Dina Vincelli: My sister and I placed our Mom at the Residence in December 2022. We are both very pleased with the Residence. The staff is always friendly and attentive and most importantly very respectful to not only my sister and I, but of course most importantly to our precious Mom. Every time my sister and I visit and leave the residence, we do so with great piece of mind that our Mom is being extremely well taken care of. The residence’s owner Karen and her son Shaheed are always available to answer and tend to any of our queries and concerns about our Mom. Sheppard and James is A-1 in every way.
Tania Vincelli: I can’t say enough about this residency. They are amazing. The care givers are experienced and actually care about my mother. The administration team is efficient and is extremely helpful. I throughly recommend them.

Their amazing staff is fully engaged, compassionate and very kind and are a credit to their profession. We, as family were always welcomed as well and had peace of mind knowing our mom was well looked after.As an anecdote, when our mom once was driven to the hospital via ambulance, the paramedics were commenting about the cleanliness and how well organized the staff were. We couldn't say enough positive things about Sheppard and James.

Leona Fields: My mom has been living here for more than a year and a half and she is doing great! The caregivers are all very kind, friendly and well trained. She has dementia so doesn't really know what's going on or where she is, but always uses positive words to explain how she's doing when I talk to her. This has been a very safe place for her throughout the COVID pandemic.

Randy Mylyk: Convenient and helpful as a well-known community centre.
Hélène B: It is well maintained, very clean and we take good care of our elders. In any case, that's what I noticed since I go there about every 2 days. The staff is courteous and attentive, they take the time to hear what we have to say. I also find that when you come in, whatever the time of day, or from the floor, there is a clean smell, and that's something that I really appreciate. I also take my hat off to the people who greet us at the entrance. They are patient, it must be said that the visitors are not examples of virtue. ! Even me, who knows the instructions, regularly happens to be kindly put in order. I also take this opportunity to highlight the lack of respect, in particular, from delivery people, who refuse to disinfect their hands and wear a mask. I really want to bring to the attention of CHSLD managers the difficulty front-line staff have in being respected. I really think that these people need support so that we can consider stopping this epidemic. A big thank you to this team who really takes their work to heart, with good humor and kindness. I see it on every visit. My admiration for them is boundless, but will that be enough?Thank you for reading me, Thank you for letting the various staff know of my satisfaction with them.Helene
Emily L: My grandmother has just been accommodated there and at first I was a little skeptical about the idea, because of all the horror stories I heard about CHSLDs. However, this place is really good, the staff really listen to residents and really give their 100%, they are really caring and dedicated!

La Belle Mira: my mother has lived there for 5 years and they have always taken good care of her when she needed it, always listening and when you press the emergency button they are there within 5 minutes

The staff is competent, human, kind, dedicated and kind-hearted. They take very good care of our elders. I highly recommend this residence. Teresa Attallah: Very good residence. My mother stayed there for 7 years. She was independent at the beginning and she lost her autonomy over time. They adapt to the needs of residents. The atmosphere is very family-friendly and the food is good. They serve balanced meals with good snacks.

Mike Guiragossian: We decided to rent an apartment for our mother at Manoir Gouin as we received a warm welcome from Ms. Fanny Ruest, the leasing agent, a detailed tour of the premises and a clear explanation of the services offered and the related fees. Ms. Ruest took the time to show us several apartments and explained the different features. The building was clean and the staff friendly. We are convinced that our mother will be happy and well cared for her during her stay there.
