Toqué!: what do users think?

Jessie D'Aigle: Toqué is a culinary gem that truly delivers an exceptional dining experience through its "menu dégustation". From start to finish, this restaurant exuded excellence in service, presentation, and taste.Upon stepping into Toqué, we were greeted with impeccable service that set the tone for the evening. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcomed and at ease throughout the dining experience. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the seven-course tasting menu that proved to be a culinary journey like no other. Each dish was not only beautifully plated but also showcased a careful balance of flavors that left us wanting more. From the first bite to the last, every course was a delightful surprise, showcasing the chef's mastery in combining ingredients to create a symphony of taste. My girlfriend, Julie, and I were thoroughly impressed by the thoughtful execution of each dish and appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal. ... And the champagne pairing was excellent.

Isabel Carrier: , nice meeting with Normand Laprise

yx Sun: I had an incredible 3-hour experience with their 7-course tasting menu! My favorites were the beef steak, quail, and two desserts. The beef and quail were exceptionally tender, and the accompanying sauces were bursting with flavor. Both dishes had a divine aroma when they arrived. Even though I’m not usually a fan of sweet dishes, I thoroughly enjoyed their desserts. They struck a perfect balance, not overly sweet, and the sorbet with sponge cake combination was delightful. The meal began with a brown butter mousse amuse-bouche, followed by the sea urchin as the first course. While the brown butter mousse was delicious, the sea urchin lacked a bit of its distinctive flavor for my taste. Unfortunately, the complimentary bread was served cold and didn’t make much of an impression compared to the other outstanding dishes. The service was fantastic. They efficiently cleaned our table, and water and wine refills were prompt. However, I found the ambiance to be a bit noisy compared to Europea, where I had dined previously. Overall, it was a memorable night at this restaurant.

Restaurant Jérôme Ferrer - Europea: what do users think?

Cyril BECKER: and everything is tasty the flavour of each dish is well balanced. They have a great wine selection to match your menu. The steak sauce flambée is prepared right in front of you and you will feel the heat.

Organic World Club: Top-notch French restaurant in the heart of Montreal! If you’re looking for a special experience, Europea consistently delights with some of the best food and wine in the world. The best ingredients available turned into art for the eyes and taste buds combined with great service is what drives me to come back. Some of the menu highlights included fresh mint tea, onion soup served in an onion, lobster cappuccino, and more paired with phenomenal wines; also, eye watering variety of deserts — my personal choice for best desert was the maple cotton candy. The highlight of the wine pairing was a mistery wine served in black glass. It was of course outstanding in flavor but also unique in appearance.

Vlora Ahmeti: First of all, let me start with saying this is a dining experience. The presentation is very artistic and the flavors are delicate and to be savored. It's not the type of place to go if your interested is a warm, superfilling comfort meal. Atmosphere is beautifully decorated and has nice lighting. Service was excellent, special shout out to Valentino for humoring us. Would definitely recommend for the experience if you're in Montreal for a few days.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. Hard pressed to get children to eat these things.

Frederique Chezet: Gastronomic trip to Montreal at the table of Jerome Ferer "Europea"Magical, exceptional, gastronomic staging

P London: Exceptional.

Candide: what do users think?

Squirrel Friend: What an amazing restaurant. Tasting menu has a lot of quality and seasonal ingredients. The highlights of the meal for me were the crab and carrot dish as well as the mushroom oat porridge. I visited Montreal during the snow crab season, so the crab was out of this world. The porridge was savory and hearty. Service was attentive and friendly. The waitresses were so nice and sweet. One of the waitresses was also in charge of making cocktails, and the drink that I got was delicious. The restaurant is in the back of an old church and has a very unique vibe.

Caroline Duksta: . The staff was friendly and professional, balancing attentiveness while giving us space to enjoy our night seamlessly. The food was refreshing, thoughtful and surprising. I appreciate a slow deliberate meal, never feeling rushed nor forgotten. The smoked oysters were delightful and the sea bass was complimented perfectly with the mushrooms and fennel.

Swati S: Food is great. Honey at the end was such a special touch. The service is amazing: friendly, kind, fast between courses, but you don't feel rushed at all. Would definitely recommend Candide for a great night out with really delicious food.Vegetarian options: They were super understanding and accommodating to provide a vegetarian menu, especially with my added inconvenience that I can't eat mushrooms.Dietary restrictions: Very understanding and kind.

