BOUILLON BILK: what do users think?

Kayla Seider: My husband and I traveled to Montreal for our honeymoon and had the pleasure of dining at Bouillon Bilk. We had an incredible dining experience! The service was fantastic. Our waiter was very helpful and had a great personality. We had a oysters, scallops and the duck. The food was truly some of the best we've ever had. I am still dreaming about my scallops. We highly recommend this restaurant and hope to be back someday!

David: I do have an expectation that it'd be not just a very good experience but a great and/or excellent experience. A couple of things stood out to me in this regard. The starter bread came with butter, however the butter was still quite cold

Squirrel Friend: This place is simply amazing. The food is creative and delicious. The service is attentive and friendly. The vibe is casual and cozy. The highlight of my meal was the foie gras dessert. Yeah, it sounds kind of wrong but tastes extremely right. Almost like a banana foster with duck liver instead of ton of butter. Wine list is impressive as well. They serve d'yquem for dessert if someone is willing to drop major bucks.

Nicole Caico: Like almost all the other reviews here say, this place is fantastic. The tasting menu was amazing and the bottle of wine the sommelier helped us pick went well with everything. The restaurant is elegant, and all the staff are very friendly and professional.

Alexandre Talbot: to richer dishes

Simon Forest: We had the tasting menu with Canadian and European wine pairings. Each of the five courses was uniquely tasty and well balanced. Wines enhance the flavors of meals. The service was impeccable, with special mention to the sommelier who was very friendly.Great atmosphere.

Toqué!: what do users think?

Jessie D'Aigle: Toqué is a culinary gem that truly delivers an exceptional dining experience through its "menu dégustation". From start to finish, this restaurant exuded excellence in service, presentation, and taste.Upon stepping into Toqué, we were greeted with impeccable service that set the tone for the evening. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcomed and at ease throughout the dining experience. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the seven-course tasting menu that proved to be a culinary journey like no other. Each dish was not only beautifully plated but also showcased a careful balance of flavors that left us wanting more. From the first bite to the last, every course was a delightful surprise, showcasing the chef's mastery in combining ingredients to create a symphony of taste. My girlfriend, Julie, and I were thoroughly impressed by the thoughtful execution of each dish and appreciated the attention to detail in every aspect of the meal. ... And the champagne pairing was excellent.

Isabel Carrier: , nice meeting with Normand Laprise

yx Sun: I had an incredible 3-hour experience with their 7-course tasting menu! My favorites were the beef steak, quail, and two desserts. The beef and quail were exceptionally tender, and the accompanying sauces were bursting with flavor. Both dishes had a divine aroma when they arrived. Even though I’m not usually a fan of sweet dishes, I thoroughly enjoyed their desserts. They struck a perfect balance, not overly sweet, and the sorbet with sponge cake combination was delightful. The meal began with a brown butter mousse amuse-bouche, followed by the sea urchin as the first course. While the brown butter mousse was delicious, the sea urchin lacked a bit of its distinctive flavor for my taste. Unfortunately, the complimentary bread was served cold and didn’t make much of an impression compared to the other outstanding dishes. The service was fantastic. They efficiently cleaned our table, and water and wine refills were prompt. However, I found the ambiance to be a bit noisy compared to Europea, where I had dined previously. Overall, it was a memorable night at this restaurant.

Ju Co: What an experience!DeliciousSuper friendly staffWarm and friendly atmosphere, without fussExcellent place for a special romantic date!

Melanie Qin: This restaurant pushes the boundaries of creativity to the next level. The extra effort in each dish is carefully crafted with intention and elegance. It seems like so many ingredients when the plate is presented, but they all work harmoniously together to give an impactful flavor that feels familiar yet totally unfamiliar at the same time. With the menu changing seasonally, it's without a doubt super enticing for me to go back to discover a whole new set of works of art. Because that's what it was... masterpieces!

