Toqué!: what do users think?

Jessie D'Aigle: Toqué is a culinary gem that truly delivers an exceptional dining experience through its "menu dégustation". From start to finish, this restaurant exuded excellence in service, presentation, and taste.Upon stepping into Toqué, we were greeted with impeccable service that set the tone for the evening. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcomed and at ease throughout the dining experience. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the seven-course tasting menu that proved to be a culinary journey like no other. Each dish was not only beautifully plated but also showcased a careful balance of flavors that left us wanting more. From the first bite to the last, every course was a delightful surprise, showcasing the chef's mastery in combining ingredients to create a symphony of taste. My girlfriend, Julie, and I were thoroughly impressed by the thoughtful execution of each dish and appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal. ... And the champagne pairing was excellent.

Isabel Carrier: , nice meeting with Normand Laprise

yx Sun: I had an incredible 3-hour experience with their 7-course tasting menu! My favorites were the beef steak, quail, and two desserts. The beef and quail were exceptionally tender, and the accompanying sauces were bursting with flavor. Both dishes had a divine aroma when they arrived. Even though I’m not usually a fan of sweet dishes, I thoroughly enjoyed their desserts. They struck a perfect balance, not overly sweet, and the sorbet with sponge cake combination was delightful. The meal began with a brown butter mousse amuse-bouche, followed by the sea urchin as the first course. While the brown butter mousse was delicious, the sea urchin lacked a bit of its distinctive flavor for my taste. Unfortunately, the complimentary bread was served cold and didn’t make much of an impression compared to the other outstanding dishes. The service was fantastic. They efficiently cleaned our table, and water and wine refills were prompt. However, I found the ambiance to be a bit noisy compared to Europea, where I had dined previously. Overall, it was a memorable night at this restaurant.

Eric Piety: Amazing food, service, and atmosphere at a Montreal landmark! The owner of 36 years watches over everything and there are servers who have been here since the beginning. That means they are treated well, and as a customer, that comes through in excellent service!! Our server at our first visit was "Gourmet"! And he gave us a Gourmet experience! We return regularly now, and I can say ALL servers deserve praise. So thanks Le Taj!!!Kid-friendliness: It's a beautiful restaurant for adults...but it's also my 7 year old daughter's favorite 😍. The servers are highly experienced and kind. My daughter feels like a princess at Le Taj.

Dave Bouffard: We booked a Friday night for 6:45pm, the restaurant was full when we arrived and stayed full the entire time we were there. We got a great table in a corner so we did have a bit of a quiet table, which I would say if a premium here. Our server James was amazing. The best way to describe it was subtle. While I have no complaints about having to fill my own water glass, in over two hours, I never had to and I drank two bottles. Genuinely kind service that means a lot.Drinks were made well, and served surprisingly quickly which was miss. A good sync between the bar and kitchens.Highly recommended, the restaurant was very nicely designed, we will return next trip to Montreal.

Sandra Mc: Food is amazing! The service is good. Nice restaurant with a terasse. Love the deco.Perfect for a night out with friends & dates.Their desserts are really good.Street parking - limited.Considered a fancy restaurant.

Lady Syese: We had a reservation for 14 people on April 12th.A very nice welcome upon arrival. We have an aperitif before our 7 p.m. dinner to taste some signature cocktails and a good glass of wine.We chose the group menu to be able to taste several dishes from the menu. All the flavor combinations are really good. My 3 year old daughter even loved her experience and the employees were very kind to us.I recommend the restaurant

Cyril BECKER: and everything is tasty the flavour of each dish is well balanced. They have a great wine selection to match your menu. The steak sauce flambée is prepared right in front of you and you will feel the heat.

Organic World Club: Top-notch French restaurant in the heart of Montreal! If you’re looking for a special experience, Europea consistently delights with some of the best food and wine in the world. The best ingredients available turned into art for the eyes and taste buds combined with great service is what drives me to come back. Some of the menu highlights included fresh mint tea, onion soup served in an onion, lobster cappuccino, and more paired with phenomenal wines; also, eye watering variety of deserts — my personal choice for best desert was the maple cotton candy. The highlight of the wine pairing was a mistery wine served in black glass. It was of course outstanding in flavor but also unique in appearance.

Vlora Ahmeti: First of all, let me start with saying this is a dining experience. The presentation is very artistic and the flavors are delicate and to be savored. It's not the type of place to go if your interested is a warm, superfilling comfort meal. Atmosphere is beautifully decorated and has nice lighting. Service was excellent, special shout out to Valentino for humoring us. Would definitely recommend for the experience if you're in Montreal for a few days.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. Hard pressed to get children to eat these things.

Frederique Chezet: Gastronomic trip to Montreal at the table of Jerome Ferer "Europea"Magical, exceptional, gastronomic staging

P London: Exceptional.