V. D.: . We had a great time

Javier Á. Nieto Moncó: Really nice experience overall. The place was cozy and welcoming, with a really intimate ambiance. The menu was five or six appetizer plates, and five or six main plates. Seeing other photos of the menu I guess they rotate the plate quite often. All the options were really appealing, and we are really happy with what we ordered. The price is expensive, but for a different restaurant experience it was nice. We really enjoyed it.Vegetarian options: There were no vegetarian options

Joe Beef: what do users think?

Robert Oliver: Fantastic dinner, probably the best we had on our trip. Had the seafood special appetizer with the aoli sauce which was incredible. Beef tartar was great too! Split the New York strip with the bone marrow. Cooked to perfection and so rich with the marrow also liked the side horse radish cabbage. Someone else got the lobster pasta which was outstanding! Enjoyed the lemon sorbet thoroughly!

Anick Globensky-Bromow: , cooked perfectly. Even the beer was perfect. I tried the babeigne au rhum for dessert. Will definitely go back to try what our table neighbors had, lobster spaghetti, which was a whole lobster on pasta! We spent 250$ for a shared meal with no appetizers, so expect to spend a little. Worth every penny!

BOUILLON BILK: what do users think?

Kayla Seider: My husband and I traveled to Montreal for our honeymoon and had the pleasure of dining at Bouillon Bilk. We had an incredible dining experience! The service was fantastic. Our waiter was very helpful and had a great personality. We had a oysters, scallops and the duck. The food was truly some of the best we've ever had. I am still dreaming about my scallops. We highly recommend this restaurant and hope to be back someday!

David: I do have an expectation that it'd be not just a very good experience but a great and/or excellent experience. A couple of things stood out to me in this regard. The starter bread came with butter, however the butter was still quite cold

Squirrel Friend: This place is simply amazing. The food is creative and delicious. The service is attentive and friendly. The vibe is casual and cozy. The highlight of my meal was the foie gras dessert. Yeah, it sounds kind of wrong but tastes extremely right. Almost like a banana foster with duck liver instead of ton of butter. Wine list is impressive as well. They serve d'yquem for dessert if someone is willing to drop major bucks.

Nicole Caico: Like almost all the other reviews here say, this place is fantastic. The tasting menu was amazing and the bottle of wine the sommelier helped us pick went well with everything. The restaurant is elegant, and all the staff are very friendly and professional.

Alexandre Talbot: to richer dishes

Simon Forest: We had the tasting menu with Canadian and European wine pairings. Each of the five courses was uniquely tasty and well balanced. Wines enhance the flavors of meals. The service was impeccable, with special mention to the sommelier who was very friendly.Great atmosphere.

JAMES Le Restaurant (formerly XO Le Restaurant): what do users think?

Mikey: We had a memorable meal at XO Le Restaurant when we visited Montreal. The decor and service were top notch, which was to be expected for the range of pricing though ambiance was a bit too formal for our liking. My plate of foie gras was well plated, but what stole the show was the sea bass which was pan seared to perfection. Even years since we had this meal, we still reminisce about that pan seared fish!

Dennis Beauchamp: Everything you could want in a restaurant

Soheil Mamani: delicious

Sheri Sanseverino: I loved this hotel and restaurant. Upscale and yet low key. The food is amazing. Order the French toast for breakfast, you won’t be sorry.

Kade Audain: James Le Restaurant is the best restaurant that exists in Montreal at a reasonable price. They are attentive and efficient. They provide the best service and they have a gorgeously decorated establishment. They offer rarities like gold flaked desserts and perfectly cooked filet mignon to your taste. It’s the only place I want to go for my birthday. It’s the only restaurant that deserves special occasions in my opinion. The food is absolutely delicious and when you leave you’ll feel like you ate like royalty. I am in love with this restaurant.

Juliette Fong: Fabulously insane great eatz drinks & service. Memorable evening

Shawn Qi: Pricey, but delicious. The restaurant is very fancy and the food quality is amazing!

Mahmoud Saleh: Incredible place

xavier fagalde: A very nice gastronomic experience.

Victory3: . The decor/ambiance is exquisite, the food was carefully/passionately presented, the flavors were very well balanced & the staff was very attentive. I ordered the 12oz aged rib steak which was flavorful, juicy & very tender. Compliments to the chef. Everyone had a great experience... thank you & keep up the great work/quality!

Ju Co: What an experience!DeliciousSuper friendly staffWarm and friendly atmosphere, without fussExcellent place for a special romantic date!

Melanie Qin: This restaurant pushes the boundaries of creativity to the next level. The extra effort in each dish is carefully crafted with intention and elegance. It seems like so many ingredients when the plate is presented, but they all work harmoniously together to give an impactful flavor that feels familiar yet totally unfamiliar at the same time. With the menu changing seasonally, it's without a doubt super enticing for me to go back to discover a whole new set of works of art. Because that's what it was... masterpieces!

