4worldlovers: Having spent most of our childhood summers in Italy, we would relish the moment, at the crack of dawn, where fresh cornetti (plural for cornetto) were delivered to our aunt’s cafe in Pescara. This marked the beginning of “La Colazione” or breakfast. As we bit into the fragrant and flaky golden dough, we savoured the delectable custard or jam filling.
Little did we know that these memories of our Italian holidays, lounging around and enjoying fresh, oven-baked cornetti, were the beginning of a delicious adventure!
Upon our meeting Stefano, a talented Florentine baker, we knew it was finally time to bring this wonderful Italian tradition to Montreal. We wanted to introduce Il Cornetto to friends and customers alike, as well as to satisfy our own personal cravings!
Since our opening, we have continued our quest in bringing modern Italian specialties as well as timeless traditional delicacies to Montreal. We continue to develop a full line of artisanal products made fresh, in-house and ready to enjoy every day at our pasticceria in Little Italy, or in the comfort of your own homes, surrounded by family and friends.

Mia M.: PLV did our wedding cake recently and knocked it out of the park. We had the lemon blueberry cake with vanilla buttercream - a cake that had sentimental value to us - and it was just as we had originally remembered it. The cake was moist, fresh, and not too sweet. We received many compliments from our guests. Our venue was equally as impressed and asked where the cake was from, as it was one of the best they had tasted. The presentation was also beautifully done.Communication with the patisserie was challenging at times as we encountered slow response times leading up to the event, including confirming final details and payment. This added some stress to the wedding planning process, but ultimately the communication issue was resolved amicably.

We chose the raspberry lemon poppy flavour. It was perfect for spring/summer. It's delicious, light and not too sweet. Lawrence was easy to work with and brought our vision to life. But I bought a cake on Saturday September 4th, half vanilla and have chocolate cake, it looked good but it tasted really funky. It was at least 2 - 3 days old and tasted like the fridge. The frosting had a spicy almost peppery taste that wasn't good. None of my guests enjoyed it and we ended up throwing it out bearly touched. Such a waste. Sorry guys I think you've lost a client. Ok I'm updating my prior bad experience, I gave them another try and was blown way. Quality is back up and the service was extraordinary!
