The Skritt King: Craftdeville is my go-to local quilt shop for anything quilting or crafting related. They have a great selection of fabrics, patterns, and notions, but the best thing is the personalized attention and assistance I get. Craftdeville and recently started offering workshops. It's a cozy place where you'll definitely be making new friends in addition to picking up some new skills.
Maggie Hobbs: Great selection of crafting products, from quilting, embroidery, bag making, and everything in between! Also Stacy is awesome at helping you find what you need, and her shop is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon looking at all of the pretty things!
Christine Ouellet Dumont: Great shop, with a lot of choice of fabric, a great many tools for quilting, sewing, embroidery, etc. Stacy is always happy to help her customers and share her knowledge with them. A good selection of workshops too.

I bought three dresses and Valentina gave me a discount on the third dress which was sweet. The dresses don’t have labels or washing instructions, which isn’t an issue, but some threads are loose or fraying. This is very minor, though. I find I just have to be a little more careful when taking care of them. I would visit again to see the clothes, the people, and the lovely spot in Old Port!

Renee Taillon: I walked into Rebecca's shop around a year ago knowing nothing about quilting. Having just moved to the city I was looking for a hobby and she not only encouraged me but spurred me on every step of the way. MQS has excellent beginner classes, with knowledgable teachers who are passionate about what they do. The environment is always welcoming and the selection of fabrics is so robust.

Anita Busmanis: Monkland Quilt Studio is the best place in Montreal to shop for quilting fabric and so much more! Rebecca and her shop are so warm, welcoming and inviting. The selection is top notch, with hundreds of bolts to choose from, and new fabric coming in all the time. I love that she has a wide array of fabulous classes, for absolute beginners all the way up to experinced-level quilters. This gem of a shop is definitely worth a visit, either in person or through the website.

The owner is super knowledgable and clearly very passionate about the craft. She is very insightful and extremely helpful with recommendations. The actual products are fantastic.
