Mr. Mac: I just got off the phone with the folks at Montreal piano and felt that I just had to write a review. For some time I have been seriously thinking about buying a piano for our kids to take lessons.I found a beautiful piano that looks amazing. It’s older and has been lacking in care. I know that for it to be in top shape I will have to invest some more money into it. I did a little research and learned a good deal about the instrument and perhaps what it might need. Now I need a professional to take on the job. I spoke to a few people who werenot helpful at all and then I reached Montreal piano. I had all my questions answered in detail and was notified of different options in our quest to bring this special instrument back to life. I could tell the knowledge they posses is due to the many many years they have been in business. Our children are young and we feel that this is an investment in their character and their future. I have a feeling this piano will be part of our lives for a long time to come. I also have a feeling the piano will be in good hand when it’s made to sound new again. The piano is being picked up this weekend. As someone that has worked in the service industry for years, I appreciate when people apply great service to whatever it is that they do.

Megan Smith: We've had their gentlemen come for a piano tuning, and also assisting with a move.The tuning was excellent, and they even advised us about a tricky key that was likely to sour again soon. The piano is from 1920, so this was not unexpected.The move was very reasonably priced for an 800 pound beast, and they were so gentle with our piano that it barely needed to be tuned when it was delivered! They moved regular furniture as well as the piano, and were extremely polite.

With a very rigorous customer approach and remarkable punctuality, the operation was carried out with discretion and professionalism that can be described as reassuring. His in-depth knowledge of the piano, both musical and mechanical, is immediately evident. So 10/10 at Piano technique Montreal.
Hsin Chiang: I own a grand piano that's over 25 years old, and I finally started noticing some quirks in the action that gradually became increasingly bothersome. After some regular tuning and voicing work, Nicolas and Allan both recommended full regulation, taking care to explain all of the technical details. Because full regulation is quite an extensive job, taking two full days, I spent about a year considering the time and costs. Allan and Nicolas never pressured me at all, and they simply presented the explanation and motivation in a neutral way, letting me make the decision on my own time. I ultimately decided to proceed with the full regulation, and I cannot overstate how grateful I am to Allan and Nicolas for their outstanding work. Both of them are brilliantly skilled at fine-tuning the mechanics of the piano. It was an absolute joy to watch their work, which was both precise and guided by deep-seated intuition. It is obvious from the way they treat instruments that they do their work for the pure love of music. I'm delighted to say that following their regulation work, my piano plays like a completely new instrument, which vastly improved responsiveness, dynamic range, sound quality, etc. I would give many more than 5 stars in this review if I could, and I enthusiastically recommend Piano Technique Montreal to any piano owner!

Before the tuning, my piano sounded very noisy and had a few keys that were sticky. It sounded so unpleasant to play. After the appointment, my piano sounded brand new! It now has a beautiful melody when I play. I can see, hear and feel the difference. My family is super happy about the piano and the service given by Allan! It definitely motived us to play more now that our piano sounds harmonious. Plus, it shows that Allan is a professional at piano because he fixed all the little subtle details like our pedal who was squeeking. Steve Castellano: One of my favourite music stores in Canada. They no longer have a physical location in my city but I still shop with them regularly online. I recently bought an "open box" pair of studio headphones that arrived without the mini-to-quarter inch adaptor. I sent them an email and they replied immediately, and the part was in my mailbox the next day. Great selection, excellent service.
