirmation link -- I hope they can change this, so that there is no need to call and wait on the phone for a while in order to cancel/reschedule an appointment.

But, thanks to the employee who was on shift at 22.30 on May 7, everything went surprisingly easily and quickly. Many thanks to her! Unfortunately, I don’t know her name, but thank you very much! She even made an appointment to the hospital to see a doctor the next day, so as not to wait 10 hours for a doctor’s appointment here. Thank you very much that there are such people!

Knowing that before going to the Jewish, I went to the Jean Talon hospital and I was warned of a 9-hour wait. All the nurses who took care of me were incredibly caring and attentive. Everyone was nice to me and kind. Thanks to the doctor on duty for taking my case seriously and demanding all possible tests. I had a lot of tests including a CT scan, all quickly. I tried to explain my despair to her, I expressed myself well, I asked her to find me a solution since the dates she offered me for a follow-up appointment did not correspond to those I had been told . She didn't want to know anything and she kept repeating the same things to me like a robot. The nurse told me that it wasn’t worth for me to wait here all night as my urgency wasn’t as urgent as others but still needed a check up quick. She gave me an appointment to a clinicNear my house the next day. I waited 30min for the lady at enregistrement to call me but didn’t so I just went up to her and asked kindly and she did my appointments on the spot. I know sometimes it can be long but surprisingly I was served pretty fast and kindly. Glory to God.

JUDY MacLean: My first time here for a surface ultrasound and I was totally impressed. I was greeted by Wesley at reception. What a lovely young man who was so kind and helpful. I explained that I was also supposed to be having a cortisone injection with ultrasound at my next visit but I was told it would be 3 months wait when I was originally called for the first appointment. He was compassionate and asked if I was in pain which I am and he was able to schedule the 2nd appointment within 4 days!!! Which I accepted!! I told him he was a magician and I’m still in shock that he did that for me. With people struggling with the medical system, this has renewed my faith.It takes so little at times to be kind and understanding and it goes a long way towards helping others.Bravo Wesley and stay “golden” and thank you so much 😊 🙏

Janet Ramsay: I am writing this on behalf of a friend, DD, an 80 yr old gentleman who received care at the hospital on March 14th 2024. He had fallen and incurred a head injury requiring a CT scan, referred by the Royal Victoria hospital. He was asked which MD would follow up and said he did not know. He was told “someone would contact him”. Concerned about this, he went to the Emergency dept and took number 34 and was soon seen by the nurse at the desk. He explained his situation to her and she said “this is not right, I’m going to find the answer for you”. She took his B/P, temp, O2sats and then gave him a referral sheet with an appt for a specialist. He was beyond grateful for this nurse who went over and above to help him with kindness and compassion. Her name was Nurse Colombo, and the Montreal General is very fortunate to have such a caring, efficient and kind employee. DD wants to thank her!

Allison Beattie: He has changed my life! I am currently a patient of his for Interstitial Cystitis, and he truly knows what he is doing! I saw 2 Urologists before him and nothing compares to his expertise. I have yet to do all of the treatments he recommended, but already starting with some of them, my quality of life has significantly improved! I have treatments to manage my symptoms. He is the one who gave me hope when I was feeling hopeless & desperate for pain relief. Looking forward to continuing his treatments. My only regret is that I wish I had found & went to him sooner!
