Mikey: We had a memorable meal at XO Le Restaurant when we visited Montreal. The decor and service were top notch, which was to be expected for the range of pricing though ambiance was a bit too formal for our liking.My plate of foie gras was well plated, but what stole the show was the sea bass which was pan seared to perfection. Even years since we had this meal, we still reminisce about that pan seared fish!

Kade Audain: James Le Restaurant is the best restaurant that exists in Montreal at a reasonable price. They are attentive and efficient. They provide the best service and they have a gorgeously decorated establishment. They offer rarities like gold flaked desserts and perfectly cooked filet mignon to your taste. It’s the only place I want to go for my birthday. It’s the only restaurant that deserves special occasions in my opinion. The food is absolutely delicious and when you leave you’ll feel like you ate like royalty. I am in love with this restaurant.

Man Carvian: It was a delightful experience to have dinner here. Our friend invited us to eat here for the tasting menu. It locates in the heart of Montreal. The atmosphere here is cozy and lively. It gives us a great moment to relax. The staffs were attentive and knowledgeable which gave us an exceptional service experience. They provided excellent explanation and recommendation throughout the meal. We tried variety of dishes which came with different wine. They were complementing the meal perfectly. We had our dessert in the wine cellar which is one of the biggest wine cellar in Montreal. It was pretty impressed me. It is definitely worth to try.

Ellie Martineau-Lavoie: What a great experience we had at Vino Rosso! The service was impeccable, attentive and what can I say about the food! The waiter recommended an excellent white wine that would pair wonderfully with the dishes we ordered. There were three of us at the table and we started by sharing the starters of Mozzarella caprese and Polpo sulla griglia. It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten octopus so well prepared! The flavors were well balanced and it had the perfect texture. The fresh cheese melted in the mouth. We didn't even have time to take photos of the dishes as they were already devoured!We continued by sharing three of their different salads. The Stagionale salad tasted very refreshing with the fennel and pomegranate. You could taste the quality of the olive oil used. The Italian salad was a successful classic and the arugula salad was a great flavor combo.For the main course, I was tempted by the swordfish at the server's recommendation and I was more than delighted! It was the first time I tasted it and this white fish with firm and delicate flesh won me over! The cooking was exquisite. The accompanying vegetables were well matched and I was overjoyed by the little yellow, sweet beets that complimented the fish.We finished with a dessert of fresh cannolis and homemade pistachio ice cream. The crunch of the dough was enough to give you a thrill of pleasure! We left full and happy with a fabulous gastronomic experience in a relaxed and warm atmosphere! I highly recommend!

The best ingredients available turned into art for the eyes and taste buds combined with great service is what drives me to come back.Some of the menu highlights included fresh mint tea, onion soup served in an onion, lobster cappuccino, and more paired with phenomenal wines; also, eye watering variety of deserts — my personal choice for best desert was the maple cotton candy.The highlight of the wine pairing was a mistery wine served in black glass. It was of course outstanding in flavor but also unique in appearance.

Josiane Lepine: There were 3 of us. Two of us gave carte blanche to the chef. The coppa dish with clams was excellent, the marriage of flavors, the freshness of the dish... the mackerel melted in the mouth, the horseradish was a nice addition that didn't take up all the space. The Hollandaise sauce on the white asparagus I would have eaten with a spoon. As a main course we had the pork chop, I have been avoiding pork for a long time, but this one with the artichokes was really good. The 3rd person accompanying us had fewer options on the menu for various reasons and found what he was looking for. We tasted his dishes and the salad was not flat at all and what can we say about the duck pappardelle dish, a succulent and comforting dish.For desserts, one had the flan which seemed really good and I tasted the chocolate and grilled hazelnut tart, a very nice portion of tart with quality chocolate!I would definitely go back to try a new menu!

