Pati O.B: The food here was absolutely delicious. The grilled octopus and the patatas bravas were my absolute favorite!! But anything we tried was so good. The paella was 10/10! Best one I've had in Montréal so far. Their deserts were equally as exquisite. The staff was also really attentive and helpful when we had questions. I will definitely be going back when I get the chance!

Casa Galicia Restaurant: what do users think?

Jianglong Li: The real hidden gem in the heart of quartier latin of Montreal, tasty food comes in a very generous portion, charming yet authentic decoration, splendid Flamenco performance, amazing Sangria…you got all fabulous ingredients to bake an unforgettable evening. We especially appreciated the delicate and welcoming service from George and Felio. Our only regret was not being able to try their dessert…we are quite certain they must be exquisite.

jorge costa: Excellent ambiance, decor, music, food & service. It was a great experience. The grilled octopus one of the best We had a great cava to go with everything. The tapas in the appetizer section the Garlic shrimps WOW the paella Galicia was amazing ,I recommend this restaurant with excellent unique decoration and taste to everyone looking for a Medditerranean experience in Montreal

Alexander Aldereguia: a super cheerful place with a good atmosphere, they are very professional in their work and as a customer the treatment is excellent, both in person and by telephone, they are always attentive to details. My recommendations for anyone looking to have a good dinner. as a couple or with friends, also for those who like to be alone, arriving is super elegant and not to mention their dance showParking: It's a bit difficult to find a parking space because the place is too busy. but with luck you can catch it like I did after doing several rounds

F captnfab2000: Loyal to this restaurant for more than 10 years, Tino & Maria and their staff warmly welcome you to this magnificent restaurant with Spanish decor which makes the experience with the food even more tasty, delicious and on point. Try their multitude of versions of exquisite paella prepared according to the Spanish tradition. You will have the choice of accompanying your dish with one of the Spanish wines from their well-stocked wine list, which has nothing to envy with Italian wines and French wines. The service is fast, efficient and attentive by the staff who ensure that you have the most pleasant and enjoyable time.

Lisiane Maccari Coaching: A real nice surprise! We took the discovery menu for 2 and enjoyed the octopus salad with paella. Everything was very fresh, tasty and well seasoned. The family and professional service, the icing on the cake the flamenco moment, a dancer, a guitarist nothing better to come out with a heart full of sunshine.A must in Montreal for people who love authentic places.

Nathalie Moreau: First time at this restaurant. I loved. We are welcomed like family. Server respectful and warm at the same time. Excellent typical cuisine. We got the discovery menu for 2 including a delicious paella. I don't always pay attention to that, but cleanliness stood out to me. The fan in the bathroom was not filled with dust, the chandelier in the bathroom had no dead insects inside and the chandelier in the dining room had very translucent clear glass chandeliers. . We went there at 6 p.m. before a show at St-Denis and we were only 2 couples in the restaurant, it was also pleasant. No hubbub. People tended to arrive around 7:30 p.m. Very nice experience.

Montreal Paella: what do users think?

Andree Andoura: We were looking forward to coming and tasting authentic Spanish cuisine ever since I heard about it with my family.A most pleasant welcome, a perfect menu that suits all tastesFresh dishes, concocted with love and passion.Gazpacho, a pure delight of freshness and creaminessThe ink paella a first but not last for me.And what can I say to finish with fresh, slightly sweet flan?We appreciated everything even the very very reasonable bill for the quality of the food imported from SpainMuchas Gracias

Ramón Rafael Manso Dorta: Super 👍

Vicente Javier García Gimeno: We are Spaniards from Valencia living in Canada and it is the first time that we have dared to eat in a Spanish restaurant where they cook paellas. I have to say that the food was perfect, authentic and made us feel at home. For starters we had some patatas bravas, croquettes and torreznos, all impressive. Then for lunch we ordered a paella and it was delicious, real paella, original and quality, like the ones in Valencia!! I really got excited eating it. The service and treatment has been 10! Highly recommended, if you are in Montreal do not hesitate to go eat there. Many thanks for everything.