Lavanya Kala: . They really took care of us and we had a great time. Strongly recommend a visit! Make sure you do the wine pairings.

Éliane Giasson: Superb experience! The staff is extremely attentive to us.The food and wine pairings were sublime, and the sommelier's explanations were very dynamic. We loved our experience!Thank you so much !

Raphaël Sylvestre Bouchard: , hardwood floors, a few discreet plants and original lamps and ceiling lights. Far from the formal chic of a hotel restaurant, you will agree. Additionally, when making the reservation, I was told that the dress code required business attire. Either. Everyone was well dressed, but following a more liberal and relaxed interpretation of the concept. However, the experience is filled with delicate touches that leave no doubt about the refinement of the place.Apart from the surprise born from my imaginative spirit, the total absence of a map gave us another one. We take the utmost care to ask ourselves if we suffer from any allergies or intolerances to ensure that the one and only 7-course menu

Derrek Nador: Update April 2024, as good as ever! Wine list, service and food were 5 stars. If you want to splurge on a special occasion this is a top spot in Montreal to do so! Superb service and food. The food speaks for itself. Fresh ingredients, delishious dishes with great flavors. The service is some of the friendliest, most bilingual ive had recently. Could be a little over bearing if you dont want someone checking in on you very often, but for me it added to the night. Duck appetizer, the duck main and the roasted quail.

Marky Marc: Beef tartare was way too salty, couldn't taste anything else. Bacon wrapped rabbit was delicious. Shucked snow crab special was great, so much easier to eat. Brussel sprouts had a nice sauce. Hibiscus ice cream sandwich was perfect, though not sure why it was wrapped up like a soap bar. Great music selection. Excellent service. House martini was like a Lemon Drop, definitely enjoyable. The recommended Cabernet red was a great accompaniment.

John Bailey: Great food . Great value. Great staffFun decor

Roger Rosenquist: Awesome dining experience here. My friend and I both got the steak frites, which were delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly and topped with a great herb butter while the fries were hot and crisp. My friend got a salad that tasted fresh and was a good opener. We also split some of their profiteroles for dessert, and those were extremely tasty. Would recommend.

Doriane Das: We came for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. The service was excellent, the servers very kind and attentive. My husband had the duck confit and I chose the mussels/fries. The experience was very good but we were disappointed by the duck confit dish which was certainly excellent but in very small quantities - especially on the accompaniment where three potatoes fought a duel on 3 salad leaves... However we had watched the menu in advance with photos from previous comments…

Nicholas: I got the quail with wild rice, SO good. Amazing traditional French restaurant with amazing service as well.

Youngmin Lee: A great French restaurant, with amazing food, wine list, and service. If you go during the day time, try to book à table under the glass ceiling! I really liked their appetizers and desserts the most, their paté was amazing, and the bone marrow, chèvre salade, grilled octopus, duck confit were also really tasty. The lemon tart was one of the best I've had in Montreal.

Arman Izadi: WELL WORTH THE WAITTiny restaurant, huge lines, and for a good reason. The food quality is astounding. Never have I had food this good this fast for this cheap.Main courses under $18 abundant, appetizers under $10, service is crazy fast like a good busy restaurant should be.Get the curry get the bibimbap

Emilie Stewart: .Vegetarian options: Tofu. Get the tofu & salads. Fried Green beans are also delicious and pretty unique!

Maya Jacquier: Absolutely amazing. Automatically became a favorite due to the fast service, wonderful staff and mouth watering food. Delicious food, always fresh and at a wonderful price. I the lines can be long but they can be avoided if you come aliens 5:30, then you might wait only about 20 minutes. One of the best spots in the city, and a must try for anyone passing through Montréal

Sara F: Delicious ramen! Their fried chicken was also great

Billy Leung-Jok: A great izakaya with excellent price points. I've come to this place when it was first opened and I am glad to see this place has not only kept up with the quality expanded their operation as well. Between the 2 of us, we ordered 3 entrées, 1 yakitori and shared a dessert and the check came to $67 before tips. Excellent food and value. One girl was rather abrupt with her attitude but everyone else was nice and friendly.

