David Astrof: This book shop is a sweet established Montreal Enterprise. It is as good as many of the bigger stores and better than most. I've enjoyed coming here for a long time. I don't usually give a review for any place that I wouldn't give five stars to. In this case, my four-star review has to do with something that most might consider insignificant. With the fact that Amazon has taken over as the biggest book distributor in the world, it seems odd that a small independent bookstore would not compete on a relatively inconsequential matter - offering a bag of some sort with which to carry one's purchases out onto the street, especially when the weather is inclement. The cost of the books that I bought was significantly more than I would have paid had I chosen to order online and those books would have come well packaged. I suspect that many people will still enjoy browsing in book shops like I do but, when they find something that they'd like to own, they may just take note of the book and order through Amazon. If I had planned to come to the bookstore, I would have brought a bag for my purchases. This was an impromptu visit. So, if I hadn't been miffed at not being offered a bag, this review would definitely have been five stars. Visit the store and bring your own bag.

Albert Van den Berg: This is one of the hidden gems of Mille End. I was walking around and I decided to get in because it has a very bohème atmosphere. There are many choices of books in English and French. The prices are fair and I think this is the right place to be if you are looking for a bargain.You can easily spend half an hour here to pick your favorite titles.

Jeff Eng: This store is packed with plenty of curious items, as the name implies. There are a ton of fun and random things here that I'm sure that most people would find something of interest here. I didn't end up buy anything, as I typically don't want to accumulate a lot of stuff, but I still enjoyed stopping in and browsing all of the unique items here. Worth a look for sure.The owner was super kind. Here's why:We were on vacation here and my young daughter really wanted some gemstones. We gave her some money for the trip to spend however she liked on souvenirs and she was really struggling to decide as she wanted other things as well. We told her it was completely up to her and what she wanted. We must have been there for a good 10 minutes discussing this with her and she finally decided to use some of her money here. The owner must have overheard us as when we got the cash register, she offered my daughter a discount because she knew that my daughter really wanted the gemstones.Even though they were only a few dollars, it was an extremely kind gesture and one that we certainly won't forget.Check it out!

I would like to bring to your attention to a cashier called Rita who is working for you at Place Vertu and is most of the time at the cash at the centers entrance facing Adonis. Her Name is Rita she is one of the best workers I have ever seen or had the pleasure of being served by her. She has a constant smile on her face , she helps people all the time even when people do not ask for help. Last week I was trying to activate my new card from Canadian tire. I was on the phone for 3 days waiting for more than 30 mints every time and I could not. When I went shopping on Thursday and told Rita this she quickly got on the phone to customers service and within minuets I was able to activate my card and paid for my shopping with it. Rita is always ready to help. she knows where to find things and if she can not give you an answer she will call the department and find out anything you want or need. She is efficient quick, helpful, always ready to help, has a great personality and is the only one that does her job as a profetional ,aware of everyone who goes in and out of the store. She is excellent at her work and should be promoted as a manager or her wages should be increased. The owner of Canadian tire should be proud to have such a person working for them. saker saker: Hello.. I studied at Carré Saint Laurent. It was the most beautiful days in which we learned the French language. The staff were the most wonderful that can be described. They were very kind and cooperative, and thanks to them we learned the French language. We have a proverb that says, “Whoever teaches me a letter will make me a slave,” and when you hear the teacher’s name, you must stand in reverence and respect for him. Thank you to all the staff.