Yolanda Mercader Mateo: Never thought we would find a place in Canada with real Spanish food, specially a truly authentic paella. We’re Spanish, specifically from Valencia, so we were gladly impressed by all the food we ordered. Almost cried out of happiness when we tried the “croquetas de jamón”!!The service was really kind and welcoming, overall it’s been a fantastic experience. If you want to taste our rich gastronomy, please don’t miss out on this place!!PS: Muchas gracias por el servicio y la oportunidad de sentirnos como en casa al otro lado del océano!!

Alba González Chofre: Authentic spanish food, this place is sooooo good. Best paella in Canada and service is wonderful. Real food, all homemade and fresh ingredients. Couldn't ask for more. Muy contenta de que la cultura y gastronomía de mi país se divulguen de esta manera. ¡Gracias!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free paella

Ana Lucia Marquez: The food was fantastic!!! We had a beautiful evening. Thank you so much.

Felipe Antonio Enriquez Rodriguez: As a summary I can say that it is my favorite place to eat in Montreal. I am Cuban and my mother used to make croquetas often at home and although there is a difference between Cuban and Spanish croquetas, somehow the croquetas from this place take me back to my home in Cuba. My wife and I have tried many of the dishes and they are wonderful, carefully prepared and packed with flavor. Chef Mariano's service is excellent. I love this place.--As a summary I can say that it is my favorite place to eat in Montreal. Pyrénées: what do users think?

E S (Gerb): A Culinary Symphony at "Pyrenees market cuisine"Nestled in the heart of old Montreal, Pyrenees beckons with promises of culinary bliss and an ambiance that dances between modern chic and timeless elegance. Upon stepping inside, one is enveloped in an atmosphere that whispers of refinement and invites you to savor every moment. The star of the show? The chef's masterpiece: the "Cassoulet à la Toulousaine, canard confit, saucisse, agneau et jarret de porc". From the first bite, it's evident that each element of this dish has been meticulously crafted to perfection. The lamb, delicately seared to golden perfection, boast a tender texture that practically melts in your mouth, while the sausage provides a decadent contrast of earthy flavors that dance harmoniously on the palate. But it's not just the food that delights the senses; it's the entire experience. The attentive waitstaff move with grace, ensuring that every need is met without intruding on the diners' enjoyment. The soft lighting and tasteful decor create an ambiance that is both intimate and inviting, making it the perfect setting for an unforgettable dining experience. In summary, Pyrenees market cuisine is a culinary oasis where every dish is a work of art and every moment is savored. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking an escape from the mundane, this establishment promises a symphony of flavors that will leave you craving an encore. My wife and I are newcomers to this place, but we're pleasantly surprised when we meet another couple who highly recommended it. Coincidentally, they've visited multiple times with different groups, and the place has never failed to impress.

Ron Kubek: A must when visiting Montreal. Joey met as at door and invited us in. Dorothy was an awesome server and Joey checked in regularly. Go for Grilled calamari vs fried. It was epic!. Paella was very authentic and tasty and the wine recommendation was perfect. The atmosphere is lovely and I can only imagine the summer and being outside. Thanks for a great dinner and make sure you visit when in Old Town. One of our favorites

YC Finishing: I recommend it to anyone who is hesitating between local restaurants:

Lu Lu: Boca Iberica in my opinion excels in everything.Staff and service are amazing.Food : high quality and fair portions.Ambiance : a cozy environment where we can talk to each other without screaming. The music at the background is just in the right volume.

Nick Pr: Went here for lunch and had a great one! Very nice food, great service, and a very pleasant atmosphere.Had the fish and chips and enjoyed it. Will definitely return.

Danbee Kim: This eatery is a concealed treasure nestled in the heart of Montreal. The cuisine, particularly their grilled squid and paella, was delightful. The service was exceptional; our server was incredibly friendly and hospitable. Finding family-friendly restaurants is challenging, but this spot stands out among the few. I strongly endorse this place and look forward to returning.