Lavanya Kala: . They really took care of us and we had a great time. Strongly recommend a visit! Make sure you do the wine pairings.

Éliane Giasson: Superb experience! The staff is extremely attentive to us.The food and wine pairings were sublime, and the sommelier's explanations were very dynamic. We loved our experience!Thank you so much !

Raphaël Sylvestre Bouchard: , hardwood floors, a few discreet plants and original lamps and ceiling lights. Far from the formal chic of a hotel restaurant, you will agree. Additionally, when making the reservation, I was told that the dress code required business attire. Either. Everyone was well dressed, but following a more liberal and relaxed interpretation of the concept. However, the experience is filled with delicate touches that leave no doubt about the refinement of the place.Apart from the surprise born from my imaginative spirit, the total absence of a map gave us another one. We take the utmost care to ask ourselves if we suffer from any allergies or intolerances to ensure that the one and only 7-course menu

Le Mousso/Le Petit Mousso: what do users think?

Audrey Couture: Wow! Excellent food paired with various wines, each as good as the next. At first, we're not sure if we're going to go out and eat a Big Mac trio because of the portions, but no need! The flavors were a real delight in the mouth and a surprise with each new dish! Spring menu recommended! This was our first experience, we plan to try the menu every season. The only problem was that the music wasn't always representative of the place.Dietary restrictions: Listened to allergies, did not need to make a reminder and informed us of changes made as they happened

katie robitaille: An evening for 4, in April. The restaurant was full and they were introducing their spring menu.We liked the more casual atmosphere than some other large restaurants of the same type, with a more relaxed dress code. The table service is impeccable and attentive. The cuisine is sophisticated and the presentation careful. The flavors were so pleasant in the mouth. But in this same price range, we did not have the evening experience that we found in other great restaurants. The least favorite part of the evening was the wine pairing. They feature private imports taken from small batches of little-known grape varieties. But for $125, no one at the table fell in love or wanted more. It is not for nothing that certain great wines are well recognized around the world, it is because they are very popular. Perhaps an alternation between small producers and reliable values would help the experience. The amount of food was adequate, if you are not a big eater. For the quantity of alcohol in the glasses, I used my breathalyzer 20 minutes after my departure and I was at 0.00!One last downside, the pace of the services is dictated for the entire room and it is not possible to slow down if your appetite requires it.In short, one more x on my list of great restaurants to discover but I won't go back.

Didoudi: I had dietary restrictions and they made some really bold substitutions which is really appreciated! The butter is amazing!I absolutely loved my experience the food is extraordinary the service is impeccable. You are definitely having a good time

Jean-François Ouellet: but it's successful. The portions are reasonable for a 12 course, we ate our fill. Prices are comparable to other fine dining restaurants. We also appreciated the pay equity between the service and kitchen employees who share the tips.

Mitchel Baglivi: This special Montreal restaurant's food, service and purpose speak for themselves, as do the multitude of 5-Star reviews. From start to finish my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed each uniquely conceived and layered dish, and the comfortable, charming and well choreographed presentation, all balanced beautifully by the gracious and mindful sommelier whose knowledge is encyclopedic and recommendations spot-on.So, here, a genuine thank you and job well done Chef and the entire Le Mousso team.

Garde Manger: what do users think?

Emily Zimmerman: My husband, good friend and I had such a good time at garde manger while we were visiting from California. Montreal is famous for it's food and garde mangers reputation precedes it, but it was even better than we expected. The vibe of this place felt like it was bringing fine dining to a millenial crowd with the music and ambiance. And unlike many other fine dining establishments where the clientele skews much older, this place was packed with people between 25 and 40. The dress code ranged from smart casual to jeans. Our favorite part of the meal was how bilingual it is. My husband and friend are native French but fluent in English, so we tried using English for me. However, the meal used uncommon ingredients that they didn't know in English so our server was giving us a full rundown in English and French without missing a beat. She checked on us constantly and seemed to always have time for us despite having several other tables. It was pricy, but for a special experience or occasion you won't be disappointedVegetarian options: They'll customize the meal for vegetariansDietary restrictions: They'll customize the meal for dietary restrictions

Dawn Mist: Carpaccio de Boeuf X 3 all day. Phenomenal. More Chuck for the Buck. tattooed arms and hipster barber/lumberjack hair a plenty. bring your chainsaw and pipe.

Hollis Jones: Had such a great dinner last night at Garde Manger! We had the chef's plate.. Every course was spectacular. Expensive, but worth it for the experience.

