Situated inside an antique machinery depot, the rooms incorporate the architecture of the building to give a realistic look to its 5 unique games. With giant mental gears on the ceiling and spooky floors, all of A/Maze’s classics are here, the Mad Scientist Laboratory, the Prison Break, the Lost Temple, the Military Facility and Mind Game!
The rooms are so well done, the puzzles are fun to solve and not that obvious. The Car was so cool, because we had to find a way to enter and start an old mafia car on their parking lot ! Quite a fun place to go !
We did the laboratory which was well decorated and super fun. We used the 2 free clues very selectively but they were super important. Very enjoyable! Would definitely recommend.

Some puzzles were very exciting and, if necessary, help from the animators was there.I highly recommend most of the a/mazes in Montreal, for lovers of a one-hour escape it’s ideal.

Jeff D'Silva: We did "The Wizard Four and the Book of Black Arts" and it was a lot of fun! Some of the puzzles were challenging but we always had a staff member to help us. And the best part was that when they saw us struggling, they would proactively provide us with hint. We didn't need to call for help. I wouldn't recommend this particular adventure for inexperienced players, but it's the perfect fit for those with a bit of experience. Looking forward to visiting again to meet the staff and try a new game!

Frédérique Lanoix: Very enjoyable gaming experience! The settings are beautiful, the puzzles are well constructed and thought out. They are complex enough to require careful thought while remaining accessible and achievable. And what about the game master, Anthony! Handsome, funny, very attentive to his group. The clues came at the right time to help us when we were stuck without feeling pushed. The explanations before the game were very clear and his welcome, upon entering the building and at the end of our game, was very warm. I recommend Vortex and I recommend Anthony!
Vyckie B: Superb experience, magnificent decoration and an escape game well researched in details, lots of rooms to discover. 🤫We just regretted the absence of a timer ⏰ to keep track of the time we had left because we were disappointed to end up with a failure of the Fantastic Beasts mission.
Ali Ghaedi: It was a very pleasant experience! The riddles and the puzzles were really interesting, the set and design was decent. I wish we had more time or the riddles were more compatible with our limited time. Henry, out guide, was also very very nice. Totally recommend this place for escape room fans. Definitely will try the next adventure!

Renan Ruiz: This was one of the coolest experiences I ever had, this was mine and my wife's first escape room, and damn did we have a blast, the ambience is amazing, the immersion is perfect, the timing and puzzles are engaging and fun 11/10 experience. All that being said, the star of the whole experience was definitely our game master and host, Anthony, made the whole experience be 100x better, making sure that the whole escape was dynamic and never felt boring, 100/10 host… And the “other guy” Henry, the butler, was also very cool haha

P A: I did the box and it was very fun. The blond girl was nice and made good drinks. They had some technical difficulties but she was very nice about it and the box is very fun to solve, so it shouldn't be an issue. Its the first escape game ive done with a box and so i was very intrigued and excited to try it. If you like puzzles I suggest it. The place also had a really cozy ambiance with mood lighting and a steam-punk themed area to sit and chill. I liked the decor.

Се Бу: The puzzles had varying levels of difficulty, ranging from "my partner and I figured it out right away" to "we'll spend the whole hour on this if we're not clever." Very fun and made us feel very smart. We will definitely return with a larger group.

Sylvain Miron: Another great experience. Whether in Laval or Boisbriand, we are welcomed by staff who are competent in every way. The sets are top quality, the staging is flawless. Great support throughout the game. Located in an industrial part of Laval, this location would benefit from a slightly more visible exterior display, because a black poster in a darkening window is not great. Tiny parking, but there are possibilities to use the street. A big big thank you again for these 60 minutes of adventure
