오승환: As a summer camp activity, I changed clothes and played with my friends in the locker room of the skating rink next door once a day. There was also a diving pool next to it.There was a pool just for children, but there were a lot of bugs in the water in the summer, so I had to avoid it at times, so it was a bit hectic.

Linda Thompson: Stayed for a conference. Meeting rooms were as expected for a large hotel.The guest room layout consists of several towers and levels - requiring the use of escalators and various elevators. Some of the attendees were in different towers.The bar was great at night for connecting.The second floor where we had our cocktail party was super hot …. Too warm for mixing up a hundred people.The escalator was down for one day. Nice to have it fixed second day.Beds were comfortable and I loved the duvet.

Robert Oszust: Made the trip during the solar eclipse. The hotel was very accommodating. The staff were very polite providing bell hop and valet services that one would expect from going to a well run hotel. The area that the hotel finds itself in is a college town which has plenty of near-by amenities. Would be happy to visit again.Rooms: Rooms were clean and spacious.Nearby activities: Surrounded by a lot of restaurants in easy walking distance as well as a scenic mountain overview a short hike away.Walkability: Very walkable with sidewalks and street access all around.

Middle of the road pricing it seems. Rooms were decent. Spacious and adequate for 2 guests. Bathroom was a nice size with a tub/shower combo. Cleanliness in the room could've used some slight improvement.. I found some miscellaneous hairs on my pillows and bed sheets when I first arrived. Bathroom tub dripped continously. Bathroom could've been a bit cleaner. Views are pretty lackluster, but it is in the city after all. Room temp seemed good and the thermostat worked fine. Mini fridge was nice to keep food stored. Room overall was a bit dated and rough around the edges, but it got the job done while visiting. Not disappointed as a whole.

Never have I seen someone juggle limes, shots, and sass with such zest. His mixology skills are as refreshing as his signature sangria he blessed us with upon arrival. If you're looking for a bartender who can stir up a good time, Jalapeño is your guy. Guaranteed to turn any sour day into a spicy night. Definite hangover tomorrow but it will be worth it. He was always there to answer my questions and book my reservations at any of the top restaurants and bars in the city. Jim Sammons: Stayed here in April and had a great time. The hotel is in a great location - very close to shopping and food. Loved the restaurant on site - the breakfast was fantastic. We had a Loft Suite room, which was large and fantastic. We would definitely stay here again.Walkability: Easy to walk to everything in downtown Montreal.
Dawn Kirchner: First things first, Montreal is an incredible city. My stay is never long enough. The Renaissance downtown hotel is equally incredible. Beautiful decor, great location, clean, and the staff, from the front desk to the restaurant are exceptional. So friendly, helpful & accommodating. The food is great, too. I only had breakfast at the hotel but the latte and classic pancakes were delicious! Can’t wait to visit Montreal again and I’ll definitely be staying at the Renaissance.

Downside: no toothpaste or lotion, a letdown for a hotel in this price range. Parking's underground, set me back $35+tax/night. City parking's an option too, good for quick stops. And it only got better as the time went on. From Irene at the front desk to Guillaume in the Palm Court bar/restaurant, everyone was exemplary at their job and went above and beyond.As grand as this over-a-century-old building is, the rooms are fresh, contemporary and state-of-the-art. They feel individual and personal, with none of the cookie-cutter quality that even top luxury chains are falling prey to these days.I can’t recommend this hotel enough — it is truly one of the most special places we have stayed.Safety: Security is excellent. You need a hotel key to access the elevator and the key only provides access to your floor.Food & drinks: Try the RC cocktail at the Palm Court! It’s next level

Laura Grenier: Beautiful location for a business trip close to services and several restaurants. The rooms are clean and the service is impeccable. Please note, you absolutely must go to the Bivouac restaurant which is located on the same floor as the hotel reception.Rooms: My room was very practical. I had a bed, of course, a desk and a couch. Very practical for a professional trip.

Jo Marion: Lovely neighbourhood pool. Clean locker rooms, showers and bathrooms. My only negative point is the amount of boys in the ladie's locker room. Cut off age is 8 but I've often seen 12 year old boys accompanying their mothers. Adult swim times are wonderful.

Nicolas Koeppe: and on the way up to the 7th floor I was greeting with a room that was perhaps a bit spartan, however spotless and smelled great. My room had no carpet which I appreciated.Bathroom was well appointed with all of the essentials. Towel: present and somewhat scratchy vs soft but crisp and amply supplied. Furniture & equipment were in good order and showing some age but well cared for. Plug & play equipment for my tech could use an upgrade but the essentials were all there. If you're planning on working for a few hours like I was, the task chair may change your mind.How was the night? The room was quiet, the hall was quite, the hvac was moderate

We came early and Luis allowed us to check in early and was always helpful, by far he made this trip a lot less stressful. Hotel is very close to the Bell Centre and the metro, i'd recommend this to anyone who decides to stay in Montreal !!

I know hotels are managed to be clean, but Le Nouvel is on another level. As soon as you walk in, the lobby, common areas and rooms smell clean. And they are!Location of the hotel is close to a number of restaurants and attractions. The Bell center is just a few blocks away and the Montreal casino is a quick cab ride away too.Rooms are updated with modern furniture and fixtures with sleek design cues that are bright and clean. Beds are firm with the right amount of give that produce a great night's sleep.Parking is on-site, although a little pricy, is very convenient.Staff work hard in maintaining the hotel to a standard that will bring me back when in town.

Rob L: Had a good experience overall. Now that we have checked out, they continue to send updated room reports adding charges for food that we never had. We drank 1 can of wine and 1 bottle of Pellegrino carbonated water. No food!Guests, I suggest you take before and after pictures to protect them from taking advantage of you.Update: I called the front desk and they refunded the Pringles charge. 👍
