Che Churros & Empanadas: what do users think?

Joshua Mars: Food: 5/5

Daira Mujica: I discovered this place through Uber Eats and what delicious choripanes and churros they have! I'm obsessed. Regarding the service, the girls who serve speak French, Spanish and English and I saw that some locals come to practice their Spanish there. I highly recommendDietary restrictions: there are several dishes for everyone

Sara F: Very good empanadas with nice tasty chimichurri ! The spinach soup is also nice but a little bit too spicy. Very affordable lunch option

LA Rey: Still the best churros in town. Equally on par with their other location.

Douce Revelle: So good. I can not wait to return to!

Amanda L. McGowan: Wow just wow! Looking for somewhere to refuel when wandering the plateau or heading to the mountain? 🏔️ Check out the folks at Che Churros & Empanadas. BEST empanadas I’ve ever had & they were gluten free! Highly recommend the 2 empanadas + soup special. It was the warm hug I needed on a cold gloomy day. It brought sunshine ☀️ to my eyes. Bonus points for adding new songs to my playlist 🎶 I recommend taking time to sit and enjoy the chill vibe away from the hustle and bustle. Thank you can’t wait to be back! Bonus for having a single stall toilet for people to use.

Jacob Laporte: I also enjoyed a chicken empanada which was very tasty. I recommend this restaurant to everyone who likes good food for cheap.

Diego Figueroa: All their products are great and fresh. They offer a nice variety of tasty empanadas and there is something for everyone. The sandwiches are each time served in crusty bread which allows us to really savor the ingredients. Plus, the churros are filling and crispy without being too heavy. I highly recommend taking a trip to Che Churros & Empanadas. A beautiful little Argentinian corner that you hardly find in Montreal in addition to being one of the rare places where you can fill your belly for less than $20.

Corinne Charbonneau: Best churros I've eaten in Montreal! I love that the glaze is inside the churros, it makes it more special than just a dip.

Pâtisserie Rhubarbe: what do users think?

Catherine Lehouillier: Pastries and pastries of exceptional quality. An establishment worthy of 6 out of 5 stars in my opinion.

Saeed Ahmadiani: The kouing Aman was perfect! The cheesecake was good, but its base was like a raw flour in mouth that would cover the pallette and would ruin the taste of the cheesecake. The latte was too small! It was the smallest and coldest latte I have ever had, and I paid 4.5 for it!Btw, if you get there after 11 a.m., you probably miss the giant chocolate croissants

Pâtisserie Au Kouign Amann: what do users think?

Roo Latif: . Affordable and smiles aplenty from the lovely folk that work there.

Nana Khadijah: I loved the cozy vibe of this space. It was a pretty small cafe, two tables but I was able to get seating as most people came for take outs. The Koiugn Amann was so yummy!I really appreciated that the staff were so nice and patient to speak French slowly to me as they could tell I was trying to practice 😅

Carson Wong: It would've been a shame if they didn't do their namesake justice...but they absolutely knocked it out of the park! Excellent Kouign Amann with a crispy sweet exterior and flaky buttery interior. Would've loved to also try their croissants but they sell out quick!

Cyril BECKER: Very tasty Kouogn Amman I have tried the chocolat one as well, there is so much butter that it melts in mouth

Arthur Zak: 8 years ago I stumbled into this Cafe accidentally and had one of the best desserts I had ever eaten. Now 8 years later I had the pleasure of eating it again. Nowhere else I have tried kouign amann comes close to the pastry here. Crackling, chewy crust, and an almost custardy soft inside. 10/10 would eat again. A must eat for any Montreal trip.

M W: Please don't tell me it permanently closed, my top faves spot ~ sad disappointment.

Nes: My go to for great pastries. Never disappointed.

Elise Geum: Perfectly balanced sweet paired with a latte and it's delightful. I go there often and get mango or raspberry tarts or chocolate caramel mouse that melt in the mouth.

Léna Brandenbusch: Chocolate birthday cake to roll around on the floor. Flavors and quality assured.

Flerida Infante: Loved my almond croissant and chai latte! The atmosphere is so cozy and charming and the staff is very attentive and friendly. She was very accommodating and answered every question we had and made sure we enjoyed our time there.

Ricardo Maturana: S P E C T A C U L A R!!!!Some of the best and most refined pastries i’ve ever had.

Jaclyn Smith: Cute little shop with many delectable baked goods, though sadly nothing was gluten-free. However, my mocha was one of the best I've ever had and my partner thoroughly enjoyed her almond chocolate croissant.I recommend this on the mocha alone.

