E: My dad has been going to this deli since the 80s. We're in Ottawa, and used to be able to do the trip very frequently. Now that he can't, I stop by every time I'm in Montreal and buy some meats as gifts. Anyone I have ever given sausages to becomes absolutely obsessed. It is really nice when the butcher is the owner of the store, so he takes care of you and tries his best so you have a good quality meat with some advice. I spoke with him on the phone asking about beef short ribs, he answered and explained in patience. I bought an 1855 black beef angus, and I cooked it for 6 hrs. with bbq sauce, the meat was the best piece I've ever had since I moved to Canada.

None of Your Business: These guys have some of the best prices I have seen, and the quality is pretty damn good. Want a standing rib roast for four but don't want to sell your kidneys, go there. Need a good size chicken for Sunday dinner for under 20$ they've got you covered. Want some specialty meats like boar or bison...bingo! In an age of declining quality and shrinkflation these gentlemen are my go to butchers. I just wish they didn't close on Sundays in January.

Thankfully I walked by Boucherie Hongroise and saw a little soup and sandwich counter. Let me tell you, the spicy sausage sandwich with mustard and sauerkraut was so simple and delicious that I haven’t stopped thinking about it for a week. The bread was so soft and that sausage with a nice kick! I will be back the minute I’m in Montreal again.

Bernard CELLI: An extraordinary place which reminds us a little, on a scale model, of the Grande Epicerie in Paris. The meat is exceptional and there is a wide variety of cheeses and salads.
Danny Dinh: Finally decided to visit this popular location and it was worth it. Though all I got was a sandwich, it was delicious, crispy, and I loved the cheese!
Irene Maria: This is the best boucher in Montreal, the meat is fresh, the homemade sausages are very good and the seafood is of great quality. It is far from my home, but the quality of their products bring me to this boucher frequently, it is worth it the travel. The staff is polite and always ready to help, which definitely is a plus.