Wei-Min Hum: . The dishes are to be shared. Very varied choice of fish and meat. A personal taste, I find that there is sometimes too much sauce in the dishes.Very small restaurant, but that's what gives the atmosphere to the restaurant. Not suitable for groups, 4 people max otherwise it is very difficult to find a place. You have to go early at 5:00 PM, otherwise there is a line-up and wait. The service is excellent and very fast. An absolutely must-try restaurant in Montreal!

Tennessee Fats: After watching a YouTube review of this place I made it a “Must Go” stop on this trip. The place did NOT disappoint. It’s a smaller place and the tables are packed in there but that really helps set the atmosphere. It’s loud. For anyone that’s noise-a-phobic this one may trigger you but I found it great and could clearly hear the person I was with. The service was fast and they have no problem with English for the travellers in town that struggle with ordering in French. The food was great and you can watch it being prepared at the open counter.A very eclectic place to eat at and a must go for anyone serious about breakfast and brunch.

Raymond Miranti: As far as I am concerned this was the best brunch and breakfast in North America. Periodt. I had the "I'll have it All" a few times and it's my favorite. Everything was wonderful, eggs, pancake, french toast and the bacon is cooked perfectly. The coffee was wonderful I had the "bowl" of latte.ONLY NEGATIVE - its not located in New York or closer to me

Andrea Rogers: Omg… where do we startDelicous food great vibe, a little tight, long line during lunch but worth the wait. If coming early or late no line but right at lunch it will be a line down the street. It moves fast but come patient 😅No reservations first come first serve.Me; tiramisu indecisive: my favorite thing were the potatoes, wow! I got guac in place of pork on plate, and I was full off the main items. The French toast was killer and melted in our mouths, only ate half of it and one small slice of multigrain bread. I got a pistachio latte… 🤤 I mean whatttttt yeah the food coma was real!My hubby got eggs Benedict steak and eggs; loved all the food but vibe was his favorite! The atmosphere was his thing Needless to say this is a MUST when in Montreal MY respects L’Avenue

Otto Tai: It's not an Internet celebrity restaurant, but I still had to wait in line for 30 minutes. The food was delicious and the service was good. When I was serving the food, I adjusted the position of the plate and accidentally dropped the fork, but the waiter caught it with good skill and replaced it with a new fork. Audrey patiently introduced and recommended delicious dishes and delicious restaurants worth recommending.

From Moi: Breathtaking! The meals are plentiful. An amazing menu that will please everyone!Vegetarian options: Lots of meat-free options!

Le Mousso/Le Petit Mousso: what do users think?

Audrey Couture: Wow! Excellent food paired with various wines, each as good as the next. At first, we're not sure if we're going to go out and eat a Big Mac trio because of the portions, but no need! The flavors were a real delight in the mouth and a surprise with each new dish! Spring menu recommended! This was our first experience, we plan to try the menu every season. The only problem was that the music wasn't always representative of the place.Dietary restrictions: Listened to allergies, did not need to make a reminder and informed us of changes made as they happened

katie robitaille: An evening for 4, in April. The restaurant was full and they were introducing their spring menu.We liked the more casual atmosphere than some other large restaurants of the same type, with a more relaxed dress code. The table service is impeccable and attentive. The cuisine is sophisticated and the presentation careful. The flavors were so pleasant in the mouth. But in this same price range, we did not have the evening experience that we found in other great restaurants. The least favorite part of the evening was the wine pairing. They feature private imports taken from small batches of little-known grape varieties. But for $125, no one at the table fell in love or wanted more. It is not for nothing that certain great wines are well recognized around the world, it is because they are very popular. Perhaps an alternation between small producers and reliable values would help the experience. The amount of food was adequate, if you are not a big eater. For the quantity of alcohol in the glasses, I used my breathalyzer 20 minutes after my departure and I was at 0.00!One last downside, the pace of the services is dictated for the entire room and it is not possible to slow down if your appetite requires it.In short, one more x on my list of great restaurants to discover but I won't go back.