Sara Al Sarraf: As I left the patisserie, I hit the door and my cake fell onto the sidewalk... I returned to the counter with my head down, broken cake in my hands. Without any hesitation, with a smile on her face, the cashier immediately exchanged the cake. That’s generous, a big thank you! Plus it was delicious 3Service: 5/5 …

Amritansh Mishra: Beautiful and delicious cakes 😀

Georgia Sfyridis: We ordered our wedding cake from Yuki and it was delicious! The raspberry lemon flavour is fantastic and she was able to accommodate my seveer peanut and nut allergy which was amazing. The cake looked beautiful and tasted great as well! I highly recommend!

Samantha Barley: I tried the red velvet cake at a wedding I attended and it was fantastic. So moist and not too sweet. Perfect.

Joelle Trepanier: The cake was beautiful and delicious. I highly recommend the lemon and raspberry flavour!

Camille KG: We went with Yuki Bakery for our wedding cake. The service was quick and efficient, and our cake was exactly like planned. We got many compliments on it. Some guests had to leave before we cut our cake so we were lucky enough to eat some of our wedding cake leftovers every night for a week after the wedding. We didn't mind at all!

Annie Laufer: We ordered a beautiful cake for a baby shower. The cake was beautiful and delicious. Thank you for the good service.

Layo Abe: Ordered a cake from them from Nigeria to be delivered on Montreal and they more than delivered. Very pleasant experience and I learnt the cake was yummy😇

Sandy Li: Yuki Bakery delivered our wedding cake beyond our expectation. They communicated very thoroughly on the design, was very clear on every process and accommodated all of our needs till the delivery. Since Yuki Bakery has a nut free kitchen, we can trust them 100% on the safety of our friends with dietary restrictions.

Tianjiao Chen: Cute and delicious! Highly recommended!

janice: Excellent Chinese baked goods that are creative and fun along with the authentic taste. Sad that the number of Chinese Bakeries are going down - but at least this one remains! Love how it incorporates French, Japanese favors in some pastries. Service is okay, but with food this good, it tends to be overlooked. No real location to sit, so it's takeout only.

Camille Canut: Favorite for this Chinese pastry! The mochis are amazing, as well as the steam cake. For cheap !

Guillaume: what do users think?

jean ioannidis: Tested and approved by a baker who came from Belgium for vacation - baguette not bad, chocolatines and croissants very good - butt with potatoes and cheddar meh meh meh you have to like it but in my opinion hot is better - on the other hand big negative point is the indication of the bakery - we passed in front of the workshop which is well indicated however the bakery was not seen!! The front looks like anything but a bakery... the prices are not cheap compared to back home...

Jeremiah Hayes: Best chocolate brownies in Montreal! These brownies are amazing, super moist and chocolatey, with the perfect amount of salt. Boulangerie Guillaume is also a magnificent place for bread and the like. Unfortunately the service can be hit or miss, where sometimes you get greeted by a trendy stuck-up kid who has a hard time smiling, but that comes with the territory on the Plateau.

Robert Ruffo: and by the time I get off work they're closed. They would have taken 5x more of my money by now if they kept hours that aligned with when I, and I'm sure the majority of their customer pool, can go. Why not 11:00- 7:00? 10:30-6:30? Would probably even be easier for them to find staff, because few young people want to wake up at 6AM to make a 7:30 shift

Chris L: We are visiting Montreal - we stumbled upon this place and stopped for brunch. Everything was delicious! The people are really friendly. I want to eat all the things in the cabinet; but I’m too full!!I have already pinned this place for my next visit to Montreal - I will definitely be coming back!

Elise Barber: Such a lovely little place! Stopped in here with two grumpy kids looking for something remotely healthy, and was thrilled to be able to get them a grilled cheese sandwich and a delicious smoothie- picky kid approved! Super friendly service, several dairy free options for my husband, and an amazing selection of baked goods, all for a reasonable price. We'll be back here.

Best Quests: We were attracted by the exterior decor and once inside we realized it gets better. So many things we would love the purchase including prayer style candles with pop stars or celebrities on them which we loved.Apart from the beautiful and elaborate interior we enjoyed some magnificent, homemade tasting macarons in various delicious flavours and French toast latte, yes read that again, it's as good as it sounds. We also couldn't help but get the cookie adorned with lucky charms which was too  if to finish but still wonderful.