Scellant Xtra: Maria and George its simply amazingThe service and execution are there, thank you for everything from the whole family

Doan Thai Hoa Tran: Top-notch seafood dishes and fabulous night at Milos.Everything we had was exceptional. I would recommend simply any items on their à-la-carte dinner menu.I had high expectations before coming due to their rich culinary heritage, and I was not disappointed. A super fancy restaurant with impeccable service from the beginning to the end definitely makes Milos a worthwhile choice for anyone who seeks a refined culinary as well as an exquisite dining experience.

A Bousi: Lunch Menu review.Reserve before you go, it gets busy.Choices of entrees on the Table d’Hote that I can remember: lentil soup, octopus, calamari and Greek salad. At our table we had the octopus which was good. The rest of us had Greek salads. They were ok.For the mains we had salmon and chicken brochettes. The chicken and fries were a huge hit. The salmon served with beans was ok.The tarama is good. For dessert we tried karidopita, galaktobouriko and Greek yoghurt. All ok.The mountain tea is delightful. The service was excellent. The price per person 45$. Good value. Worth going.

Craig Mckenzie: WOW.... ... WOW... TRULY one of the. Best.

Daniel schacter: Montreal classic. Great atmosphere, food and service. Not cheap but if you are looking for a great night out without it feeling pretentious, this is a top choice.Seafood platter was amazing!

白棺: From appetizers to desserts, everything is amazing! The waiter was kind and patient, and introduced every option on and off the menu in great detail. The cleaning, water replenishment and tableware replacement between meals were all very important! The sauce that goes with the raw scallops is moderately sweet and sour, and it's more than enough to satisfy your appetite. The common appetizer of tartar beef can also taste the chef's special seasoning! For the main course, we tried the most popular lobster pasta and steak. The chef's cooking skills were very precise on these two dishes, especially the steak's heat control to create layers!Even on weekdays, it is highly recommended to book a table online! It’s sure to be a satisfying dinner memory!

GL Francesco: I recently visited Liverpool House in Montreal and had a fantastic experience! The ambiance was charming, and the service was top-notch. Although parking was limited on the street, it was well worth it for the delicious food and excellent wine selection. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in the city!

Eric Levac: Succulent flank steak and fries... Tender and juicy. The Hostess a pearl 😜Be careful, cost a little high but quality

Jeff Jedras: At the top of my list were the famed sister restaurants Joe Beef and Liverpool House, which are well known Montreal institutions but which I, like many, had become familiar with via the late Anthony Bourdain. Liverpool House is also where Justin Trudeau once took Barrack Obama for dinner once.Joe Beef was filled up a few weeks in advance but I was able to snag a reservation for one at the bar on a Thursday evening at Liverpool House. And I figured, if it's good enough for Obama it should be OK for me.They have an often-changing menu that varies with the seasons, as well as some regular specialities. They are known for the lobster spaghetti so I had my mind on that going in, but seeing the market price on this day I decided it was just too rich for my blood. I considered the Pork Belly Normandy briefly but, in the end., went with the French bistro classic of steak frites, medium-rare.As an aside, I have decided to try to switch my steak preference from medium to medium-rare, and this as the first time actioning this. While waiting for my dinner I accepted a recommendation for a nice glass of red, made small talk with my neighbor who seemed to work in the restaurant industry and know the staff here, and politely declined the offer to do a shot with them. My neighbour lamented the chef refused to make him a ham and cheese sandwich; I suggested he order it as a Croque Monsieur instead and he thought this may work.I'll handle the sides first. The veg was a wedge of lettuce dressed with a light vinaigrette. The dressing was good but, while it's popular in fancy restaurants, I find this a lazy way to make a salad. I'm not a big fry guy. These had some crisp and were well-salted, and with the mayo I enjoyed them. The steak was served sliced and in a sauce, and was cooked as ordered. It was flavourful and tasty and I savoured every bite. The simple things done well are enjoyable indeed.I'll try to be back my next time in Montreal for sure. A good meal to start my culinary long weekend.

X x: This is my second time coming back to ithq. Both times, I ordered the tasting menu. All courses were tasty. Of course I had preferences over others. With that said, this is a great experience if you want to try experimental foods, impeccable services in a warm atmosphere *at more affordable prices compared to pure tasting restaurants*Both times were a 2.5-3 hour experience.

Cameron C: Food is excellent. Impeccable service. We enjoyed it very much.

Charles Therrien: Our experience at the ITHQ restaurant in Montreal was simply exceptional! We were delighted with our lunch, carefully prepared by Pasquale Vari's team. Each dish was a true delight for the taste buds, showcasing the creativity and culinary expertise of the team. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the impeccable service added a touch of refinement to our experience. Additionally, we were pleasantly surprised when we were offered Crepes Suzette for dessert, a nice touch that perfectly concluded this memorable meal. A truly unforgettable moment!

