yx Sun: I had an incredible 3-hour experience with their 7-course tasting menu! My favorites were the beef steak, quail, and two desserts. The beef and quail were exceptionally tender, and the accompanying sauces were bursting with flavor. Both dishes had a divine aroma when they arrived. Even though I’m not usually a fan of sweet dishes, I thoroughly enjoyed their desserts. They struck a perfect balance, not overly sweet, and the sorbet with sponge cake combination was delightful.The meal began with a brown butter mousse amuse-bouche, followed by the sea urchin as the first course. While the brown butter mousse was delicious, the sea urchin lacked a bit of its distinctive flavor for my taste. Unfortunately, the complimentary bread was served cold and didn’t make much of an impression compared to the other outstanding dishes.The service was fantastic. They efficiently cleaned our table, and water and wine refills were prompt. However, I found the ambiance to be a bit noisy compared to Europea, where I had dined previously. Overall, it was a memorable night at this restaurant.

Emily Zimmerman: My husband, good friend and I had such a good time at garde manger while we were visiting from California. Montreal is famous for it's food and garde mangers reputation precedes it, but it was even better than we expected. The vibe of this place felt like it was bringing fine dining to a millenial crowd with the music and ambiance. And unlike many other fine dining establishments where the clientele skews much older, this place was packed with people between 25 and 40. The dress code ranged from smart casual to jeans.Our favorite part of the meal was how bilingual it is. My husband and friend are native French but fluent in English, so we tried using English for me. However, the meal used uncommon ingredients that they didn't know in English so our server was giving us a full rundown in English and French without missing a beat. Scott Looney: Great Portugeuse/French restaurant in old Montreal. The food was delicious, I had a sur la mer style pasta and my wife had a beautifully cooked salmon and shrimp over rice. Plenty of fresh baked bread and several rounds of drinks. The service was equally good, an older gentleman got to know us a bit was a big hockey fan knowing players from our home town team from back in the 70's, lol. Stop here you won't regret it. Sadly the only photo I took was our view from the table.

Robert Oliver: Fantastic dinner, probably the best we had on our trip. Had the seafood special appetizer with the aoli sauce which was incredible. Beef tartar was great too! Split the New York strip with the bone marrow. Cooked to perfection and so rich with the marrow also liked the side horse radish cabbage. Someone else got the lobster pasta which was outstanding! Enjoyed the lemon sorbet thoroughly!

Will definitely go back to try what our table neighbors had, lobster spaghetti, which was a whole lobster on pasta! We spent 250$ for a shared meal with no appetizers, so expect to spend a little. Worth every penny!
