T VoMcKay: I believe you will be fine with Mackisen if you own a business or if your tax situation is complicated. But if you only have a simple tax return like mine, it's not worth it, because they charge too much! They charged me $3288.28 for a straightforward personal income tax return!Last year they charged me around $2500, but it was because my husband just passed away, so my tax situation was a little bit complicated!But this year, we are all clear, my personal income tax is simple, but they charged me $3288.28 for a single personal income tax! Manik said because of my investments. My investments? They are only mutual funds! Not a business! Many people own mutual funds, and they can very well declare dividends and capital gain/loss themselves. The form T1135, which I already filled in, but instead of mailing the form by post office, I asked them to file it electronically. That's all! But Manik used that as another justification to charge me $3288.28He treated my case as a business to charge me with a lot of money.As I said, unless you own a business or have big trouble with the CRA... But if your situation is just a 1 single personal income tax, it's much much cheaper elsewhere.The reason I must go to Mackisen last year was because my husband passed away, and our trusted 30-year accountant was suddenly very sick. So I had to find someone else, I saw many good comments on Google for Mackisen, that's why I chose them. Now I believe these good comments apply only to people who own a business, but not for a straightforward personal income tax.

M: I used their “desk” and I totally recommend them. I was visiting the area and since the Wi-Fi at the hotel I was staying was somewhat slow and I was afraid that it wouldn’t show the video I had to present in the online meeting smoothly enough, I suddenly had to find a good Wi-Fi to make the meeting go well. I wasn’t sure if I could even talk at the desk and asked about it on the phone and Nadia was kind enough to answer all my questions. When I went there, at first, my laptop didn’t get connected with their Wi-Fi, but the staff was all helpful. I am happy I used their desk, and absolutely recommend them. Thank you, especially Nadia!

Nadia at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming. I couldn't have asked for more as an out-of-towner needing a place to work for the day.

J M: .Can't speak for the events since I haven't been to others, location is great, close to Bonaventure metro.Super auto machines with coffee, tea options, kombucha on tap 🙌 and sparkling water on tap as well.Printer system is easy to use.Wish there was compost and regular plates instead of wasteful paper plates. Wish desks had some adjustability in height.Didn't see snacks, and opening hours are a little restrictive. Kombucha and sparkling water open from 9-4pm is odd, maybe it's cuz someone needs to open/close it?Bike rack indoors on the 5th floor so it's safer than leaving it outside.Bravo for the feminin hygiène products in the women's washroom. Also the washrooms have closed toilet stalls and funky wallpapers on the ceiling. All nice touches.Overall, inspiring environment to be in.