Gaby Lacatus: Everything to the maximum quality, cuisine, service, atmosphere. To refer...Gaby and Guy

Genoveffa Fiorin: Next to the Saint-Louis square, eating at the ITHQ is a gastronomic experience full of local flavors. We went there for a birthday and it was a delicious gift to give yourself. The wine list is diverse. It’s very popular with Montrealers and I recommend making reservations. The service is excellent and they are attentive to any request.

Millot Clement: Really nice place with French service. We had the guest menu and the dishes were very good.I recommend the restaurant for this dining experience. I will go back there very soon.

Adèle Piveteau: Best culinary experience! It was an amazing journey from arrival to departure. We tasted a menu around ART and it was such a fantastic idea. Wine pairing was amazing and we had the opportunity to try wine from different country! Thank you to the entire team! We had a very special time, and even an extra birthday cake!

Yathu Karunailingam: This place is amazing!!!!!

Matt Brown: We loved our experience at Pastel! It was our last night for vacation in Canada and the team there did not disappoint. Louie greeted us and brought us to our table. Fiona, the sommelier, was incredible and recommended the perfect wine. Mike, our server, offered amazing tips along the way for our 6 course tasting menu. Alex provided fun banter while bringing dishes throughout the night.Highly recommended!!

Leopold Boutin: What a wonderful wolrd!!!Thank you Fiona, Olivier and Simonthe chef is outstandingI am just thrilled go back.We have loved the experience, the service and ambiance, Maryse and Léopold xxx

Adrien Pajot: .The cuisine was almost the same

Yi-Chieh Chen: . We went with 6-course.😋 The meal kicked off with an amazing amuse-bouche.The chawanmushi that follows was less exciting, because the kombu sauce tasted a tad sweet for my liking. The shiitake was tasty though. The venison carpaccio was eye-opening 🤩 didn’t know that venison could be so tender and scrumptious. The brioche was buttery soft. The dish melted in my mouth in a most satisfying manner. The black cod was good, but the star of this dish was the cream sauce. I devoured the sauce with the sourdough bread 😋I’m not a fan of quail in general, so the dish did not stand out to me. I do remember the foie gras being delicious. We had a special risotto dish because we were still hungry 🐷 and it was the absolute highlight of our dinner. Perfectly al dente and the ultimate comfort food. The desserts wrapped up the meal beautifully. Particularly loved the marinated strawberry and soft chocolate sponge cake.Overall the food was enjoyable. Every dish feels very thoughtfully crafted in terms of the flavor complexity. While portions erred on the small side for us, this is fairly standard for fine dining.✨ So deeply grateful for the exceptional service. Definitely one of the best restaurant service I have experienced. The servers were genuinely kind and friendly in their interactions, and really went above and beyond to make sure that we are enjoying the food AND full at the end 🙏 merci beaucoup!Appreciate the attention to my husband’s gluten allergy and making substitutions 🙏🍷 Diverse wine selection. We scored a fantastic bottle of local pet nat orange 🍋 they have two wine pairing options

ELaughrea: Outstanding and beautiful dining experience. A delight for all the senses. We had the caviar with the buckwheat blinis as an extra with the tasting menu. I'm still dreaming of it. I recommend for a special occasion.

Ben Pruitt: Best testing menu I’ve had to date. Very inventive and delicious! I had the wine pairing and the sommelier was wonderful. The entire waitstaff was engaging and gregarious. We enjoyed every minute of our meal.Recommended dishes Bao Bun, Mushroom Dish …

Derrek Nador: Update April 2024, as good as ever! Wine list, service and food were 5 stars. If you want to splurge on a special occasion this is a top spot in Montreal to do so! Superb service and food. The food speaks for itself. Fresh ingredients, delishious dishes with great flavors. The service is some of the friendliest, most bilingual ive had recently. Could be a little over bearing if you dont want someone checking in on you very often, but for me it added to the night. Duck appetizer, the duck main and the roasted quail.

Marky Marc: Beef tartare was way too salty, couldn't taste anything else. Bacon wrapped rabbit was delicious. Shucked snow crab special was great, so much easier to eat. Brussel sprouts had a nice sauce. Hibiscus ice cream sandwich was perfect, though not sure why it was wrapped up like a soap bar. Great music selection. Excellent service. House martini was like a Lemon Drop, definitely enjoyable. The recommended Cabernet red was a great accompaniment.
