yx Sun: I had an incredible 3-hour experience with their 7-course tasting menu! My favorites were the beef steak, quail, and two desserts. The beef and quail were exceptionally tender, and the accompanying sauces were bursting with flavor. Both dishes had a divine aroma when they arrived. Even though I’m not usually a fan of sweet dishes, I thoroughly enjoyed their desserts. They struck a perfect balance, not overly sweet, and the sorbet with sponge cake combination was delightful.The meal began with a brown butter mousse amuse-bouche, followed by the sea urchin as the first course. While the brown butter mousse was delicious, the sea urchin lacked a bit of its distinctive flavor for my taste. Unfortunately, the complimentary bread was served cold and didn’t make much of an impression compared to the other outstanding dishes.The service was fantastic. They efficiently cleaned our table, and water and wine refills were prompt. However, I found the ambiance to be a bit noisy compared to Europea, where I had dined previously. Overall, it was a memorable night at this restaurant.

Derrek Nador: Update April 2024, as good as ever! Wine list, service and food were 5 stars. If you want to splurge on a special occasion this is a top spot in Montreal to do so! Superb service and food. The food speaks for itself. Fresh ingredients, delishious dishes with great flavors. The service is some of the friendliest, most bilingual ive had recently. Could be a little over bearing if you dont want someone checking in on you very often, but for me it added to the night. Duck appetizer, the duck main and the roasted quail.
Marky Marc: Beef tartare was way too salty, couldn't taste anything else. Bacon wrapped rabbit was delicious. Shucked snow crab special was great, so much easier to eat. Brussel sprouts had a nice sauce. Hibiscus ice cream sandwich was perfect, though not sure why it was wrapped up like a soap bar. Great music selection. Excellent service. House martini was like a Lemon Drop, definitely enjoyable. The recommended Cabernet red was a great accompaniment.

Emily Zimmerman: My husband, good friend and I had such a good time at garde manger while we were visiting from California. Montreal is famous for it's food and garde mangers reputation precedes it, but it was even better than we expected. The vibe of this place felt like it was bringing fine dining to a millenial crowd with the music and ambiance. And unlike many other fine dining establishments where the clientele skews much older, this place was packed with people between 25 and 40. The dress code ranged from smart casual to jeans.Our favorite part of the meal was how bilingual it is. My husband and friend are native French but fluent in English, so we tried using English for me. However, the meal used uncommon ingredients that they didn't know in English so our server was giving us a full rundown in English and French without missing a beat. Seeing other photos of the menu I guess they rotate the plate quite often. All the options were really appealing, and we are really happy with what we ordered.The price is expensive, but for a different restaurant experience it was nice. Milan Nayee: Amazing food, service and ambiance.We had the snails followed by the lamb chops and mushroom risotto. Everything was delicious. Creme brûlée for dessert was also amazing.Cocktails were great, mirage was delicious - only critique would be that they could offer more wines by the glass. But the ones offered were enough to pair with the meal.

Roger Rosenquist: Awesome dining experience here. My friend and I both got the steak frites, which were delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and topped with a great herb butter while the fries were hot and crisp. My friend got a salad that tasted fresh and was a good opener. We also split some of their profiteroles for dessert, and those were extremely tasty. Would recommend.
Doriane Das: We came for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. The service was excellent, the servers very kind and attentive. My husband had the duck confit and I chose the mussels/fries. The experience was very good but we were disappointed by the duck confit dish which was certainly excellent but in very small quantities - especially on the accompaniment where three potatoes fought a duel on 3 salad leaves... However we had watched the menu in advance with photos from previous comments…

Youngmin Lee: A great French restaurant, with amazing food, wine list, and service. If you go during the day time, try to book à table under the glass ceiling! I really liked their appetizers and desserts the most, their paté was amazing, and the bone marrow, chèvre salade, grilled octopus, duck confit were also really tasty. The lemon tart was one of the best I've had in Montreal.

Robert Oliver: Fantastic dinner, probably the best we had on our trip. Had the seafood special appetizer with the aoli sauce which was incredible. Beef tartar was great too! Split the New York strip with the bone marrow. Cooked to perfection and so rich with the marrow also liked the side horse radish cabbage. Someone else got the lobster pasta which was outstanding! Enjoyed the lemon sorbet thoroughly!
Anick Globensky-Bromow: , cooked perfectly. Even the beer was perfect. I tried the babeigne au rhum for dessert. Will definitely go back to try what our table neighbors had, lobster spaghetti, which was a whole lobster on pasta! We spent 250$ for a shared meal with no appetizers, so expect to spend a little. Worth every penny!

Chantal Lanthier: We had the starter of Caesar salads, crispy shrimp, and of course the T-bone with vegetables... Yummm... I recommend this restaurant and I'm going back soon to enjoy the magnificent terrace! I recommend!

So why only 4 stars?When we arrived at about 10.45, we asked if we could have coffee, and the waiter hesitated before saying yes and then giving us a lunch menu each. It was only when we looked at other tables we saw that they had a smaller menu. So we asked what they were, and we were told they were breakfast menus. We then asked if breakfast was still available and were told "yes".So, we ordered from the smaller menu and had a lovely breakfast
Eddy Lin: Shoutout to Pascal, probably the best server we had in this trip. Gave us lots of time, no pressure 😉 asked us for our food preference, patiently listing the tea selection. Always had the customer experience in mind. Food was good, just look at how the eggs were done. Kitchen was faster than the drinks bar for some reason, but overall, glad we visited this restaurant
