Diane Yatibingui: Excellent classes, the coach is dedicated to your improvement. There are classes for kids, others for adults. Some parents even take classes with there kids which is a good way to encourage them, bond with them and practice sport at the same time!

H oang: So far so good with this Dojo. My 2 boys had been taking mixed martial arts for a couple of years working on a lot of ground work. I took Taekwondo growing up and was looking for a Taekwondo studio actually that has a good combination of working on Katas and having the entire class working on the basic skills together regardless of the level of belt each person is. This is how I remember things when I took Taekwondo. Unfortunately I could not find a Dojo that operates like that in the West Island. Then I found Kanreikai Karate and on the first trial for the boys I felt I found what I was looking for.This Dojo has a great atmosphere, instructors that are thorough with explanations and walk around to give the students pointers on how to improve. The first few classes my boys were sweating and worked on some great fundamentals. The quality of students that are in the class is reflective of the attention and care the master takes in working with the class.The pricing is very reasonable and plenty of options for classes through out the week.

Aref Taghizadeh: I started there in 1988. Were there for 2 years and went back in 2018 as an occasional practitioner.Best ever experience. Friendly staff and the the principal instructors, sensei claude and Bob are the best. When you practice there, you feel at home. The only problem is, the dojo is in downtown, if you live in downtown I encourage you to go there, and if you live far, go occasionally as is the best place in Montreal to learn and practice aikido.
Paulo Bottas: My 7 year old son has been taking the children's class at the dojo since he was 5 years old. Mohamed Sensei is an excellent master because he makes training dynamic and fun, without neglecting discipline and respect for others and the place. During the pandemic, the course was given in a parent-student format. When everything returned to normal, I signed up for the adult course, it felt so good. If you are a parent looking for a good activity in downtown Montreal, I highly recommend aikido classes!

The instructors are really engaging and have the classes tailored to the age group. They make it really fun for the younger kids while still teaching them more than just karate. It seems to me that if classes were held every day, she would go every day. I like the variety of classes: physical training, karate techniques, self-defense techniques, instructive stories and instructions from the Sensei👌. The gym is clean AF, we're talking cleaned mats and walls between classes, people bringing a change of clothes when doing multiple classes, showers and even deodorant for everyone who needs it.Coach David has created a small place with everything you need, great instruction, endless potential and a positive, yet organized and disciplined place. It' for fighters, hobbyists and martial art enthusiasts. I cannot say enough great things about this gym.

Olga Rozin: At first I was really nervous because I have zero background in martial arts. I wanted to get out of my comfort zone a little and try something different but I wasn't too sure what to expect. I signed up for the Jujitsu class and ended up loving it! It's fun and a great workout too. I also have to say that I was wondering how it would go cause there are generally more men in these classes and I'm obviously not that strong, but David always finds ways to accomodate me and make it work. So if you're a woman and you're wondering if you should try this don't hesitate, I'm glad I did. Def recommend!

The instructors are patient, attentive and committed, towards the children and also towards the few adults who take the course! They are great examples for young people. The owner is friendly and responds quickly to our questions and requests.

Monsieur Dess: Enrolling my 9 year old son in this karate school is the best decision I made for my son over the last year. The sensei has taught at this school for several decades. She is professional, she instills discipline in the child with a touch of gentleness and she pushes the children to exceed their limits in each lesson. After 3 weeks of lessons my son told me he wanted to become a black belt. I recommend that all parents looking for a constructive activity for their children consider this establishment.