Bo' Dégât: what do users think?

maude menard: Another wonderful Catalan evening, for a moment that transports us to Spain 🇪🇸 👌Thanks again to Carmen & the whole team for this treat!!

Lyne Leblanc: The owner moves from cooking in the morning to serving in the evening.Everything is cooked and served with love!

Marie L: .The service was amazing, everyone was friendly and efficient. Maybe that's because we were close to the kitchen but I could tell that people were made to be very stressed though. I think there was really no reason to be under so much pressure. I can't talk for everyone of course but I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't mind waiting a bit more if it meant that you guys can breath better. The atmosphere was pleasant. Not too noisy, you get to actually talk to your date which is nice. The only real negative note I had were the bar stools. It's just not high enough relatively to the bar to be comfortable and by the second half of my meal, I had to stand up and finish the meal standing because my back was killing me and it didn't bring me lower than when I was on the stool anyway. My advice would be to buy taller & more comfortable stools + install a bar foot rest.

Zoé Krisko: I ADORE !!!!Bo’Dégât is the restaurant where I like to bring my loved ones to discover original dishes and to have a great evening.Already, the place is magnificent. There is a superb mural reminiscent of Spain. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate. The dishes are really delicious! I REALLY recommend the ajo blanco and the patatas bravas.Since these are small dishes, you can choose to have a full meal or take a few bites, so it can be quite affordable depending on how many tapas you decide to have.

Yannick Wolfe: Food and service are great, really! Quality ingredients and everything is always prepared perfectly. That said, some portions are a bit small for the price so your bill can go up quite fast.Small restaurant so the atmosphere is great without being too noisy or loud.Highly recommend.

Philippe Vinot: Small restaurant serving a nice variety of tapas dishes.Varied offering and distinct flavors, everything was tasty.Warm and efficient service from the owner, Señora Carmen, and her team.Nice selection of wines.A good bill, certainly, but a very nice experience!I recommend.

Nathalie Benavente Pastor: We were really totally satisfied, impressed and fascinated with the food, service and atmosphere....thousand points...in every moment and detail of the attention provided by Chef Carmen at Bo' Dégât...we ordered Calamari, Galician Octopus, Spanish omelette and the specialty of the week and for dessert the Ganache....I really am left with the satisfaction of returning again...many congratulations and I recommend it without hesitation!!!! Thank you Carmen...an excellent person!!! And excellent culinary experience!!

Shaiika Mirville: Great experience! The food was delicious. Great plus for the waitress 😊Parking: On the street

Janelle Allard: is knowledgeable, friendly and makes great cocktails, and lastly food: outstanding fish and taco with simmered beef. The El Pastor is okay but lacks a caramelized/sweet sauce

Hugo Désilets: Accompanied by a little spicy sauce, the al pastor tacos I ordered were incredible. Unfortunately, the Tuesday tacos were not adaptable to my sweetheart's vegetarian palate. His taste buds still delighted in scallop tapas. These are a bit too mayonnaise.Overall 82% kisses

CUIYUN Dillon (Y): Excellent service,Antony really took care of me throughout the whole dinner. He even heat up my food after I went to the bathroom. Not recommend the snails, but highly recommend the duck and figs. Clam is too salty. Bread so so not ready baked. Carbene is good.Recommended dishes …

SK MTL: . We came here after the Aura show at Notre Dame Bascilica. Overall, a good restaurant.

Suzette Sequeira: Enjoyed traditional Portuguese cuisine in Montreal! Had the pleasure of meeting the owners! They were so gracious! They spoke to us in Portuguese!Family owned restaurant! Celebrating 51 years in 2023!Highly recommend!Thank you for a lovely dining experience on our last night in Montreal!

Scott Looney: Great Portugeuse/French restaurant in old Montreal. The food was delicious, I had a sur la mer style pasta and my wife had a beautifully cooked salmon and shrimp over rice. Plenty of fresh baked bread and several rounds of drinks. The service was equally good, an older gentleman got to know us a bit was a big hockey fan knowing players from our home town team from back in the 70's, lol. Stop here you won't regret it. Sadly the only photo I took was our view from the table.