Didoudi: I had dietary restrictions and they made some really bold substitutions which is really appreciated! The butter is amazing!I absolutely loved my experience the food is extraordinary the service is impeccable. You are definitely having a good time

Jean-François Ouellet: but it's successful. The portions are reasonable for a 12 course, we ate our fill. Prices are comparable to other fine dining restaurants. We also appreciated the pay equity between the service and kitchen employees who share the tips.

Mitchel Baglivi: This special Montreal restaurant's food, service and purpose speak for themselves, as do the multitude of 5-Star reviews. From start to finish my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed each uniquely conceived and layered dish, and the comfortable, charming and well choreographed presentation, all balanced beautifully by the gracious and mindful sommelier whose knowledge is encyclopedic and recommendations spot-on.So, here, a genuine thank you and job well done Chef and the entire Le Mousso team.

Javier Á. Nieto Moncó: Really nice experience overall. The place was cozy and welcoming, with a really intimate ambiance. The menu was five or six appetizer plates, and five or six main plates. Seeing other photos of the menu I guess they rotate the plate quite often. Garde Manger: what do users think?

Emily Zimmerman: My husband, good friend and I had such a good time at garde manger while we were visiting from California. Montreal is famous for it's food and garde mangers reputation precedes it, but it was even better than we expected. The vibe of this place felt like it was bringing fine dining to a millenial crowd with the music and ambiance. And unlike many other fine dining establishments where the clientele skews much older, this place was packed with people between 25 and 40. The dress code ranged from smart casual to jeans. Our favorite part of the meal was how bilingual it is. My husband and friend are native French but fluent in English, so we tried using English for me. However, the meal used uncommon ingredients that they didn't know in English so our server was giving us a full rundown in English and French without missing a beat. She checked on us constantly and seemed to always have time for us despite having several other tables. It was pricy, but for a special experience or occasion you won't be disappointedVegetarian options: They'll customize the meal for vegetariansDietary restrictions: They'll customize the meal for dietary restrictions

Dawn Mist: Carpaccio de Boeuf X 3 all day. Phenomenal. More Chuck for the Buck. tattooed arms and hipster barber/lumberjack hair a plenty. bring your chainsaw and pipe.

Hollis Jones: Had such a great dinner last night at Garde Manger! We had the chef's plate.. Every course was spectacular. Expensive, but worth it for the experience.

Arthur Zak: . The atmosphere and service was warm and fun, almost irreverent. It was pricey, but well worth it for a date night splurge.

Squirrel Friend: What an amazing restaurant. Tasting menu has a lot of quality and seasonal ingredients. The highlights of the meal for me were the crab and carrot dish as well as the mushroom oat porridge. I visited Montreal during the snow crab season, so the crab was out of this world. The porridge was savory and hearty. Service was attentive and friendly. The waitresses were so nice and sweet. One of the waitresses was also in charge of making cocktails, and the drink that I got was delicious. The restaurant is in the back of an old church and has a very unique vibe.

Caroline Duksta: . The staff was friendly and professional, balancing attentiveness while giving us space to enjoy our night seamlessly. The food was refreshing, thoughtful and surprising. I appreciate a slow deliberate meal, never feeling rushed nor forgotten. The smoked oysters were delightful and the sea bass was complimented perfectly with the mushrooms and fennel.

Swati S: Food is great. Honey at the end was such a special touch. The service is amazing: friendly, kind, fast between courses, but you don't feel rushed at all. Would definitely recommend Candide for a great night out with really delicious food.Vegetarian options: They were super understanding and accommodating to provide a vegetarian menu, especially with my added inconvenience that I can't eat mushrooms.Dietary restrictions: Very understanding and kind.
