PATRICK GRENIER: If you want to be treated like royalty, this is the place. They prepare the salad and the crepes in front of you. The food is phenomenal and the wine cellar very impressive. Katherine Parker: Danny and Matthew were exceptional - they exceeded every expectation we had in regards to service. Rib N Reef doesn’t offer a fresh squeezed margarita, I asked Matthew for one and he made it happen. It was delicious and he went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. Danny had a great intuition for service making you feel like you were the only ones in the restaurant. I would highly recommend asking for them during your next visit. Service like this is VERY HARD to come by so when you do experience this type of service it is memorable
Lex DT: Very laidback steak house, good service, good consistent food. I’ve been going there for 15 years. The drinks are also really good drink and they have a good wine list.Why not fully 5 stars ? The valet parking… the restaurant is literally in a parking lot, just drop it or make them less agressive. I don’t like people parking my cars and it’s less convenient for me when I come with my kids. Every time it’s a story of telling them I don’t want valet … I’m already in the parking I can get between 2 lines.

The best ingredients available turned into art for the eyes and taste buds combined with great service is what drives me to come back.Some of the menu highlights included fresh mint tea, onion soup served in an onion, lobster cappuccino, and more paired with phenomenal wines; also, eye watering variety of deserts — my personal choice for best desert was the maple cotton candy.The highlight of the wine pairing was a mistery wine served in black glass. It was of course outstanding in flavor but also unique in appearance.

It's not the type of place to go if your interested is a warm, superfilling comfort meal. Atmosphere is beautifully decorated and has nice lighting. Robert Oliver: Fantastic dinner, probably the best we had on our trip. Had the seafood special appetizer with the aoli sauce which was incredible. Beef tartar was great too! Split the New York strip with the bone marrow. Cooked to perfection and so rich with the marrow also liked the side horse radish cabbage. Someone else got the lobster pasta which was outstanding! Enjoyed the lemon sorbet thoroughly!

The price is absolutely ridiculous and astronomical for what it is. $70 is a lot of money and they no longer provide a mimosa with that and they used to give the mothers a rose. No smoked salmon!!!! It is not worth the money!

Our waiter was very helpful and had a great personality. We had a oysters, scallops and the duck. The food was truly some of the best we've ever had. I am still dreaming about my scallops. Wine list is impressive as well. They serve d'yquem for dessert if someone is willing to drop major bucks.

While the brown butter mousse was delicious, the sea urchin lacked a bit of its distinctive flavor for my taste. Unfortunately, the complimentary bread was served cold and didn’t make much of an impression compared to the other outstanding dishes.The service was fantastic. They efficiently cleaned our table, and water and wine refills were prompt. However, I found the ambiance to be a bit noisy compared to Europea, where I had dined previously. The steak was cooked perfectly and topped with a great herb butter while the fries were hot and crisp. My friend got a salad that tasted fresh and was a good opener. Emily Zimmerman: My husband, good friend and I had such a good time at garde manger while we were visiting from California. Montreal is famous for it's food and garde mangers reputation precedes it, but it was even better than we expected. The vibe of this place felt like it was bringing fine dining to a millenial crowd with the music and ambiance. And unlike many other fine dining establishments where the clientele skews much older, this place was packed with people between 25 and 40. The dress code ranged from smart casual to jeans.Our favorite part of the meal was how bilingual it is. My husband and friend are native French but fluent in English, so we tried using English for me.