Bar Tapas Taza Flores: what do users think?

Jessy Bergeron-Boisvert: Amazing food and atmosphere!Quality/quantity ratio is very good too!To try and adopt 🙌🏼

Justine Soucy: Finally got to try this place after years of living nearby and I should've visited earlier! We got the sharing menu as we were a big group and it's perfect because you get to try a big variety of meals to share and the portions are bigger than you would expect. Everyone was very full after all the food. It's hard to pick a favourite dish because they were all so good. The service is very friendly and they take the time to explain the dishes as you get them and are very attentive. Lots of seating too so this place is absolutely ideal for big groups who wanna share food. If you have someone who has allergies or is vegan/vegetarian however, the tasting menu cannot be changed so that is a bummer. IfThey do have some vegetarian options in the sharing menu but not a lot so keep in mind to check with your group prior to picking this place if the sharing menu works for everyone. You can also definitely order the meals yourself and not go for the group menu but I found the group menu great because we got a taste of everything and we didn't have to worry about not having enough.

Han Solo: Went on a Friday night, cozy place, I loved it, the staff were all extremely polite and courteous, didn’t bother me or rush me to order anything, explained everything they had offered on menu, music was not loud, and 2 TVs had sports on, for someone that hasn’t been frequenting downtown due to the pandemic, this place is a such place that I’d go back to! Btw, I asked for a light beer, I can’t remember the name but it was good! I will definitely have it again next time I’m back! Thanks!

Café Vasco Da Gama: what do users think?

Sudeep Chaturvedi: Cafe that serves lunch sandwiches, omelettes and wine! Great location close to Peel Metro station. I didn't like their seating though, the high tables that are towards the back are really small and unstable. In fact a customer next table accidentally dropped and broke a coffee cup too. The food was okay and the coffee was good. Good variety and options to choose from but place is bit on the pricier side.

Tamara Herrera Sanchez: Rich and forceful. You must order a sandwich in one sector and then the coffee in another sector.

Tariq Alhammouri: Without a doubt, the best café in town! The staff is exceptionally friendly, and I've been a loyal customer for years. A must-visit café for anyone in the area. Keep up the fantastic work—I'm already looking forward to my next visit.Kid-friendliness: They made sure to say hello to my daughter and asked her few questions about her toy.

Barraca Rhumerie: what do users think?

Carla G: Very good cocktails

Màk Çÿmë Rìčhë ćhãr: One day, **the Barraca** organized an absurd dance competition. Participants had to imitate dancing fruits. 🍌🍍The first candidate, **Mr. Banana**, started with enthusiasm. He made jerky movements, twisted in all directions and ended up rolling on the ground. The audience applauded, thinking that he had successfully captured the essence of the dancing banana. Then, **Madame Pineapple** entered the scene. She waddled gracefully, arms in the air, as if she were growing a crown. The spectators were perplexed. Was it really a pineapple or a diva in the middle of an existential crisis? Finally, **Mr. Watermelon** appeared. He started spinning around with his arms outstretched, shouting, "I'm a watermelon in juicer mode!" The audience burst out laughing. No one knew if it was the watermelon or the rum that was making his head spin. Finally, the jury declared **Mr. Watermelon** the winner. He received a trophy in the shape of a half-full glass, filled with sangria. Everyone toasted, and the party continued until early morning. And this is how **Barraca** became famous for its fruity dances and exotic cocktails. If you pass by, don't forget to say hello to **Mr. Watermelon** in juicer mode! 🍉🕺🏼

Captain Ax: I had been there three times in last couple of months with friends and we enjoyed it a lot every single time. The barmaid who did our cocktails knows what he is doing. The DJ who did the music made it our night very enjoyable. It was the same DJ the last time and this time it was karaoke and we had a blast. The ambiance is very nice too. Only problem I wish it was a bit bigger place. Other than that, great place. Keep the great job!