Derrek Nador: Update April 2024, as good as ever! Wine list, service and food were 5 stars. If you want to splurge on a special occasion this is a top spot in Montreal to do so! Superb service and food. The food speaks for itself. Fresh ingredients, delishious dishes with great flavors. The service is some of the friendliest, most bilingual ive had recently. Could be a little over bearing if you dont want someone checking in on you very often, but for me it added to the night. Duck appetizer, the duck main and the roasted quail.

Marky Marc: Beef tartare was way too salty, couldn't taste anything else. Bacon wrapped rabbit was delicious. Shucked snow crab special was great, so much easier to eat. Brussel sprouts had a nice sauce. Hibiscus ice cream sandwich was perfect, though not sure why it was wrapped up like a soap bar. Great music selection. Excellent service. House martini was like a Lemon Drop, definitely enjoyable. The recommended Cabernet red was a great accompaniment.

L'Avenue: what do users think?

Tennessee Fats: After watching a YouTube review of this place I made it a “Must Go” stop on this trip. The place did NOT disappoint. It’s a smaller place and the tables are packed in there but that really helps set the atmosphere. It’s loud. For anyone that’s noise-a-phobic this one may trigger you but I found it great and could clearly hear the person I was with. The service was fast and they have no problem with English for the travellers in town that struggle with ordering in French. The food was great and you can watch it being prepared at the open counter.A very eclectic place to eat at and a must go for anyone serious about breakfast and brunch.

Raymond Miranti: As far as I am concerned this was the best brunch and breakfast in North America. Periodt. I had the "I'll have it All" a few times and it's my favorite. Everything was wonderful, eggs, pancake, french toast and the bacon is cooked perfectly. The coffee was wonderful I had the "bowl" of latte.ONLY NEGATIVE - its not located in New York or closer to me

Andrea Rogers: Omg… where do we startDelicous food great vibe, a little tight, long line during lunch but worth the wait. If coming early or late no line but right at lunch it will be a line down the street. It moves fast but come patient 😅No reservations first come first serve.Me; tiramisu indecisive: my favorite thing were the potatoes, wow! I got guac in place of pork on plate, and I was full off the main items. The French toast was killer and melted in our mouths, only ate half of it and one small slice of multigrain bread. I got a pistachio latte… 🤤 I mean whatttttt yeah the food coma was real!My hubby got eggs Benedict steak and eggs; loved all the food but vibe was his favorite! The atmosphere was his thing Needless to say this is a MUST when in Montreal MY respects L’Avenue

Otto Tai: It's not an Internet celebrity restaurant, but I still had to wait in line for 30 minutes. The food was delicious and the service was good. When I was serving the food, I adjusted the position of the plate and accidentally dropped the fork, but the waiter caught it with good skill and replaced it with a new fork. Audrey patiently introduced and recommended delicious dishes and delicious restaurants worth recommending.

From Moi: Breathtaking! The meals are plentiful. An amazing menu that will please everyone!Vegetarian options: Lots of meat-free options!

Ericca Al Hawa: I recently dined at Chez Devi Indian Cuisine, and it was a delightful experience that transcended mere dining. The ambiance, enveloped in soothing music, immediately transported me to the heart of India. The staff, with their genuine warmth and hospitality, added an extra layer of charm to the evening. But it was the food that truly stole the show, each dish a culinary masterpiece that allowed me to explore and appreciate the rich tapestry of Indian flavors. It's not just a restaurant; it's a gateway to new cultures, where every bite tells a story.

BOUILLON BILK: what do users think?

Kayla Seider: My husband and I traveled to Montreal for our honeymoon and had the pleasure of dining at Bouillon Bilk. We had an incredible dining experience! The service was fantastic. Our waiter was very helpful and had a great personality. We had a oysters, scallops and the duck. The food was truly some of the best we've ever had. I am still dreaming about my scallops. We highly recommend this restaurant and hope to be back someday!

David: I do have an expectation that it'd be not just a very good experience but a great and/or excellent experience. A couple of things stood out to me in this regard. The starter bread came with butter, however the butter was still quite cold

Squirrel Friend: This place is simply amazing. The food is creative and delicious. The service is attentive and friendly. The vibe is casual and cozy. The highlight of my meal was the foie gras dessert. Yeah, it sounds kind of wrong but tastes extremely right. Almost like a banana foster with duck liver instead of ton of butter. Wine list is impressive as well. They serve d'yquem for dessert if someone is willing to drop major bucks.

Nicole Caico: Like almost all the other reviews here say, this place is fantastic. The tasting menu was amazing and the bottle of wine the sommelier helped us pick went well with everything. The restaurant is elegant, and all the staff are very friendly and professional.

Alexandre Talbot: to richer dishes

Simon Forest: We had the tasting menu with Canadian and European wine pairings. Each of the five courses was uniquely tasty and well balanced. Wines enhance the flavors of meals. The service was impeccable, with special mention to the sommelier who was very friendly.Great atmosphere.

