Sahil Patel: for a similar priced motherboard and he would take the one I brought in, but since I bought it off Amazon, I could just return it without issue and he even told me if I couldn't return it, just come back to him and he'd take care of it. He took responsibility. I appreciate that. Plus, I got a $50 discount.My only concerns remaining would be whether my CPU is still in good shape after the motherboard incident I mentioned earlier.Nonetheless, it was overall a pretty good experience. I would recommend people to come here for their PC building needs. The employees are young and easy to communicate with in English or French. You can see them building the PC as you wait at the front counter which is very reassuring. Although it make take them some time, they get the job done.I will also post an update in the future at some point on the status of this build.Lastly, here are some pics of the completed build.

A few years ago, I used the services and advice offered by the Computer International company on Plaza Saint-Hubert, which unfortunately no longer exists today. The InfoMontréal company, it seems, are diehards in the field of computer revamping and repair. On-site assessment, relevant advice, sale of new and used parts, all considered with solidity and durability in mind. The list of services offered on their website is large, amazing and detailed and the telephone service as in person is clear and dedicated. The prices look good. Bring them your whistling beast, they will know how to direct you.Hat!

Alexandre opened my computer in front of me, showed me everything he was doing, explained the diagnostics he looked at, and was very patient with my ignorance and questions. He let me take my computer home so I could keep using it until the part arrived the next day. While I was there, several customers came in who he knew my name -- he had clearly been their "tech guy" for a while, and they seemed to really value and trust his knowledge. He also has nice artwork on the walls, purchased directly from the artists to support their work.

I reinstalled it right away and my oven works perfectly. The defective electronic components were even returned to me.Of course there is a high cost but it is justified. Otherwise the same part, almost impossible to find new, cost between $400 and $700 with a long delay or even out of stock. And changing the oven would have been $2000 or more. The calculation is quickly done.Very happy with the service from Moderne Électronique.
