Deborah B: I met Dr. Gilardino several years ago when he repaired my daughter’s broken finger at the Montreal Children’s hospital and had witnessed his warm, reassuring demeanour with childrenand their nervous parents. I was also aware of his stellar reputation in his chosen field.My experience at Le 1620 began in January 2023. The atmosphere at the clinic was exactly what I hoped to find. The clinic itself is light, spacious, spotlessly clean, and comfortable.In consultation, Dr. Gilardino explained what could be done, how it would be done, as well as what I could anticipate throughout the process and beyond. He attentively listened and provided comprehensive answers to my questions. I left the office with a quotation, confident in my decision.From the pre-op appointments to the post-operative ones, I was provided with ample documentation and guidance to facilitate navigation of all phases of the process. I was aware that someone would be reachable at any time of the day or night if the need arose. I felt encouraged by everyone and optimistic at all times. All the nursing staff were most comforting and helpful. My husband, who accompanied me to many appointments, received the same level of consideration and assurance.To date I have interacted with at least eight team members, and without exception, each person has been professional, efficient, well-organized and welcoming. Consequently, I have felt exceptionally well-supported.The result of all this is absolutely amazing. Cheryl Gouthro: I am 5 days post op from lower Bleph. My experience with the clinic so far has been excellent. At my consultation, Dr Doumit was very sweet and told me he could easily correct my eye bags. The clinic is very nice and comfortable. I had to wait a while for the consult but thats to be expected in a Doctors office. Im not a person to be bothered by that. Day of surgery the lovely Angie was my nurse and what a sweetheart. She took great care of me. Answered all my questions and was very warm and friendly. The other nurses that day were also wonderful but I didnt get their names. The surgery was quick with a little pain. Dr Doumit is a bit rough but its ok because he’s very quick and knows what hes doing. I dont mind that because Im more concerned with the results and I dont question that kind of skill set. Today I got my stitches out with the lovely Audrey. She was so gentle! Very warm and funny which I love. The Dr checked my eyes and seen there was a bit of irritation and sent me off with a prescription for eye drops. After one dose my eye feels so much better. So far my results are amazing after only 5 days and still lots of swelling. Just to mention, if you arent from Montreal there is some parking behind the building you can check for a spot or right out front of the building. I highly recommend the clinic and all the staff. Also Simone! She was great at finalizing all the details for the surgery. Thanks for the great experience.

Ju P.: I was very impressed with how quick and efficient the day of my surgery went. I was in and out by 11:30 AM as Dr. Laungani's first patient of the day. The staff were attentive and caring, I was in good hands the entire time. I was prescribed with meds that have helped manage my pain and bowel movement. So far, my healing journey has been great. If you're hesitating on applying for gender affirmation surgery, I highly recommend GrS Montreal.
Sergii Chernysh: My surgery was on December 7, 2023. My surgeon was Dr. Laungani, I am happy with his services and also with the anaesthesiologist and the whole team that helped during the surgery. However, there were problems with post-operative service. In the evening everything was fine and I received good pain relief, probably tramadol every 3-4 hours. However, the nurses who were on duty at night refused to give me this painkiller, they gave me Tylenol and offered sleeping pills. I couldn't sleep until the morning. When I left the clinic in the morning, I was given a prescription for tramadol, which I can buy and use whenever I want and as often as I want. When I asked why I couldn’t get just one tablet at night to sleep peacefully, none of the clinic staff could explain anything to me. For the operation I would give 5, but due to the post-op service I give 4.

The nurses alone made my experiences one of the best by helping me from the start, they were caring, compassionate and understanding. Dr. Bélanger is a FANTASTIC surgeon and even that is an understatement, I am beyond satisfied with my results, and she put my mind at ease before surgery. She is a doctor that genuinely cares about her patients. I highly recommend this clinic for any work! Amazing staff! The aftercare as well, they email you back within minutes addressing your concerns.
