Theo, our tattoo artist, delivered exceptional work. Despite my boyfriend opting for a sizeable rib cage tattoo, notorious for its pain, he sailed through the process thanks to the numbing cream provided. I got a small tattoo on the side of my wrist. Theo made sure I was comfortable and made the whole experience fun and painless. I’m already planning to go back for my next masterpiece.

- The Administrator -: I came for a tattoo a few months ago, had an interesting experience.I first heard of the artist I booked with when I met someone who had a wonderfully done tattoo. I asked him about it, and he recommended an artist from this shop. I messaged said artist and booked with her.On the day of the appointment, I made sure to be on time and to bring a gift for the artist, as I always do when I get tattoos. Everyone at the shop was lovely and super nice, so I didn’t mind the rather long wait before the artist came to see me. She was also very friendly and nice. She showed me the design she had made, which looked good but not the style I was going for. It’s always awkward to refuse a first draft, but I let her know what I wanted and happily waited for another hour or so while she made a second design.After some back and forth, I settled with a drawing that looked good to me. We did the stencil and she had me look at it in the mirror. At the time, I had waited for so long that at first glance it seemed fine to me and I approved it. It was also in an awkward area to look at when standing in front of the mirror, so I couldn’t get a good look at it without twisting my body in an uncomfortable position.On a side note, someone brought their dog into the shop and it was left unsupervised for a while. It came into my booth, and although it was cute, I was left wondering whether it could be a sanitary issue.After we had finished the piece, I paid and left a tip. However, the receipt I got indicated an incorrect amount for the cash I handed over, missing 20$ which was part of the extra I gave to tip the artist. Probably the guy miscounted or entered the wrong amount. I brought it up to the front desk guy, but he said he had no way to verify the amount now that the money was in the register already. I do hope that they sorted it out and my artist got tipped the right amount.When I got home, it had occurred to me that the piece was completely wrong as it was inverted, as the stencil had not been flipped. I was mortified, but it was already too late. The artist said that she was going on vacation after this, but offered to correct the mistake after she comes back. I declined, because I frankly don’t see how a completely inverted tattoo could be corrected. It was ultimately my fault for not realizing it when I checked the stencil in the mirror, even though I expected that the stencil would be flipped as it is standard for tattoos.Overall, the atmosphere was friendly and the shop looked clean. I still think about my mistake tattoo every day, but as I said it was on me for not being thorough enough.
