Christine Bonis: Alfredo, his son and their team at Porto Portes et Fenêtres have completed several of my projects, including-the change of 40 year old windows for fiberglass flaps and sash at my request, in 2018-a replacement patio door window of which we did not know the brand/nor the manufacturer but, thanks to Alfredo's expertise, we were able to evaluate and find the manufacturer in order to redo the wood moldings and the type of thermos original in 2020 and in February 2023 a change of door and window on a house in a neighborhood with architectural standards: I had sound advice for the choice of the half-moon window above the door, the choice of the 3-point lock type on an oversized door as well as the cane type door handle instead of a button in order to facilitate the opening of the oversized door in cold weather. In all cases, the installation was careful and the service polite and as fast as possible given the deadlines imposed by the manufacturers. I have no reservations in recommending their services and products. THANKS!

To buy the wood, you need to pay inside the shop and then pick it up at the woodshop. You can check out what they have first at the woodshop, then go to the store to let them know what you're getting and pay then go back to pick it up.They even have small wood crates you for less than 11$ and they're great! You can stain them if you want. Everyone there is always nice and helpful, especially the lady at the cash.Mossir is always very nice, knowledgeable and super helpful with advice :

Natasha Fagant: I came here after a very frustrating experience at a different hardware store. I came into the Quincaillerie on the verge of tears and honestly pretty scared to talk to any of the workers in fear of being belittled. Instead I found a calm and kind gentleman working named Patrick. He listened as I described my issue and after I’d finished, told me that the problem I was facing was pretty common but the part that I was looking for had just not been engineered yet. I proposed a couple of solutions that he wasn't entirely behind as they would be macgyvering different parts together but I insisted that I wanted to try.Wanting to be helpful Patrick brought me to the section where I found an adapter that I could alter. He also proposed a Drain Pipe Connector as opposed to the shrinking hose for electronics that I was thinking of modifying. I never would have thought of that… because I’m not a plumber which is why I was seeking plumbing advice.I'm not going to lie I've had frustrating experiences at this store where I have felt talked down to and its hard not to assume that its because Im a woman coming into a male dominated field and workspace. However, today I felt my concerns were listened to and that I left with a plan of action and more information after talking to Patrick.We need more Patricks in the world.

Starting with Tony Semeraro the sales rep who guided us with our project he was very knowledgeable and kept his word on the date of the installation. Max and his crew came to do the installation they were amazing starting with making sure to cover the floors and the furniture, you could tell they love their job they made sure of every little detail and after the work was done they vacuumed and cleaned up completely. They made sure we were completely satisfied before leaving. Thank you to the team at Factory Direct especially Tony and Max, I would recommend them if you are looking for windows and doors, they have excellent prices