Mathieu Landry: Very good service, excellent smoked salmon bagel, pleasant atmosphere.

Mehdi: the croissants early in the morning are to die for !!!!

Archana Rao: Recommended dishes Red Velvet Butter Ball

Raymond L: . By the way the picture doesn't look awesome because they have been sitting in my car for 6 hours on my way back to Toronto...I know......Dietary restrictions: Dairy free

Zhanna Brovarets: Almond croissant is the bomb!P.S. please don’t go cheaper by using cheaper ingredients, it now seems like you make high quality products. And it’s getting really hard to eat out because of folks complaining about prices which forces a lot of cafes and restaurants to use lower grade ingredients to meet people’s prices expectations.

Andrew Busuioc: Awesome vegan bakery! Recommend to anyone! I have to remove a star sadly because over the past two years the prices have exploded. The feuilletés especially if they were 4$ or 4.50$ we would buy all the time but we never buy them anymore as they are closer to 7$ each! Keep in mind they are smaller than their croissants which are 3.75$ aprox. If some prices would come down I feel like they would sell more for sure! Otherwise the taste of their product is a big 10/10 and the service is always awesome!Vegetarian options: Everything is vegan!

Mariola Mariola: Vegan patisserieRecommended dishes Pastries Vegan, Spinach and Feta …

O. B1Ken0-b: Was there to pick up a cake but could not resist picking up an almond croissant while I waited for my order. It was delicious! Probably one of the best almond croissants I've ever tasted. The service was simply amazing. I was greeted and served by two very lovely and sweet attendants. Will definitely pay them a visit again.

Jay T: Super authentic Latin shop! I was looking for some legit Churros for Cinco de Mayo and came across Che Churro. They have all kinds of groceries items to make your own goodies at home but I was happy to order up some delicious Churros and Empanadas! They were all so good!! We ordered 12 chirros, 3 or each flavourful I also ordered the chicken and cranberry and beef and onion empanadas, soo good!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some legit Spanish goodies! Great stuff, super helpful and super yummy food!!

vic armstrong: Best churros I’ve ever had! Dulce de leche was delicioussss. Will be coming back every trip to Montreal! Also nice selection other snacks.

gem aquino: I would go out of my way simply to have a bite of these churros!!!! I’ve tried a few churros but this place sells the BEST ones. SO satisfyingly crunchy on the outside while the dough on the inside is soft and bouncy. My go-to flavour is the dulce de leche one; so creamy and caramelly! Please pay them a visit, you won’t regret the churros!

Marcelo Pellicano: with charcoal taste.

Thomas Bracken: Great Argentinian restaurant with also Mexican food. It's a different culture and somewhat authentic. It's a worthwhile destination.

Quynh Nguyen: The best almond croissants I’ve ever had out of the 5-6 popular bakeries in Montreal. The almond filling is very custardy and doesn’t have the artificial almond flavoring that I sometimes tasted in an almond croissant. Their butter croissants are lacking a little bit of flakiness, but are very buttery so they are still pretty decent overall.

The Button Store • La Boutique de Macarons: Coffee wonder!

nocap: great apple turnover and service. i recommend

Maria Isabelle Hernandez: For 12 years, I have been buying my croissants from the brothers Frédéric and Ludovic, the best croissants in town. Today I tried a sandwich that I haven't had the chance to try before. WOW, try it with roast beef! Personally, it's my favorite sandwich :-DLong life !

kala'i shigetomi: Very good croissant and pastries. However very disappointed with the coffee, which we prepared in a dirty cup.Request not respected I asked for a cappuccino I got a latte.Otherwise good pastries

Anjali: The staff is always so sweet and accommodating! I have celiac so this place is perfect for me! The pastries, cookies, etc average around 5 CAD each but obviously it is dependent on whatever you get! Love them though like seriously having gluten free pastries that genuinely yummy makes my heart so happy, I always make my way here for my sweet fix !I really like the carrot cake, carré aux bleuets, and the carré that had chocolate + coconut!!

L K: Very good gluten free location. My only sadness is that back in March 2022 they had this delicious pistachio & chocolate cookie that appeared on the menu.. then suddenly a few months later when I came back in they informed me that they never had such a creation? I dream of that cookie. I wish I knew its name & why it appeared so suddenly just as suddenly as it disappeared.

Thomas Simpkin: The whole cafe is gluten free and there are vegan options! The vegan options are rly good!Food: 5/5 …