Even though I’m not usually a fan of sweet dishes, I thoroughly enjoyed their desserts. They struck a perfect balance, not overly sweet, and the sorbet with sponge cake combination was delightful.The meal began with a brown butter mousse amuse-bouche, followed by the sea urchin as the first course. While the brown butter mousse was delicious, the sea urchin lacked a bit of its distinctive flavor for my taste. Unfortunately, the complimentary bread was served cold and didn’t make much of an impression compared to the other outstanding dishes.The service was fantastic. They efficiently cleaned our table, and water and wine refills were prompt. However, I found the ambiance to be a bit noisy compared to Europea, where I had dined previously. Overall, it was a memorable night at this restaurant.

Derrek Nador: Update April 2024, as good as ever! Wine list, service and food were 5 stars. If you want to splurge on a special occasion this is a top spot in Montreal to do so! Superb service and food. The food speaks for itself. Fresh ingredients, delishious dishes with great flavors. The service is some of the friendliest, most bilingual ive had recently. Could be a little over bearing if you dont want someone checking in on you very often, but for me it added to the night. Duck appetizer, the duck main and the roasted quail.
Marky Marc: Beef tartare was way too salty, couldn't taste anything else. Bacon wrapped rabbit was delicious. Shucked snow crab special was great, so much easier to eat. Brussel sprouts had a nice sauce. Hibiscus ice cream sandwich was perfect, though not sure why it was wrapped up like a soap bar. Great music selection. Excellent service. House martini was like a Lemon Drop, definitely enjoyable. The recommended Cabernet red was a great accompaniment.

Jessy Landry-Beaudin: Me and my partner have been coming here for several years now. We travel 6 to 7 times during the winter and each time we sleep at the hotel and leave our vehicle here while we are away. Emmanuel Pena: First time ever coming into Montreal and came to the right place for French Cuisine. Arthur at the reception and as a waiter was very polite and helpful with translating the menu for me and my parents. Julian the chef was just phenomenal, was very generous and hit the taste buds right on point. Definitely recommend this place if you want to have fine dining in Montreal.

If you're reading this and considering a visit, the foccacia bread alone is enough to drop whatever you're doing and get a table. It is without question the best piece of bread I've ever had.Everything from appetizers to entrees to dessert was incredible. We especially loved the entrees; I highly recommend the venison. We sat outside and brought a bottle of wine. We had perfect weather, our server was great and very attentive, and I can't think of a single complaint.If you have just one night in Montreal, eat here.

Laura Sims: We were a group of four ladies who went to Montreal from Sherbrooke for a concert. Since the concert was an Italian opera singer and it was one of my friends birthdays we decided to have Italian! This restaurant was perfect!! The staff were all SO nice! Our waiter was able to answer all of our questions and made recommendations that were delicious!! They were very accommodating for our group and the food was DELICIOUS!!!! I only give it 5 stars because I can’t give it 10!Parking: We parked next to the Bell center and were able to walk there within 10 minutes. Very easy walk especially after we ate all of that delicious food! There is some parking in front of the restaurant but it can be limited.

After a day of exploring the city's historic landmarks, we were craving a taste of Italy, and Da Vinci did not disappoint.The highlight of our evening was the exquisite Asso Baku dish, reminiscent of my favorite Italian meal enjoyed in Quebec City. The succulent cut of beef, cooked to perfection with bone-in, paired harmoniously with the soft rice and flavorful sauce. It was a culinary delight that transported us back to the streets of Italy.Beyond the exceptional cuisine, the warm hospitality extended by Raneem, a beautiful Arabian girl, and Lavi, the owner, left a lasting impression. Learning about Lavi's journey from Bangladesh to Montreal added an extra layer of pride and connection to our dining experience. Additionally, being able to visit their expansive kitchen and meet Shep, as well as conversing with Lavi's another partner, provided insight into the dedication and passion behind the scenes.The attention to detail, generous portions, and welcoming atmosphere made our visit to Da Vinci truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic taste of Italy in the heart of Montreal.