Candide: what do users think?

Squirrel Friend: What an amazing restaurant. Tasting menu has a lot of quality and seasonal ingredients. The highlights of the meal for me were the crab and carrot dish as well as the mushroom oat porridge. I visited Montreal during the snow crab season, so the crab was out of this world. The porridge was savory and hearty. Service was attentive and friendly. The waitresses were so nice and sweet. One of the waitresses was also in charge of making cocktails, and the drink that I got was delicious. The restaurant is in the back of an old church and has a very unique vibe.

Caroline Duksta: . The staff was friendly and professional, balancing attentiveness while giving us space to enjoy our night seamlessly. The food was refreshing, thoughtful and surprising. I appreciate a slow deliberate meal, never feeling rushed nor forgotten. The smoked oysters were delightful and the sea bass was complimented perfectly with the mushrooms and fennel.

Swati S: Food is great. Honey at the end was such a special touch. The service is amazing: friendly, kind, fast between courses, but you don't feel rushed at all. Would definitely recommend Candide for a great night out with really delicious food.Vegetarian options: They were super understanding and accommodating to provide a vegetarian menu, especially with my added inconvenience that I can't eat mushrooms.Dietary restrictions: Very understanding and kind.

Flavours of India Restaurant: what do users think?

alejandro figueroa: Best Indian food in jean Talon, this place is in all honesty the best value you’re gonna get around. The decore is from another world, it’s like somebody hired Dracula, gave me acid and ask him to do the interior design. Culinary wise, Everything they make it is consistent. You will not get disappointed with their food, there is speciality is northern cuisine of India and the service is amazing since you will most probably will be there only customer, is like you are a king/queen and you have these crew of people at your service……of course this is because there is no one there ever. Something cool about that too is that the bathrooms are clean and that pretty amazing. This place will not survive for too long, so take the time to encourage them before the bankruptcy.

Chevalier Logan: [UPDATE] Tried it again after the new opening. Sad to not see the same waitress as before, the new one was not very nice and forgot few things from our order. The food was still alright but I did not like it as much. I sadly won't be coming back.-------My all time favourite. Even when I can’t pass by to eat I grab a delicious mango lassi. The waitress is awesome and the food amazing. I always feel welcomed and im looking forward to coming back. The food is tasty and very affordable.

X x: This is my second time coming back to ithq. Both times, I ordered the tasting menu. All courses were tasty. Of course I had preferences over others. With that said, this is a great experience if you want to try experimental foods, impeccable services in a warm atmosphere *at more affordable prices compared to pure tasting restaurants*Both times were a 2.5-3 hour experience.

Cameron C: Food is excellent. Impeccable service. We enjoyed it very much.

Charles Therrien: Our experience at the ITHQ restaurant in Montreal was simply exceptional! We were delighted with our lunch, carefully prepared by Pasquale Vari's team. Each dish was a true delight for the taste buds, showcasing the creativity and culinary expertise of the team. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the impeccable service added a touch of refinement to our experience. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised when we were offered Crepes Suzette for dessert, a nice touch that perfectly concluded this memorable meal. A truly unforgettable moment!

Gaby Lacatus: Everything to the maximum quality, cuisine, service, atmosphere. To refer...Gaby and Guy

Genoveffa Fiorin: Next to the Saint-Louis square, eating at the ITHQ is a gastronomic experience full of local flavors. We went there for a birthday and it was a delicious gift to give yourself. The wine list is diverse. It’s very popular with Montrealers and I recommend making reservations. The service is excellent and they are attentive to any request.

Millot Clement: Really nice place with French service. We had the guest menu and the dishes were very good.I recommend the restaurant for this dining experience. I will go back there very soon.

John Bailey: Great food . Great value. Great staffFun decor

Roger Rosenquist: Awesome dining experience here. My friend and I both got the steak frites, which were delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and topped with a great herb butter while the fries were hot and crisp. My friend got a salad that tasted fresh and was a good opener. We also split some of their profiteroles for dessert, and those were extremely tasty. Would recommend.

Doriane Das: We came for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. The service was excellent, the servers very kind and attentive. My husband had the duck confit and I chose the mussels/fries. The experience was very good but we were disappointed by the duck confit dish which was certainly excellent but in very small quantities - especially on the accompaniment where three potatoes fought a duel on 3 salad leaves... However we had watched the menu in advance with photos from previous comments…

Nicholas: I got the quail with wild rice, SO good. Amazing traditional French restaurant with amazing service as well.

Youngmin Lee: A great French restaurant, with amazing food, wine list, and service. If you go during the day time, try to book à table under the glass ceiling! I really liked their appetizers and desserts the most, their paté was amazing, and the bone marrow, chèvre salade, grilled octopus, duck confit were also really tasty. The lemon tart was one of the best I've had in Montreal.
